Eastpointe, MI 48021 ask for an inspection and estimate the guy Eddie quoted me a price for $1100 just for a battery, alternator, and rotted belts. I told Eddie thank you for the estimate but I don't want his shop to complete the repairs. This fuck'd up repair shop got mad I didn't pay them $1100 for a simple repair so they fuck'd up my car and cut some wires. I took my car to a car shop to get my timing gasket and oil pan gasket fix's which came up to 1900 but when I called the shop to see what was goin on with my car they said they finished the job I needed them to fix's but also said I now need a new transmission that will cost me 2000 and I said okay but I do not have the money for it right now so do not fix it the next day I call to pick up my car for the job that I asked them to do they told me that they put the new transmission in (without my permission) and now I need to pay 4000 to get my car out and if I can not pay they will sell my car without my permission or the title to my car I've tried their loan process but I did not qualify I almost tried to pay a couple of hundreds to start the process of the bill goin down but they told me that I have to come with 1000 do not go to this place I still don't have my car it's been months smh read more

This shop Automaster on 8mile & Gratiot they use to be good but since like 2021 they drag ass leaving your car in the back telling you everyday the parts are coming (bs) but the parts never come even after months... so have some free coffee And free water talk to our friendly staff cuz Automaster are going BS fixing your car. And will use your nice car as display to bring in customers. Only posting cuz they straight up ignored my car and left in back to get scratched and rusted. Never once did they touch my car had cobwebs in the engine bay if they new wasn't going to work don't butter me up to bring it in. It is 5:09 in the morning and I'm up worried, worrying wondering all weekend how I'm gonna pay for my vehicle that they fixed without my permission. I had my vehicle towed there on Thursday, May 7, because it hasn't been running. I received a call from a young man named Tony who asked me what did I think was wrong with my vehicle I told him that the battery and the starter needed to be checked and also I needed new brakes and probably rotors to because my brakes pedal was going to the floor. The next day I get a call from a young lady I guess their front desk person telling me that they need to do a diagnostic test on the vehicle that would cost me $310 that would go towards the repair if I decided to let them perform it. I was skeptical so I ask to speak with Tony to further explain what they were asking, Tony gets on the phone and he tells me that that's something that they need to do to find out what's going on with the vehicle so after a while of me questioning him I did give him permission to run the test expecting to hear what they found, never heard anything Friday nor Saturday. On Monday May 10th my son called them and they said they had nothing yet to tell. On Tuesday morning the 11th my son calls that morning again they still have no news. Around 2:48 while I'm driving to pick up my grandkids from school I see that I had a couple missed calls I get home and I call the Roseville number back it's AutoMasters, Tony gets on the line telling me they have my vehicle started and if I wanted to keep it started I would need a major tuneup that would cost $400 "mind you this is the only part of the repair work that they have called and asked permission to do" because right after that Tony precedes to tell me that I already have a bill for $1147. What? Telling me they fix my vehicle, again no one called me to give me any information on what this diagnostic test supposedly found I said supposedly because at no time when speaking with Tony that day did he ever mention the findings when speaking with him. When I asked him who told him to fix my vehicle he was about to say I did but caught himself before it came out his mouth, but then said they had to get it started to see what was wrong ( I thought that was what the $310 diagnostic test was for) and I was told by Tony and the young lady that the price of the diagnostic test would go towards my bill if I decided to allow them to do the work if not I would have to pay for the test the example given to me by Tony was " if your repairs are $510 then the $310 would reflect on your bill" but on Wednesday the 11th when I asked him will the $310 been taken off my bill he told me that's not how it works because it's not like I gave them $310 down he kept acting like something was wrong with my comprehension I told him that's what you said to convince me to even agree to the test in the first place and that is what ever my repair job would be if I would allow them to fix it the $310 would be reflected. Well now he's telling me that that's not how it works then I asked what did they do for the first $1147 he said they put in a brand new Starter (I don't believe at this point it was new), changed the starter wire, and something under the dashboard, remember I told him to check the battery and the starter and I knew I needed a total brake job which was the reason I wasn't driving it. But I was told that I didn't need a battery mind you "their" tow truck driver tried to jump it and it wouldn't start. He then tells me that there is nothing wrong with my brakes in fact he had been in my vehicle and he found nothing wrong with them, my response to him was are you serious I know the brakes are gone! They were going to the floor I would literally be a half block to the light and start pumping in order to stop. So not only do I have to pay these people $1547 that I don't have I will still have to get my brakes done. And the only thing he has to say is we finance. Really!!!!! I'm not saying that Tony is a bad guy I don't know him personally and never have met him this was all over the phone communication. He's doing his job and will say what he needs to. But if this is the way they do business I wouldn't recommend them to a dog!!!!! read more

I've been going to them for years with great results but this particular time they put a defective fuel pump in my car that failed on me 4 separate times.. because of it I wasted so much money on having to get my car towed back to them, Uber rides home, and all for the issue still not being fixed... all the money they charge you would expect quality service.. not only that they put cheap brakes on my car that ended up grinding and the black residue is all over my front rims... they are bad with communication and it's not a coincidence when they fix one thing something else mysteriously goes wrong. Hi, my name is Kenneth Gosier. I've over the course of 3 years have taken my vehicle to auto masters 3 to 4 times and every time it's something new that they allow or do that pisses me of. First and foremost they over charge. A year ago I took my truck to them to get a tune up. I was charged 868.00. Then when I came to pick my truck up, my steering column was broke. Someone had attempted to break into my vehicle and steal it off their premises. 2 days ago, I took my new truck to get looked at so I could know what all needs to be fixed. They kept my truck for 7hours, then 5 minutes before they close they call me and tell me I need a major tune up, a water pump, a battery and battery harnes as well as a thermostat. They told me the cost for repairs with them would be 2274.00. I immediately told them I'd have to discuss the issue with my wife. I called them back and told them before any work is to be done on my truck, I'd like to attemp to apply for a loan through snapp loan. Due to them being closed I couldn't go pick up my truck. The very next day after work I call to pick up my truck because their price was 600.00 over priced, and theses mfers tell me we've already done the work on your vehicle, it's ready. I didn't give these guys the go ahead to work on my vehicle, I told them multiple times do not work on my vehicle until I apply and find out if I'm approved with snapp loan. Now these mfers are trying to hold my vehicle hostage for 2274.00. I will never go to auto masters ever again!!! I took my vehicle to Auto Masters Goodyear as I was experiencing an issue with my heat not working and at one point my temperature gauge went almost the the H indicating it was overheating. Auto Masters informed me that it was going to cost $1,900 to fix a leaking Thermo housing, timing cover, and a coolant leak which was covered under my warranty. I did not agree to this, as I had put $1,200 in to my car to fix oil leaks around Christmas at this same place and decided to get a second opinion. I picked up my vehicle and took it to the Chevy dealership. They just informed me that there is nothing wrong with the thermo housing or timing cover, and that the Coolant outlet itself has a leak, which is covered under warranty. The dealership recommended I get a coolant flush because apparently Auto Masters flushed the system and added a blend of coolant and water. My total from the dealership is $260 which INCLUDES a full-synthetic oil change and tire rotation! I will NEVER go to Auto Masters again and will pass this along to any person I know that even considers going to this place! It's a shame that I cannot rewind time and take my car to the dealership for the $1,200 I spent in "supposed" oil leaks. They are CROOKS! read more
