When I returned to Auto ER, they failed to resolve the issue, leaving me with a serious mechanical problem that they refused to take accountability for. After spending $2,750 at another repair shop, it was confirmed that Auto ER's technician failed to properly reinstall the O-ring in my oil filter housing, leaving a piece of the O-ring lodged inside my engine and causing severe oil flow issues. Despite being presented with proof of their negligence, Auto ER failed to respond by the deadline I provided, despite confirming the issue had been escalated to corporate. I thought my Kia dealer in Northern VA where I have been getting all my services done were not too bad but recently they told me that my brake pads only had 4mm left and gave a yellow rating. In addition to brake pad service (possibly new brake pads), they also recommended a brake fluid drain and flush and their quotes were eye-watering. I just moved to Gainesville, FL and put on another 10K miles without getting any work done after that check-up and thought I took some serious risks with the brakes but got away with it. Right after completing my move, I visited the AutoER shop on Archer road and Kevin agreed to provide a free inspection and estimates for any necessary work plus maybe an oil change (my Kia manual recommends a full synthetic oil change every 7,500 miles or 1 year). Imagine my surprise when after a THOROUGH inspection (again, not costing me a penny, with photos of the brakes, engine oil, brake fluid and more to boot), he told (and showed) me that everything was in great shape - except the engine air filter and the cabin air filter - and he showed me photographs of the dirty filters. I went here in June of 2022 for a brake job on a 1997 Chevy 1500 wheel chair van. I bought it when a wheelchair became a necessity after I lost my leg to diabetes and an infection that didn't stop until they removed my left lower leg. So when the brakes were obviously in need of replacement they agreed to do it for $3,000+. I just paid the amount hoping for a good job. Not so! I had the brakes repaired in June, of 2022; and by February of 2023 as I was going to do my volunteer work as a nurse practitioner at the homeless shelter here in Gainesville. In due course after two and a half hours the job was finished. I was told the brand of synthetic oil they installed was "Almond". They knew I was coming with my audi, yet did not have the drain plug for the job, and they used an off-brand synthetic oil I do not trust. I thought I had a battery issue since my car was dying - it turns out it was my push-to-start key having an issue communicating with part of the my car's internal computer that was leaving a part on after shutoff and that was draining battery. They explained this to me and confirmed that my battery passed the test twice and was in good shape. Have recommended my friends and will continue to do so. I came to them few months ago (mid august 2024) with my Toyota 2011 Prius. My car had an engine light on. The FIXD app I have pulled the codes that I already knew what it meant and told the workers there. I even told the workers that the 2011 prius is well known for head gasket issues at approx 150k-200k miles and I was at 189k miles. They wouldn't listen and said oh it's just needing tune ups and change spark plugs. I said ok let's see. Sure enough, they changed spark plugs and it was still throwing same codes with engine lights but somehow the engine light turned off so they wouldnt have to look into the head gasket. I left the car behind for few months as I went to California. I decided recently to go ahead and flew back to Florida to pick up my car so I can either trade it in or drive it back to California. Trade in was a no go due to other issues but not related to the car. So we (my husband and I) drove the car all the way back to California with no problems which was a relief even with the engine check light codes that was still popping up on my app but not on my dash lights. By the time we got to California. The engine check light finally popped up on my dash lights. I took the car to a professional hybrid shop. Sure damn enough I was right! Head gasket misfiring cylinder 1 and 4 (camera showed no carbon inside it at all) and water pump were both out. Auto ER charged me over $1,600 for basic tune up and knowing what was wrong with it but denied knowing that it was the head gasket was the issue. Now I have to come up with a little over 2300 for head gasket and water pump. Stay away from this shady business. I should have known right away when I saw one of the worker they had from Midas which screwed up my car's oil pan in the first place a while ago. If you have any hybrid cars- take it to professional hybrid shops or your dealership that is well known with hybrids. Do not take your car here. Do not spend your money here. Go somewhere else. Adding this part- the codes were showing misfiring cylinder 1 and 4. I have asked the worker right before I left to California (before I flew back to Florida to pick up my car) to please check the head gasket and EGR. They said they "did" and found nothing was wrong with it. And to reply Micheal back, it was running fine on long drive but when stopping at each light, it shook. I tried telling your worker that. So yeah I chanced it driving to California by keeping check with coolant being full and oil. It was fine. The shop I took it to in California was surprised how the car didn't break down on us driving back. They said I was lucky that no other damage was done. They also said that you guys should have looked into the head gasket while changing spark plugs. That would have been easier on you guys knowing right away if you guys looked into it. They even showed me by taking spark plugs out then using one of their camera to look into the head gasket and immediately saw the issues. You and your workers couldn't do that! It takes just 5 minutes to look into it but no you guys just wanted money. Such a damn greedy world we all live in. You guys knew Im on a limited income. I also see it this way. I'm a woman (which you guys think I don't know much about cars which is a typical stereotype on majority of women) and I'm also deaf ( aha! A nice way to manipulate a deaf person by taking advantage of their disability by thinking she's deaf and she might be stupid too as well) So you guys saw me as a minority and easily taken advantage of. You guys were wrong. In good hopes and giving you guys another chance, I did come back to you guys before I left to California in sept to have you guys to look at it and you guys still came back acting like nothing was wrong with the car thinking I'm dumb enough. When I flew back in Nov, my ex was using my car and said no engine check light popped up but still ran the same codes on the app. So yeah I chanced it and took it to California. It wasn't 100% blown but by the time I got there. Few more drives in- it would have been 100% blown if I didn't take it in. The water pump started acting up when I got to California. The coolant stayed full majority of the time until water pump went out then that's when coolant started to empty out quickly. Trust me, I knew it was the head gasket when I got to your shop and I've told you and your workers that. My son's vehicle was leaking power steering fluid. They charged $70 for a diagnostic fee, that's fine but get it right. They text you pictures and say things are wrong but don't include the price for repairs. We had to call on the phone and they said the cost for AutoER repair was approximately $3,000. I brought the vehicle home to our normal mechanic to get it fixed and it was just the power steering hose. Total cost $206.40. It's a shame if they think everyone can afford to be taken advantage of. Fuel Induction Service. $259 Brake Fluid system flush $269 total. Then a cooling system flush $213. I am away at college and didn't see another choice but to pay that much for the spark plugs. I did the fuel induction service too. I did need an oil change so I added that on $40. Now that i'm home, my mom and I took my car to our car shop (family relations here) and they told me I was completely scammed. That there's no need for any of the extra items on a 2019 car, and that I was severely overcharged for spark plugs (I knew this one). If you have a choice, just got elsewhere. My daughter brought in her car because brake lights were out. Auto ER charged a $75 diagnostic fee and then gave her an estimate for $150.00 to change the bulbs. They also "mentioned" several other high ticket "issues", not brake lights related, she might want to pay them to fix. When she asked if they had checked fuses and other potential electrical causes for the brake lights issue, they said no, and said it would cost another $75 to do that. Ack! Needless to say, my daughter left Auto ER immediately, went to the Auto Parts store and bought two bulbs for $15, watched a YouTube, and installed them herself. Proud of her! In my 5 decades of living, I've rarely ever had to pay any diagnosis fee to an auto shop, and when I did, the provider always went above and beyond. On the way to work my low tire pressure light came on. I pulled into the Wawa on Archer road assuming the colder weather was causing the issue and found my tire nearly deflated. My daughter, a student at UF, brought her car to Auto ER for a check engine light. I pretty much knew what the problem was and could have fixed it myself, but since I am 400 miles away, that wasn't feasible. They charged a $75.00 diagnostic fee which we were fine with. Then they gave us an estimate for $687.00 to replace a couple of parts of which one of the parts was already part of the unit they were going to replace. When I questioned the estimate, they were very hesitant to give me the part numbers they were going to use, but eventually gave me the part number. I crossed referenced the and when I looked up the part number, a genuine OEM part cost approximately $100 to $120. When I called back, I said I have no problem with $219 in labor including the diagnostic, there was no way I was going to let my daughter pay $469 for a $120 part. So my daughter took it to another repair shop and her total bill with diagnostic fee was a total of $250.00; that's $437 less than what they were going to charge my daughter. By the way, check engine is now off and the car idles and runs smoothly. So in short, if you have a college student that is attending UF without a silver spoon in their mouth and living off student loans, DO NOT go here because they will overcharge college students, especially females! read more

Not straight up with quotes when asked about how much they charge for maintenance services, like transmission fluid change, brake fluid flush etc. They said they can't quote before looking at the car. They fixed my car up and didn't try to nickel and dime me for anything I didn't need. The service was prompt and the staff were helpful. I left my car for an oil change once and forgot to leave them my keys. They came to me and got my keys. They weren't even upset. So sweet of them. Most recent, I waited while they did an oil change. I was studying so I didn't notice that about an hour and 10, or maybe 15 minutes had passed. They felt bad and said the oil change was on them. I highly recommend this place. read more

I was hoping to avoid Car issues this year, but a pick-up truck that was illegally raised extremely high decide to climb on my little Volkswagon EOS because the driver didn't see me. Exterior damage to the trunk and bumper left my unable to use open the trunk. This scared me because this is a hard top convertible that needs the trunk to lift and work perfectly. I want to start this review out by saying that I had a very pleasant experience with the staff, and they had a relatively quick turnaround time with my vehicle. Front waiting room is comfortable, has snacks and coffee available. I brought my car here to have the alternator replaced. They gave me a fair price for a refurbished alternator and had it done within a solid timeframe. As soon as I returned home, my battery light came on again. I had my primary mechanic take a look at my car and was informed that the alternator was not properly installed. Not long after, my headlights began flashing and my battery light came on again, and I was informed that my alternator would need another replacement. In fairness to the replacement issue, refurbished alternators sometimes are duds and it requires a replacement or two to find one that works consistently. I initially brought my vehicle here because of the positive reviews on social media, however after my experience I don't think I'll be bringing my car here again. read more

I brought my car in and said "the air compressor is shot and the belt is locked up, I need it replaced." $100 diagnosis for them to tell me the air compressor is shot and the belt is locked up. $3400 to get my work done here, Ahrens auto offered to get it done for 1900 and Terrys auto did it for 1600. I would recommend either of these auto mechanics, auto ER is horrific. Their 5 star reviews are probably mostly fake and their ringtone sucks. read more

Really Good and affordable service. I went in for an oil change and they did a free diagnostic test on my car. The place was very clean. There were coffee and snack available while waiting. Also they had WiFi so I was doing an assignment while I was waiting for my oil change. At the end they provided me with a report of what has been done on my car and other things that my car needed. I needed to change one of my tires, they asked me for $106.00. I felt like I could get a better price so changed my tire somewhere else. Also they wanted me to change something called timing belt because it wasn't reported that it has been done on my car on CARFAX. Since it would cost me $600 I got a second opinion; it turns out that based on the mileage on my car, it would have broken if it wasn't done. I have a few thousands miles to go before I get it done.
