I was never a fan of having a "guy"'as in a "suit guy" a "watch guy" a "wine/liquor" guy etc…read more Reason? Because I was always afraid that being a "one guy, guy" would limit me in terms of options etc...and I've always fancied myself as someone who likes knowing everything before choosing anything. The only exception to my self-imposed rule is when it comes to cars. Over the last 25+ years of family cars (as in leases, pre-owned purchases and bodywork/repairs) I thank the good lord for infesting my brain with enough common sense to admit we need a "car guy" and that no matter how we looked at it, we couldn't do better than Allstate. Why? Well for starters, they've talked me & the mrs OUT of cars when most would've gone for the easy close...especially when our other choices were less expensive and less profitable. The reason? Because they know their cars AND their customers and knew that on occasion, putting someone with our vehicular idiosyncrasies into the car of our choice would mean we'd spend the bulk of our lease looking to get out of it. Believe it or not, that's what you want from a car guy--the confidence that comes from knowing that it's ok to make your car related quests and questions "his problem" because you know that by doing so, it'll never actually turn INTO a problem. Remember they're in car leasing which means they're essentially offering the same deals as everyone else...what puts them miles ahead of everyone else is their integrity and the value-add of doing it all...which is my way of saying thank god for their collision shop Gratitude like that is almost inevitable when the DMV decides your 5 sons are roadworthy even tho they refuse to put away their laundry in baskets or remember to turn off the lights in rooms they're no longer inhabiting. Or to put it another way they've had their share of fender benders, T-bones, Deer-driven demolitions etc. As a parent my philosophy always was cars can be fixed way easier than kids, so as long as our boys emerged unscathed (probably because Allstate wouldn't allow me to get them anything close to the cool compacts/subcompacts their friends had)...I was ok making sure they knew to have AllState on their speed dial. In any case--and even when it meant covering part of the rental on their own as fixing it properly was talking longer than Geico allotted for...every car left their body shop looking and driving better than it did before the accident that got it there. Honest, ethical, flawless quality...these are just some of the reasons Allstate is my family's "car guy"...and you can't have him...

I have been looking for a particular car recently…read moreand the only way to get it, (a 24 model) was to actually deal with dealers that don't work with brokers. There's a reason why I stopped dealing with "stealerships". I called Lenny Komsky and asked for advice. Not only did he take the time to try and get the car but when he was met with pushback(from the dealerships) he gave me the info needed to try and get the car I wanted from an out of state dealer. After calling a few dealers and giving them the numbers that Lenny told me the car should be selling at(much lower than what the dealers wanted), I finally got a dealer to call me back and agree to what Lenny told me the car should be at. The dealer than proceeded to send me the paperwork which Lenny asked for me to send to him to double check everything. Even though they made nothing on the deal, the Grand Prix team made sure I got the best possible deal and made sure everything was in order. I was even able to get the car delivered to my front door from a dealer close to 800 miles away for no extra charge. Again all tanks to Lenny and his team. I really don't know how to thank them for this. On top of all that, Lenny was able to get me out of my current Lease 8 months earlier so I can get the car I've been looking into. Mind you some dealers quoted me 800 dollars a month more than what I ended up paying for the same car.

There was absolutely no sales double talk, she was consistent throughout the entire buying process, and it was a same day purchase. She had everything moving rapidly, she worked very hard to earn these 5 stars, for sure. A great young lady with the most excellent personality unlike any car salesperson I've met before, and I've bought a lot of cars in the last 50 years. Her patience was above and beyond. Let me add that unlike others in this business, she knew her products. I couldn't stump her, not that I was trying, but she satisfied all of our concerns. To finalize our deal, she called on her manager Brandon. Now there's quite a gentleman. There was none of that "where would you like to be at monthly", or "what works best for you?". There was no script. He did something most managers in dealerships never do, he listened to us, and just a few minutes later, we made a deal. Shocking, I know. This dealership has a great model, a model that other dealerships could learn a lot from and most especially, treating clients with concern, and respect and giving them 100% of their attention when they are speaking with you. At the end it was time to meet the "devil", the finance manager! Well, once again, we were surprised. Kazim, like Brandon and Gabriella was friendly and got our paperwork done with no gimmicks, hidden fees, or any other games finance plays when you sit down. The process was seamless. Of course, he recommended something I would advise anyone to add to their purchase, and that's tire and wheel protection, unfortunately I declined because I hadn't used it on my last purchase, in hindsight, maybe I should have taken it. But again, there was no pressure sales from Kazim, no pushing, just good advice. I have to say that we were very happy with the price we were given, it was more than fair, but it is not the only reason that I would return to this dealership, it was just part of the entire package. DON'T GO TO ACURA OF BAY SHORE!!!!…read more Customer Service is very poor in the service departmen at Acura of Bay Shore . When I asked to speak to a manager, because of a couple of ongoing problems with my vehicle, I was taken to the manager's office. The manger stood up with hands on his hips and was rude with an instant attitude. He was a very big tall man and tried to intimidate me with his stature. . Nothing was resolved. Till this day I'm still having the same issues with my vehicle: 1LOUD NOISE IN FRONT OF CAR 2. CANNOT CONNECT DEVICE TO PLAY MUSIC 3. EVERYDAY OR EVERY OTHER DAY TIRE PRESSURE IS LOW. Acura told me my rotors needed to be replaced. (They said this after I took my vehicle there several times) for the same noise. The first time I told Acura of Bayshore about the issue, they claimed they did not hear anything. Now all of a sudden it's my rotors. I went to another dealer and an outside mechanic and both said nothing was wrong with brakes tires or rotors. Acura of Bayshore have been running me around for almost a year and they're -not even trying to fix the loud noise that's coming from my car or any other issues pertaining to my SUV. I still have my warranty and they are not honoring it. Acura of Bay Shore appears to be very shady and unprofessional, and I still need my vehicle fixed. I purchased my car there almost a year ago and they think they can tell me anything and send me on my way. I spent money on tire warranty and warranties for my vehicle. They look for issues that I have to spend money on. Even then I don't belive them. Make it make sense
