Saturday morning I called and spoke with Andrew who said they were closed for the Easter weekend but could schedule me for Monday. I was a little nervous about waiting, so Andrew gave me tips on how to minimize the risk of it becoming a full crack in the meantime. He also gave me a quote and what their pricing included, warranty, etc. Monday came and Jack called as anticipated, giving me a 45-minute notice of his arrival. I was out for a walk at the time, but Jack graciously offered to wait the few minutes it would take for me to get back. Jack was very thorough in explaining all the "need to knows" - i.e., repair procedure, including possibility of the chip turning into a crack during the process, the warranty, and payment details (being explicit about a 3% charge for using a credit card). Within 30 minutes Jack was done and at which time I paid their very reasonable $149 charge, again going over the warranty and protocol for receiving a receipt. Would definitely recommend Auto Glass Kings for chips. Hopefully I never need a new windshield, but if I do I know who to turn to first!

I reached the office on my first call and immediately spoke to a real person--not an endless phone menu. They were able to schedule a mobile appointment at my home within 24 hours. The quote I received was exactly what I paid--no surprises, no hidden fees. Tony even took care of a small additional issue by tightening my windshield wiper assembly without any hesitation or extra charge. He called to confirm the appointment when he left the shop, arrived exactly when promised, and completed the installation within the estimated time. When he was finished, the work area was as clean as he had found it. Tony was friendly, courteous, and professional throughout the entire process. I live in Irvine and he said he'd be happy to come up to me but once I found out that I'd be closer to him for work, we scheduled a meetup point that was both closer to him and convenient for myself. His quote was so good I didn't even compare prices. He assured me that upon completion, my windshield would not be damaged further, and save the cost and hassle of an entire windshield replacement. The technician, Alex G., was so great years ago when he'd replaced a windshield on my car, that I asked if he was still with the company & requested to have him do the work. He & another guy (didn't catch his name) came out to the house to replace the windshield on my daughter's 3 week old Elantra. (Rock chip on the freeway.) Alex remembered our house, though it had easily been about 5 years since he'd been out to us. My daughter & I both spoke with Alex. He gave us a quick rundown of what they were going to do. He relocated her temporary registration/VIN decal & showed her where he was putting it in the car so she could replace it later. (Ironically, she received her permanent plates that same day.) The guys completed the work & were out in just a little over an hour. And it was all done in my driveway! That's worth any price! Speaking of prices, theirs were very comparable to other places my husband called- except for SafeLite. ‍ Their price was more than double what United quoted & their quote that was emailed to us was very shady looking, as the amounts didn't add up at all! We have a $1k deductible & United charged $825 out the door. We have comprehensive coverage but decided to pay out of pocket, as she was at fault recently for breaking the front axle on her previous car where insurance deemed it a total loss. (Teenagers! ) We decided to keep our name out of the insurance office for a bit & cover it on our own!
