It turned out to be a cooling fan failure and was repaired quickly. The other parts of the system were checked and were OK. Very courteous and efficient. I asked my wife to come by this place and get an inspection done since we live fairly close. The inspection guy told my wife that she needed to change the oil because whoever did the oil change had given us 3 quartz over what the car needs. He also mentioned to her that her front brakes and rotos were bad and went ahead a quoted her $550 for front brakes and rotors. We did the brakes and rotors on her cars last December through Nissan dealership and she e had just done a new oil change earlier this week. This place is full of scammers trying to rob people. Gas is same price cash or credit and usually the best price compared to the surround stations. Station is very clean and maintained well. Small servicing garage for basic services. My car couldn't start and took it here to have it serviced after towing, and although they couldn't fix it, they were honest to recommended me to go to the official car mechanic due. They did not take any fee despite me offering for atleast trying to fix it; honest mechanics are hard to come by and any other place could've ripped you off and say some BS to get your money. My car battery system light came on and I came here to let them take a look took the mechanic 30 seconds to check my voltage and said my alternator is dead my car has warranty so I told them I would take it to the dealer for free repair they charge me 20$ to check my voltage which is a little much for 30 second of work but ok I get it it's a business all of a sudden my car can't drive anymore cus the battery is dead so I ask if they can use the portable battery to drive my car home which is less than half block away so I can wait for the tow truck there manager say no I tell him it's literally half a block he goes fine but it will cost 40$ seriously way to scam your customers when the mechanic drove my car back I ask why u charge me 40$ to go half a block he tells me the manager say that I wouldn't have charge anything just goes to show you what a scammer the manager is such a shame cus I got my 2 car service here and now they just lost a customer hope you all happy with the 60$ you make for a 2 minute job scammer! read more

I normally dont write review but today i had enough. Ive been trying to get a inspection for the last 3 weeks. Every time i go back ive been getting one excuses after another. "Sorry dont have any inspection sticker ", " we're busy" and today was the kicker. They dont do inspection after 4pm. I explained in the pass that it shouldnt take long because their no issues with the car. I think that was a mistake on my part. It feels they dont want to perform the inspection because they couldnt make any $ off of me. I'll give you the same advice the manager gave me, after i told him hes full of it. Last week we drove 8 hours down from Montreal Canada our 2001 BMW front left axel loosened & broke apart just as we arrived at our destination at 10pm! Stressed out & exhausted with a car full of luggage we called my sister who immediately told us to have the car towed to her Mechanics at Nor Marathon. The BP gas station that was part of Nor Marathon took us in that evening and ensured our car would be safe in their lot till the garage opened the next day. Promtly at 7am the next morning we met the manager Aman and he was quick to address our breakdown. They were able to assess exactly the condition, the parts needed (very fair prices) and cost to get us safely back on the road. Upon inspecting further they also found a leak in our oil filter housing and replaced our radiator hoses. We were aware that these issues were outstanding but figured we would address when we returned back to Canada. Because of this we know that Aman very honest, exact, and completely fair! He and his team worked quickly to get us back on the road within that day! By 6pm we were ready to go! We are certain the amount of work he did for us would have taken longer and cost more in our city. Aman mission statement is true to his words. They know how costly it is to maintain a car. We owe a debt of gratitude Aman and his mechanics! ----------- One week since the repair: This is a update to the last review. After our car was repaired we drove to Long Island City to park our car for the balance of our vacation. We left our car parked for a few days in the feeling cold weather and upon leaving for our 8 hour return to Montreal we discovered the our 2 year old car battery had died due to a faulty light on the display screen. We call AAA and they boosted our car and thought it would be best to drive it to restore the battery. While driving we called back Nor Marathon to tell them of what happened as we were headed towards Douglaston. Aman the manager was not in but Mohammed answered and remembered us and told us to come in to have them take a look at the car. They took us without appointment (On Super Bowl Sunday!) and after checking our battery said that we may need a new one but before we we make this additional investment Mohammed said let super charge the battery for 20 minutes to be sure. After the 20 minutes he told us the battery was keeping the charge and we would not need to purchase the new battery! WHAT??? We didn't even need to pay for the boost! We cannot say enough good things about how honest and professional this garage is! They could have sold us a new Battery but instead Mohammed told us we should be okay and when we return to Montreal to take the battery back to the place we bought it for their guarantee. We made it back to Montreal Canada and we really have Aman & Mohammed from Nor Marathon to thank for this! We wish we had this garage in Montreal! read more

I went to this shop a couple of times for emergencies while on my way to work but I think I am going to use their services for all my car needs. These guys take are of you in no time, do a great job with your car and the price you pay is very affordable. I went there with the punctured tire this morning. They took care of it in minutes, they treat my car like it's their own so I don't have to worry about that problem again. The people running the business are very friendly, the shop is spotless clean and there are a handful of convenience stores across the street to grab a nice cup of coffee or a bite while you wait. Above that, I know car is in good hands and will be taken care of promptly. For me, a mechanic is like a doctor. You hope you don't need them outside of routine checkups, but when you do need them, they better be good and trustworthy. Nor Marathon looks like that place for me. read more

I first went to this service station when I moved to the area in 2001 due to the convenience of being able to drop off my car and walk home, not to mention they're open 7DAYS A WEEK 7AM-7PM! Not only were they fast, honest and gave me more than generous discounts, their work was always on point! I moved to Hicksville for a year, came back for another 12 then left again in 2016, all the while choosing them exclusively to service my vehicles because another mechanic this awesome would be hard to find, if not impossible, especially one open until 7PM 7 DAYS A WEEK! A couple examples of them going above and beyond to help me: - When my transmission crapped out, instead of accepting a nice chunk of change for the repair, they said it wasn't work saving and I should get a new car instead. - My car has an issue with its computer resetting that causes it to fail inspections sometimes. Knowing it is an ongoing issue, they are totally cool about it and won't charge me to get it reinspected. A few years ago they even drove it around for me to reset the computer because it failed the second attempt. I'll actually be going there today for my oil change, and stumbled upon their yelp after googling them. I never review anything, so believe me, they must be good if I actually posted one. lol. Edit: Oh Snap it says now they close at 6pm according to their yelp. Boo! Still great availability though. lol. read more
