This review is long overdue! I was referred to this place by my car guy, who swears by their body work. I had a small accident with a runaway garbage bin that scratched and dented up the side of my car. So I made an appointment, and brought my car into Auto Collision Craftsman. At first, I had some trouble finding the location by GPS, and unfortunately, I had to call several times (with no answer and I left a few voicemails), hoping to get directions. I was so discouraged that I actually went to another facility to have my car repaired. As soon as I pulled into the other place, something told me to try one more time to find Auto Collision Craftsman, and Im so glad that I did. Thanks to trusty yelp, I pulled up their location on the map, and realized I kind of knew that area, and was eventually able to find the place by sight. Upon arrival, there was not much space to park, and like most body shops, they were located in business park filled with a bunch of cars and dusty trucks. However, their work definitely speaks for itself. My car was ready in a few days, and it looked fantastic. Their office is small and modest, but tidy with air conditioning. Customer service was fantastic, and Ms. Donna, who handles the paperwork, was so personable and attentive. My insurance company covered the cost of the repairs, so I can't directly speak to the affordability, but my car guy advised me that if I decided not to go with my insurance coverage (pay out of pocket), Auto Collision Craftsmen would not rob me in cost because they give honest and fair pricing. Overall, I highly recommend this place, but beware, their location is in the cut and your gps will fail you. read more

I took my car in to have a seat belt replaced and Ernie noticed there was a puddle of oil when he moved my car...so grateful that he checked the oil! There was nothing showing on the oil dip stick so he checked out the oil plug and voila, it was leaking terribly! Needed 3 quarts of oil! If it weren't for his care, there is a huge probability my engine would have been shot! My daughters were both involved in fender benders that necessitated me bringing in two cars. I have to tell you that ACC did an outstanding job! They showed me how to get my cars repaired for less by me getting parts from a salvage yard (Crazy Ray's in Mount Airy) and then they do all the assembly and painting. It worked out so well. After a huge rock took out a chunk of my grill/bumper, I brought my vehicle here based on a referral from a friend. Turns out to be a great referral. Stopped in without an appointment, and Donna immediately came out and assessed the repair. In no time, she gave me an estimate, and was honest about the labor likely being much less than the suggested labor time/cost. She ordered the part, called me to let me know it was in (only a couple of days later), told me to just stop by, because she thought the piece would snap in, and therefore I wouldn't need an appointment. I stopped in, she came out immediately, and sure enough, the piece snapped in securely, and it was fixed. She only charged me for the part, and wouldn't take any additional money when I offered (after all, fair is fair). The next time I need body/collision work done, I know where to bring it. . . to Auto Collision Craftsman. The whole process was better, quicker, cheaper, and more friendly and professional than I've gotten used to, especially when it comes to something like auto body work.
