Auto Collision did an amazing job on my car. I had minor dents and scratches from an accident. They were able to finish the job within 1.5 weeks which was great. Downfall was that I had to wait almost 3 weeks to get my car into the shop to get it fixed because they told me they were super backed up. No biggie. But the real reason why I'm giving them two stars is because of the following: 1. I picked up my car as soon as they called me and said it was ready. I arrived there, checked the surface on the bumper as well as the body. Everything looked smooth, clean and polished. I left a happy customer. On my way home, I looked at the odometer and saw there was an extra 400 miles on the read compared to the final receipt that they gave me. Of course I was pissed! I called my insurance (AAA) right away to notified my agent about it and they were shocked. They investigated and Auto Collision Center told AAA that it was a clerical mistake. The final mileage on the receipt was from the time I dropped it off initially for an estimate/inspection prior to getting the work done. Ok.... I wished I had taken a picture of my odometer when I dropped off my car to get it fixed. So I had to pretty much give them a benefit of a doubt that it was indeed a "clerical mistake". I let that one go. 2. This morning, I couldn't start my car and I know for a fact that it can't be the battery because my car is still brand new from 2014. I called the tow truck and took it to my friend's local body shop. They popped the hood opened and saw that the battery connector wasn't tighten. This caused my car to lose the battery connection off and on and that's why car couldn't start. I saw with my own eyes that it was so loose that he could tighten it with his own hand. My friend then asked me did I initially had my car done. I replied and said yes. He said "whoever you went to did a half a** job of not even double checking if they connected the battery connector prior to giving you your car back." I think it's alarming that the body shop makes rookie mistakes. This is cars you are dealing with. People's lives are in danger if you don't do your job correctly. Good thing it was the morning time when my car wouldn't start. Could you imagine if it was at 3:00 AM? I'd be stranded in the dark. I'm writing this 2 star review to give my fellow Yelpers a heads up so this does not happen to them. I refuse to give Auto Collision Center my business anymore. read more

I brought my car into Auto Collision Center with reluctance, but so happy I did. My car was hit on the passenger side, so I was in need of an auto body shop. I contacted my insurance company and notified them that I wanted the work to be done by a shop that my family and I had used on different occasions and that was a few minutes away from my home. I was scheduled to drop the car off on a Monday to have the work done. After I thought everything was set, I was approached by a relative to use Auto Collision Center because of an indirect connection they had to them. I had some reservations because the shop is in Daly City and I live in San Mateo; everything was set to go with work to begin shortly; and I had to close my claim with my insurance company then contact the other party's insurance and deal with them. When I called I spoke with Keith. He was so pleasant and I felt more at ease after I spoke with him. I dropped my car off and dealt with Mike. He was very informative and he called me to let me know the estimated completion date. I love the fact that you can check out the progress of your car online through pictures. It saves a lot of guessing. When I picked up the car, I was totally amazed! The car looked brand new on the outside and clean and spotless on the inside. I had to take a second look at it to make sure that it was my car. I am so happy that I took my card to Auto Collision Center. Even though it is not as convenient for me as the other shop, it was definitely worth the extra effort. read more

This place is great! They did a wonderful job repairing a damaged fender *and* they finished the work 2 days early. That's enough for 5 stars in my book, but wait there's more! When my car arrived it was freshly washed *and* vacuumed on the inside as well! That's one chore on my list that I was able to cross off for the week. I was sent in this place because USAA has this shop as one of their preferred list. I saw their rating in yelp and I said okay 4 star, not bad. So I got an estimate and drop my car a week later. Far ahead I saw my car and it looked like they did a great job. I got closer and inspected my car on what they repainted and the one they replaced. First thing I noticed was there was some scratches on my passenger side skirt and I showed to the guy who was escorting me and he told me to park next to the vehicle so the detailer can buff it out, so I did move my car where he wanted it. Parked and got off and inspected it more. Then I noticed my right fender( the one they replaced and new painted had a small scratch. I told the guy I found another one. The detailer guy was still sanding and buffing my side skirt and he couldn't remove one of the big scratch. The detailer was able to remove the scratch on my new right fender. So the guy called Keith so he could show where the scratch was. So Keith inspected it and he was telling me that "it could came from stones" and I was like there was more scratch than that before they buffed it out. So Keith wanted them to remove the side skirt and repaint it so I can leave So I said go ahead, but then later I was like I don't want to drive with missing side skirt. So I left pissed off. I got home and reinspected my car, I noticed my right fender and my front bumper, on one section, it didn't flush. I was more pissed. Around 5, when I was about to pick up my wife I noticed while driving on the road my low beam doesn't work or I'm seeing something weird. I got to my wife work place and asked her if she sees my low beam on and she said no. Now I'm really pissed off. Call the shop around 5:15 and bill told them my situation. Bill gave me kieth personal number. I called Keith and told him my situation. He told me to come in tomorrow so they can look at it, but I told them I got work at 7am and I need my car. Keith couldn't do anything more other than me bringing it there. I drove home with no headlight than my fog light and opened the hood. I noticed the low beam relay was unplugged. I text kieth that I fixed it. I only gave this shop a 2 star because customer service is great. Other than that I look somewhere else. I also reported this headache to USAA. read more

i've had two of my cars in here for auto body repairs and both times, Auto Collision has done an absolute perfect job on both cars. everything was done clean, and on one of the cars, they matched the hard to find color and even the pinstriping. everyone who saw my cars afterwards, couldn't believe how good it looked after it came out of Auto Collision. Update: Kieth from the body Wooooow, after I wrote this review Keith called me and left a voice mail saying, "I need to remove my review otherwise he will have a serious issue with me" he repeated this line like-4-5 times ...wow. I have to listen to this voice mail numerous time .I can't believe he did threating me for leaving review about his terrible service. I called the police, filed a claim and I'm starting a law suit against this body shop for the service he provided and threatening me for leaving review on line, poor guy he did not realized when he left the voice mail, it is something recorded on the phone automatically, I called him back and Advised him, if he has a problem with my review he should take it to court but if he called me one more time threating me I will call the police and have him arrested right away. I had a full insurance since I start driving ,paying my insurance company lots of money every month so whenever I have an issue I like to be hassle free, I took my car to have the front bomber fixed .I was very clear when I talked to Keith about fixing my car. I did not want to have any supervises and want to make sure everything will be clear and efficient from the begging. Unfortunally this shop was recommended to me by my insurance company since I live close by. too my car to the shop to fix the bomber as it was coming out of it is place .was giving almost 3 k estimate for repairs which was really high, but I did not mind hoping it will a quality work. Explained to Keith everything I know about my car and that it hold a salvage title due to an accident 6 years ago. I purchase it two years ago and the car was running perfect for the last 6 years including two years since I purchase it, according to Car fax. He gave a general idea about what needs to be fixed and since the car was in aperiouve accident, there might be some additional repairs and it should be ready within 3 -5 days. He calls me later to let me know that there is an addition damage need to be fixed and someone from the insurance company will come to take a look at it. Said sure that is fine. next he calls me and say they came in and I'm all set and car should be ready within a few days.?????.But he does not tell me exactly what happen till I asked a question and one leads to another to find out that my insurance company decided to cxl half of the repairs. I was very upset that he was not clear and trying to hide these facts. I learned that I can't trust that guy; He is very sweet talking, trying not to give any details and just keep assuring you everything is fine. After That I start asking so many questions and try to get as much details about what needs to be done. He simply told that insurance company trying to play cheap and not to pay for lots of repairs even he think it is related to the current accident not the old one. Now I go and talk to the insurance company, they go back and talk to him and he changes his story that he might have made a mistake and some things could be related to the old accident. I was really upset with both him and insurance company so I decide it is better to take the car to another shop, have another opening .so I was told I have to pay him 250$ if I decided to cxl the repairs even though nothing was done to the car at this point. Long story short they ended up fixing up what the insurance and they body shop decided to fix. I picked up my car, took it to 2 other body shop the same day, both stated that the repairs was very poorly done, the car needed more repairs that is related to the current accident, they told me with the way these repairs was made the bombers will come out of its place within a few month . The parts that was ordered are very cheap off market, all plastic made even though I was charged 2K at that point. I was very surprised to see the bumper starts to become lose little by little, before a week it was just like the old one .I took it to the shop and now he tells me .in order to fix it he has to charge me more money. He tries to blame it on a 6 years old accident .what was the point of me paying him 2K to have a bomber fixed that did not last a week . read more

I love the family-run atmosphere here. Most of the staff are related, which makes me feel good to support a family-run business. Everyone is *amazingly* friendly and super receptive to phone calls. . The service they provided was great. I banged up my car on a concrete pole (yes, driving before coffee is BAD) They made my poor little car as good as new. Super fast with the estimates, and they were great about working with me when it took me awhile before I got the insurance approval to start the work. . They're great about doing any BART drop offs or pickups. They also have a website that lets you track the progress of your car (they take pictures each morning and upload them). . The only complaints I have are about how long it took. (otherwise it would be 5 stars) I think their original time estimate changed because it took me about a week and a half before I got the insurance approval and they got new customers in the meantime. But, they didn't mention the extra time it would take. I wound up having to rent a car for a second weekend, when I'd only budgeted to rent it for one. :( read more

It could've just been my luck, as with every buisness there's always good and bad depending on every situation- afterall, we are all human and mistakes happen. I took my 2015 Accord in to get fixed after being sideswiped to where my driver side mirror and door were damaged. When I picked it up, it looked as good as new. I'm very satisfied with that part of the repair. However, when I was driving my (aftermarket) headlights went out. As it turns out it was not placed in correctly and burned through the headlight housing. I called them and they ordered a new headlight assembly and installed it right in the next week. Another issue was that there was a gasket that was missing causing wind noise in the cabin; which they explained that it was not sent to them with the parts. Understandable, so they pulled the gasket out of one of their own Hondas. Thank you Keith for making that part right on me. The three stars I gave were because of the customer service, which were great. Melissa and Pedro were a pleasure to work with and understanding and Keith tried to make it right on me. What could've been better was communication, as I had to keep following up and while waiting for my headlight to be fixed, nobody had known that the techs went on lunch so I waited forever when instead I could have left and done something else when my car was being worked on. read more

Here is how Auto Collision Center rip people off: You scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Then, you get an estimate about $1,500 at your appointment. The following week, they called to tell you that your car needs more work and now the estimate up $3,500. In addition, they tell you can't take your car somewhere else to get in fix because parts already have been ordered. So, you are locked in to pay no matter what. The third week they tell your car needs even more work and the estimate is now $7,000. This is how they rip people by giving you a reasonable estimate at first and then suck you dry as each week goes by claiming your car has more problems until the point your car isn't even worth to get it fix anymore. read more

The owner of the shop (father of Keith and Mike) and Keith were there to greet me when I picked up the car. They apologized for the incident that happened (apparently, my husband turned on his cellphone speakerphone without telling me and had Mike speak and explain from across the room). I told Keith, next time, just tell Mike to pick up the phone (and Mike's tone was undeniably irate anyway). I also xplained to them that I had already accepted the repair bill as such except for the fact that the towing was not arranged by us. The whole root cause of this argument of the towing service boils down to Farmers. Keith discounted their invoice and they are picking up half of the towing service; which of course, led to the point where Farmers does not have to foot any of the repair bill. No fight, no shouting, the father made sure that everything was worked out. Keith explained all the repairs that were done, etc. I asked Keith to have the insurance claims adjuster call me, since I was not happy with how the towing service was communicated. All is good....I had a very honest and very diplomatic conversation with the shop and with the insurance adjuster. read more

There are very few times in life when you really experience great customer service, and the last place I expected it was at this place AAA referred me to when someone hit our parked car. Right off the bat, Aaron was super nice and took the time to explain the process to me and assured me that my car was in good hands. He kept me updated on the progress of my car and was always very responsive. I accidentally left the headlights on overnight so my rental car's battery died, and Aaron went completely above and beyond and offered to come by and personally jump start my car so I wouldn't have to wait hours for the hertz tow truck.. this saved me time and probably saved me from incurring extra costs for the tow! He even checked in with me the next day to make sure the rental car wasn't giving me any problems. Not only that but the repairs on our car were excellent and our car was returned to us in what seemed like even better shape!! They really took the time to do an excellent job and we felt completely taken care of and informed! A few days ago our parked car got hit again, and I knew exactly who to take our car to!! My only regret is that I have moved out of state and will no longer be able to use there services.
