Absolutely terrible experience at Biggs Eastside. I brought my Land Rover LR3 in for a wheel alignment because it was pulling to the right and the steering wheel was offset to the left. This should be a straightforward job for a Land Rover specialist. It cost several hundred dollars more than the competition, but I assumed the expertise justified the price. When I got the car back, it was still pulling to the right. I returned the vehicle, expecting them to re-check the alignment. Instead, they swapped the front tires left-to-right and recalibrated the steering angle sensor (SAS). And charged me. Again. Swapping tires to diagnose a pull is questionable enough since it did not solve the issue, but recalibrating the SAS was completely pointless! The SAS has zero influence on physical steering geometry and cannot correct an alignment issue. I'm not sure how a Land Rover specialist does not know that. Unsurprisingly, the vehicle still pulled right. I replaced the tires, and the pull remained. Since they had charged me twice without fixing the issue, I requested a warranty alignment -- the alignment they should have performed when I brought the car back. The manager, Angela refused. When I picked up the car the second time, the tech even said that "I might need a warranty alignment if new tires did not solve the issue". The manager even claimed that the shop that replaced my tires (Discount Tire) was negligent because, she told me "wheel alignment is always done with every new set of tires". This is simply incorrect. Most tire stores don't even have an alignment rack. Further, they don't have the equipment or knowledge to place the land rover into a special (tight tolerance) mode needed for proper wheel alignment. What a waste of money. Take caution: they do not stand behind their work, and worse: they do not understand the mechanical systems of the Land Rover platform. read more

We used to take our Range Rover to Land Rover of Bellevue. No matter the problem, they always found "something else", and we always left $5,000-6,000 poorer. This happened over and over and over again. We finally got sick of it and went to Bigg's on a recommendation. Thank goodness!! Bigg's will only fix what's broken, nothing else. I called Biggs for my Land Rover 2 to repair a radiator leak, oil change, brakes, rear hood latch, and rear hatch break light. They were able to take my LR2 within 3 days, which is unheard of...dealers are booked out months in advance. I spoke to Angela and she was very professional, accommodating with scheduling and dropoff, and kept me up-to-date on the repairs with timelines and cost which was very seamless and spot on. I got my LR2 back within a week. This is again unheard of if I went to a dealer. Folks that work here are amazing, honest, and super fast! I brought my '08 LR2 in due to a coolant leak and occasional oil smell (possible leak). Not many shops in the area want to work on Land Rovers, and those that do will only take such a job reluctantly when they have a slow period. Otherwise most shops flat out refuse it, which is a shame because ours is just a Volvo XC90 under the hood. So it was very good to find a shop that specializes in Land Rovers exclusively! I wish I knew about Biggs sooner, because my experience here has been truly the best out of any auto repair shop I have ever been to. Granted, my expectations were that it would be expensive (because LRs are not cheap to service by default and labor is expensive these days) and that it would take a while (because parts sometimes have to ship from overseas), so I came in expecting a pretty hefty bill and a few weeks wait time. What happened was the complete opposite and a huge pleasant surprise! I dropped the car off on Monday, and by Tuesday they have looked it over and identified three areas where the fluids were leaking so I was given all the details and estimate over the phone. Rather than replacing working but leaky parts, they offered to clean them up and replace the seals / gaskets. This work was fairly substantial, requiring the removal of the intake manifold. I was given a very reasonable and fair quote for the work, and was told that the car would be ready by Friday which again sounded super fast. Well, Thursday morning I get a text letting me know our LR is ready to go! So not only did the repair end up being less expensive than I expected, but it was done in record time of just 3 days from dropping the car off to picking it up!! And trust me, they are busy - the parking lot is full of Rovers and I couldn't even find a parking spot when dropping the car off. Yet, it felt like our car was their top priority. Pros: - Professional, polite, timely, perhaps 3/4 (or 2/3?) the cost of a LR dealer, and clearly experts on Land Rover models and needs. I'd love to give 5 stars to this outfit, but they're not proactive enough for my liking. For example, not offering to replace the spark leads during a recent ($3K+) head gasket job. I'd have gladly paid the approx. $100 for good new leads vs. greater than $700 to pull the plenum/inlet manifold to do the job (and another day of vehicle down-time). Made me feel at best that they are not pro-active, and at worst waiting for me to come back for the more costly job in the future. I've also been disappointed in the recent past: - not greasing the front propshaft U/J during a service. Front prop U/Js fail due to close proximity to the catalyst, and when they have a grease fitting then it's just common sense to do the job...takes about a minute. What worries me the most is that if that job is not done then what else is not done that I can't possibly find? - Aluminum top engine components dirty from oily hands after jobs. My vehicle is far from pristine, but coming back like this was disappointing and frankly a bit disrespectful. read more

74,000 miles and the Disco II needed a serpentine belt. You know, that snake thing that when stretched out reaches from here to the moon. Just looking at it gave me the heebie-jeebies. Called Biggs and they said "Save the $80, and do it yourself." So that's exactly what I did. And in only 16 minutes! I timed it. The hard part was finding a shop that carried the belt. Both British Auto Center in West Seattle and NAPA on Aurora carried it. I saved $50.00, it was fun, and not too challenging. I have been taking my Disco there ever since and have been blown away by the service and the confidence that Jim and his team give me that the work that's being done will be done right and at a fair price (it's still expensive - it's a Land Rover of course). I have a 2004 Range Rover that just stopped starting. My current manager suggested taking it to Biggs and gave me Jen's number. She was so nice and accommodating, Bruce was also extremely helpful and kept us very informed as to the status of our vehicle. As others have stated, Land Rover repair is never inexpensive, but Jen and Bruce cut us a huge break and we appreciated their willingness to help us. Turns our we needed a steering column, they worked hard to find a good used unit and had it in quickly. Car RUNS GREAT. The car was in perfect condition when it was returned to me, this in itself is a sheer miracle. I cannot tell you how many times I have taken my cars to the dealer or other shops and had things missing, scratches or worse. Biggs was TERRIFIC. I would highly recommend anyone with a Land Rover to try them, I guarantee you will be more than satisfied. I have had my 2004 Discovery 2 for 10 years, and the first 5 years of its life, I took into the Bellevue LR and had it serviced there, then through the Cascade LR Club, I found Biggs, and have used Biggs for the past 5 years. They have been great to work with. I have had a number of items break down - typical of this LR series, thank goodness for factory warranties, and Biggs repaired them all with great communication of down time and price. I would give them 5 stars, but about a year or so ago, I had a leak in what I thought was the sunroof, which Biggs could not find, turns out it was not only in the sunroof, but everywhere! The drains were clogged completely. I ended up taking it to the Jimmy's Upholstery, due to the fabric on the ceiling coming unglued from the leaks, and they were able to flush out the drains, reseal, and change the fabric - making it look brand new. I will still use Biggs for the upkeep of the mechanical, they are great at keeping it running smoothly, and the price is reasonable. read more

I don't like writing reviews on bad service, but I was so annoyed by our last visit to Biggs that I just had to. We've used Biggs before and were happy with the service up until recently, that's why they're getting 2 stars instead of 1. Our LR went in for its 6 month service in relatively good condition with just the basic everyday stuff needed doing. We were aware of a error message relating to our compressors, but had been told that the compressors would eventually go, but for now were still functioning, but the suspension was stuck on 'normal level' only. This was fine for us as we don't use the other settings anyway. After our car was serviced we were give back our LR with completely shot compressors. The LR was now sitting low over the wheels with no suspension at all. They gave us a knackered car and a hefty quote for fixing the problem, but never mentioned that the problem had occurred in their hands. When we went back to them to question what on earth had happened to make the suspension go completely we were told that after investigating what had happened, they were now aware that the problem had occurred while their mechanics had been working on it, but they took no ownership of the problem what-so-ever. We popped our car in for a general service and got back an undrivable vehicle. We knew the problem was there and would eventually go, but never thought it would happen in the care of a mechanic and that they would fail to report it had happened at all. We asked if they would reduce the price in some way, maybe reduce the labor costs to help us get the car back working again, but they refused. I can't believe a company with a good reputation would not try to appease a good returning customer and in good faith, meet us part of the way (even a small way) in remedying the situation. We took our broken down LR and business to another Landrover Servicing center. We got raised eyebrows over what had happened to us at Biggs, much better customer service, and a cheaper price. We will not be returning to Biggs...ever. read more

Our 2005 LR3 flashed us a suspension fault message which also instructed us not to drive over 30 mph. That gets your attention mighty quick! AA Auto Service Center in Redmond (also a 5 star shop) suggested Biggs. We took their advice. The problem was a fried suspension compressor which damaged a couple of nearby parts during its' burnout. Two days later, our LR was repaired and ready to go at a decent price. The entire experience was forthright, pleasant and honest. We'll return to Biggs in the future. I got a new to me LR3 which came with a number of known issues, as well as unknown ones. Not knowing any better I had some repairs done at the dealer, which nearly bankrupted me. Then I discovered this gem which is Biggs Eastside. Getting the LR3 serviced certainly isn't as cheap as my old Toyota Tundra, but the cost at Biggs is easily 1/2 that of the dealer. Jen and her crew have been flexible in working with my schedule and emergency issues at times, and have always given me a no BS assessment of upcoming services, how long I can let them slide, or whether or not I even need to do them at all. Service is quick and on-time and they stand behind their work and parts. If you have a Land Rover that's outside of its factory warranty, run as fast as you can from the dealer and bring it here. read more

Not Happy at all with biggs services. No communication or a minimum on the repairs, I even doubt they did the job. Simple battery pb not checked properly, but fixed for 2 days, I had to call AAA repair services for doing the right and complete diagnosis. They even dare to say based on the diagnosis that the alternator needed to be changed without even seeing the car !!! I am very surprised of the good rating others are giving, must be another biggs eastside automotive or something like that ? We had Biggs swap us to less-dusty brake pads on our 2016 LR4. They also install a pedal cover kit which wasn't really designed to work with the LR4, but they persisted and got it installed. First let me say this was my first experience with Biggs Automotive. Prices are reasonable--not the outrageous dealership prices. I went in to have the water pump replaced on my Range Rover. Set up an appointment, and it was finished the next day. Great! But what really sealed (pun intended) the deal...The pump gasket failed after a month. No, it wasn't fun to be stranded, but the failure wasn't due to the installation. I called and talked to Jennifer and she said bring it in and they'll fix it under warranty. I recently purchased a 2006 LR3 with 65,000 miles on it. Three weeks ago a suspension fault light came on, and unknowingly my wife took it in to the dealership where they proceeded to try and hustle her for $6,000 dollars!!! In their diagnostic test they listed everything but the TRUE problem... needless to say I was sick over hearing this. Disgusted by the shadiness of the dealership and how they treated my wife and I, I asked a friend who also owns a Land Rover, where he takes his. He recommended Biggs, so I took my rig in hoping to hear some honesty and integrity, In which I wasn't disappointed. They were friendly, and after running their own inspection found the issue to be a faulty height sensor which was ultimately causing my problems. Now keep in mind they knew that the dealership was going to charge me between $1,300 - $6,000 to fix an air compressor, etc.,etc. And yet the crew at Biggs fixed my TRUE problem for $248.98!!!!! I could not be happier with Biggs honesty, integrity, efficiency and business ethics. In short if you own a Land/Range Rover you would be foolish to take it anywhere else. read more

I have a 2003 Range Rover MKIII with the BMW 4.4 engine. If you know anything about this car, you know it can be a bit high maintenance.
