After having one of the worst weeks ever, someone broke into my car while I was at the gym on a Friday evening. Awesome, I know. First thing Saturday morning I was up and looking for a place that could replace my shattered window asap. After going to one place that was way over charging me, didn't have the part, and said it would take 2 days to fix,I looked up Auto Fast Glass. I cannot tell you how AMAZING they were! Not only did they have the part AND were charging me half of what the other place quoted me, but they came to my apartment to fix it! Not only did they do that, but they fixed it in about 30-45 minutes. I wish they did more than auto glass, because I would use them for everything. A rock hit my windshield on the freeway about a year ago, and I waited until the crack went all the way across the windshield and whistled on the freeway to get it fixed. Why? Because I'm cheap...and lazy. When I had asked the dealership how much it would cost to replace it (out of curiosity), they said $700 for "genuine Toyota glass", but that they could find a discounted version for around $450. Meh. When I asked another local auto-body shop how much it would cost, they quoted me $390 + tax. Again, meh. I kept waiting. Then, a year later, I went on Yelp, found these guys, and they set up my appointment and gave me a quote for my Corolla in under 10 minutes. The quote? $229 + tax. o_O $229!!! And they would come to me, the next day, for free! The guy took about 30 minutes or less to change the windshield. I wish I had a time-lapse video of it since it was so awesome to watch. All he had were tools out of the back of his truck, and my car looks so good again. With tax, I paid just under $250 - waaaay better than going to the other places. I would definitely recommend this place. Tip: On the phone, they said they take cash, credit, or check. But, if they come to you, they only take cash or check. My car had the misfortune of getting struck by a rock on the freeway which created a crack on my car's windshield (yikes!). I didn't realize it until later in the day and ended up searching places that offered auto glass replacement services nearby. I called a few places, but not all shops seemed to offer OEM windshield glass. Auto Fast Glass wasn't able to provide me a same day appointment, but they did have the OEM glass and were able to set a reasonable appointment time the next day (and could drive to where my car was located). The next day, they came exactly when they promised and brought two very competent auto glass repair specialists that replaced my car's windshield in about 30 minutes. Some maniac (didn't see who) completely smashed my passenger side window. Window gone. Glass everywhere. My insurance works with Safelight but the cost to replace a window is surprisingly cheap and less than my deductible. And because insurance generally serves no actual function in our society - we live in a moral universe where some random can smash my window and just go on with their life and I get to pay for it and insurance sits there with arms folded. So there's no advantage to going to Safelight which 1) has not great Yelp reviews and 2) Is located in BFE. So I went to the guys up the street from my work. They were like 10 bucks cheaper but way closer. Very good reviews. They were nice over the phone. Plain. Succinct. No waiting. And they replaced my glass in 25 minutes! And my windows aren't tinted per se, but they are a little darker I suppose and my replacement glass seems to be exactly the same subtle hue. That's what concerned me most going in but no worries. Next time some psychopath destroys my car window without even bothering to steal anything I'm definitely going to these guys! read more

Not only was it the most reasonable price (I checked around), but it also included *free* come-to-where-you-are replacement. (Only my dealership was $5 cheaper, but that would have meant driving out to El Monte and spending time, gas money, and stress driving out there) The technician (didn't get the guys name) came promptly Friday morning, and he was so friendly and helpful. PLEASE READ THIS!!! I needed my 2003 BMW 530i front windshield molding replaced. After calling a few places I soon found out that you cant just replace the molding you have to replace the whole windshield. The guy at Auto Fast Glass is the only one that was willing to help me. He told me he can put a universal after market part for only $40. He also in great detail explained and warned me how it was not going to look no where near as good as the original part, but it would look better than what I have. I watched him work under 110 degree weather for about 30 minutes and could not believe that much work was going to cost only $40. When I saw the final product I was disappointed on how it looked, but it was EXACTLY what he had explained to me and it was better than what I had before. When the owner saw that I was disappointed he immediatly told me I don't have to pay him. There was now way I was not going to pay him, because he delivered exactly what he had promised when everyone else did not want to even help me. I tried to pay him and he would not take the money. Finally after me being very persistent in paying him, he finally agreed to take only $20. I wish he would have taken the $40 because I watched him work his but off in the horrible heat and he deserved every penny of the $40!! This is only my 2nd time writing a review and felt that public should know what a good person the owner is. People like him you come across very rarely, especially in LA County. Moving on forward I will take all my business to him and refer everyone I can to him. I'm so impressed by his ethics and willingness to help a stranger. I called to get an estimate.. I told the guy I would call him in 10 minutes after I spoke with my husband. He called me in 5 minutes again and asked me if I was going with them. he asked me abruptly if I was getting other prices. I said that I needed to speak to my husband and said that if he needed to remove me from his board that he could and he replied with, "I already did". If I say that I will call you back in 10... don't call me back in 5. If I am getting other prices, which is what intelligent people do, don't be rude to me because that just made the decision for me. I called 5 Star Auto Glass and they were $50 less and very polite. 5 Star just left and they were excellent. So happy the guy here was rude or I may have paid $50 more for bad service. read more

I am one of the many silly people that thought it was safe to leave a GPS on the dash in a populated area during daylight. Oh Burbank, I still love you. First thing in the morning I called Auto Fast Glass. The price was the best I could find, and they were able to send someone out to me within the hour. The guy that showed up was one of the nicest, friendliest guys I've met since I moved here. I came out to my car Easter morning to find that someone had smashed in my back window and stolen my laptop and ipod, among other things. After I spent the first 10 minutes crying about the stolen items, broken window and shattered glass EVERYWHERE, I started to worry about who would be able to come and fix it on Easter morning. I had a hidden chip at the top of my windshield that escaped my attention. Once it started cracking, it did so aggressively. I'm a DIY kind of guy and usually do all my own auto work. I've had experiences with auto glass shops in the past and recall paying $300+ for replacements. As times are tight, I put off getting the windshield done and lived with the annoying crack that started at the top of the driver's side, moved down half way, then across all the way to the passenger side. It grew to be so annoying and I finally caved (especially because I didn't want to get a ticket for the damage). So I called around. Auto Fast Glass lives up to their name. They were friendly, quick, and personable. I called them at the end of their business hours and they had my glass ready the following morning. I live around the corner so I thought I'd just visit their shop. But honestly, you don't have to. They'll come to you for free and install at your home or work. When you visit them, it's a small upstairs office with a truck. So if you're looking for them, good luck. They're on Olive Ave, but behind the store fronts facing the street. They did a great job, and the price was less than $180 with installation on my 2004 Jeep Liberty. This came at a huge relief for me as I was expecting much much more. Waking up to a busted car window was not my ideal morning--especially when I had to hurry off to work meetings. I called 5 other places to get quotes, and Auto Fast Glass had the best deal. The owner promised a workman would come to my job to replace the window in a specified time frame. I got a call a little while later stating that the workman could no longer make it in that time frame, so the owner himself drove to my location because he said he made a promise to be there. This definitely goes above and beyond customer service! The owner was very friendly, quickly replaced the window, and showed me the damaged areas where the person broke in. This is the place to go. The windshield on my old F150 was leaking badly causing serious electrical problems. Nationally advertised glass companies would only replace the entire windshield. Which wasn't broken. Other local shops would not guarantee a reseal or deal with a potentially rusted surface. Auto Fast Glass does both. They carefully removed the old windshield, polished the rusted areas around the leaks, resealed and reinstalled in less than one hour. So late! Called up at 10:30 and he said there will be someone at my place between 11:30 and 12:30. Liars! The shop is less then a mile away. He also called at 11:00 and said he was on his way over. When he finally showed up at 1:30, he tried to up sale me the rubber that goes around the windshield. Window had never been replace. No cracks or anything. I said no. He proceeded to remove the rubber and he did such a lame jobs I said fine, put in a new rubber. An hour and a half later I had a windshield. I don't have all day to do things like this but this place seems to think I do. Never again. I felt I had to yelp them so people know. I have them 2 stars because at least I have a windshield. I WAS RIPPED OFF. Someone broke the back quarter-glass on my 2004 Honda. I read the positive reviews on Yelp, and decided to go with Auto Fast Glass to replace it. I sincerely regret it. Even though I have an extremely common car, I know that finding that window might not be easy. I called and they assured me they would have the right one, and the price would be around $200. When they arrived, the tech took out the old glass, cleaned up the debris. When he got to installing the new glass, he looked a bit puzzled. He made a call **. Then he put the new glass in. They charged me $220. I'm not an expert, but it seemed like he had to use an unusual amount of glue to get the window onto the car. I was in a hurry, (since I had to go on a trip the next day,) and let him do his thing. An hour later, while running errands, I looked and saw that the door didn't even close right! Further inspection showed huge gaps where the window wasn't even in contact with the body of the car. -It seemed light showed through the seam, and even the window-stripping seemed screwed-up! I called the owner, and he asked me to hurry over to HIS office. When I got there, he gave me a song-and-dance about how it's not factory glass (-But high quality!) It's the right glass for the car, --even though it doesn't fit the car! (( **I'm sure he was on the other line of that call, telling that tech to put in, even though it was the wrong item.)) I tell him this is unacceptable. I have to go on a long business trip, but I expect something to be done. He offers to call Honda and order a brand new window (at something like $350 more!!) I tell him I'll have to wait to make a decision, and drive off with the bad window, so I'm not leaving my car on the streets without a window at all. When I get back from my trip, I text again, and he asks for my VIN, so he can order the $350 glass from Honda. I coincidentally had to go to the dealership (for the airbag recall,) and the Honda dealer found me a guy who installed a perfectly fit, used Honda window for $150. (What I wanted all along for my 11 year-old car!) Spoke to Auto Fast Glass today. Now he tells me the glass was always the right glass, and his BAIT-AND-SWITCH tactics are perfectly normal. "Read your receipt" he told me. "There are no refunds." -Oh, he said he MIGHT offer to buy back the bogus glass he installed the first time! After 10 minutes of yelling in my ear, he put me on hold, then never came back. If you've been in LA long enough, you've been screwed over by plenty of people. I'm looking into what options I have now: Small Claims Court, LA City Attorney.. I think these are BAD GUYS who will do a BAD JOB, and dare you to do something about it. But if you want someone to install the WRONG window on your car for twice the price, give 'em a call! read more
