First off, my back glass got shattered and I was sent to a Safelite 45 min from my house only to be told when I got there that they didn't even have the part, so in a scramble called several places including this spot. Luis and Charles went ABOVE AND BEYOND, they ordered the part, went and picked it up, and squeezed me in so I was out of there within a few hours. I've had to take my vehicle here twice and now coming up on a 3rd time because repairs were completed incorrectly and technicians damaged my vehicle during the repair of my driver side window. Service manager Luis is really bad at communicating with customers. He was supposed to call me on Thursday 7/31 in regards to replacing my door panel on my brand new 2025 at their cost since it was damaged by their techs. It's now Monday 8/4 and I have not received a call to make their mistakes right. I've had to call twice today and try to get ahold of him. The first time I was left on hold for 10+ minutes and abandoned. The second time I called the customer service rep was unhelpful and cranky and acted like I was disturbing her by asking for help. Very dissatisfied. Had my insurance not forced me to come here, I wouldn't have come. I wouldn't come back either. read more

Late last week, a small rock hit my windshield on the way home from work and put a pretty sizeable crack in it. I knew that it was beyond repair so I decided to look up All Star Glass whom I had first heard about when I worked for Encinitas Ford many years ago. I went to their web site (www.allstarglass.net), clicked on the AAA link, and filled out the requested information. Within minutes, I had a quote in front of me and a short time after that, I received a phone call asking if I wanted to schedule an appointment. I said "yes" and although they couldn't schedule a trip to my office in Mira Mesa until August, they scheduled someone to come to my home a few days later (today). My appointment window was from 8 AM-12 PM. The tech (Armando) showed up at a little before 12 PM and got right to work. In less than an hour, he was completely done replacing my windshield. Thanks All Star Glass and Armando for your help. Now I won't have to worry about getting pulled over for a broken windshield anymore nor have to worry about leaks going through a car wash! I called for a quote for a windshield and provided them with my VIN number so they could give me an accurate quote. After speaking with them for about 10 minutes and the employee even putting me on hold to speak with a manager/supervisor about the quote, the employee came back on the phone and confirmed the price/quote $1,000). I asked for the quote to be emailed to me and when the quote was finally emailed, it was over $1,800! More than $800 than what the employee had quoted me after speaking with his manager/supervisor. When I spoke with a manager/supervisor about it, he said he couldn't do it for the $1,000 price I was quoted over the phone, although he mentioned that he did see on the notes on his computer the request for the $1k quote that was give to me. I wouldn't trust them. This is not how you operate a business. read more

My front windshield on my BMW 8 series was cracked in three places right down the front. We tried to contact Safelite, however, could never talk directly to a person and it was very frustrating. Decided to call All Star glass and spoke with Christy who went above and beyond helping me get it fixed and getting it back to me quickly. They had to special order the glass & said it would be 2 to 3 business days. It was received in one day and I had an appointment two days later to have it installed. We had the misfortune of a rock hitting the windshield on our way to a celebration. I immediately called the insurance company. I was told we were covered. I made the appointment with their very professional & personable staff. Brought my year old Miata in & was out in two hours. They had ordered the windshield from the factory & were all caught up on all the calibrations ( I.e lane assist, side sensors, etc.) that are part of the installation. It's hard to find a good business these days that really stands by their work but this week I definitely found one. It's unfortunate that my 2000 Honda Insight's windshield was destroyed by a rock while driving home one day and I needed a windshield right away. I called up All Star Glass and by the next day they had a service technician at my home right on time. He replaced my windshield in my driveway and I thought it was done but I was wrong. Upon further inspection on my new windshield the next day, I noticed that my moldings were not seated correctly and the glass was sagging on the passenger side. WTF!! I called immediately and was put in contact with Jesse who apologized profusely and he sent the store manager, Delfino, to my home to see the installation problem. Apparently since my Honda Insight is fairly rare (only 14,000 ever made) it's a very tricky car with multiple moldings that need to be replaced. Unfortunately for me, my passenger side molding was on national back order! All Star Glass ordered every possible piece and kept me informed on where it was en-route to them. After about a week of waiting, they called me up and set me up an appointment that was convenient to me. Delfino himself replaced all the moldings, windshield, and associated hardware at no additional cost. All Star Glass (in Chula Vista) went out of their way to make sure the customer was happy and completely satisfied! Plus they gave me an awesome discount for being with AAA and the US Navy! They come to you to install. 3. Delfino, the service installer that came out to replace my windshield was amazing. Someone broke into my BMW while I was inside the gym on Friday, November 23, 2018. It was mid-afternoon but I believed if I could get to a repair shop there was still enough time to have it repaired. 10,000 pieces of window glass but nothing for a BMW in stock so I had to wait one additional day. I made an appointment for Saturday at 09:00 am through the wonderful customer service representative "Gloria." I showed up the next morning at 8:00 am and was encouraged by an installer who offered me coffee and the possibility of getting started earlier than 9:00 am. Much to my surprise, the installation took about an hour and I was out by 9:15 am. The experience of working with people who know how to treat people and also know their craft was just the empathy I needed to soothe the psychological damage that an experience of break and entry has on one's mind. I will use them again to help correct another window issue, but if you are looking for an EXCELLENT experience, this is the only vehicle glass repair company you will want to do business with. read more

Had a door window replaced after being broke in 2016. They originally brought out a bent piece of glass and had to order a new one. They returned in a few days and installed the new glass. The glass did not fit correctly and I was told it was because the convertible top was not aligned. Months later I replace the top and have another guy look at the window to find out it's either not the right glass or not installed correctly. I try to contact All Star and get a call back but don't hear from them and get busy. I finally get ahold of them and they send a tech out to look at the glass. He admits it's bent and/or not the right glass to begin with! The Manager tells me because it's not in warranty they will not replace it. -They claim the original technician said the glass fit in his report. It didn't. -The technician they sent out looked at it and agreed it wasn't done right but warned me that they are not gonna fix it because it was "out of warranty". Funny that the tech even knew it was wrong and the wouldn't stand by his word! read more

Initially got a quote from Safelite which was $600 something for my windshield. Called All Star and they quoted me $300 something.... Cool! My windshield was broken pretty badly by a huge rock on the driver's side, so my car wasn't really driveable. They wouldn't take a credit card payment over the phone which was strange, but I told them I would have someone waiting with a check. They came and said that they quoted me for the wrong windshield. So now I am waiting more days because they need to special order the glass (Safelite didn't need to do any special orders), and it was going to cost $600 something. Since it was so expensive, I decided to go thru my insurance. Filed the claim and they had my insurance info on file. They still refused to take a card payment over the phone, and they said that even though I was authorizing it and they had my insurance information because I filed a claim, they wouldn't let me leave a card with someone at my house to make the payment (I work during their operating hours and couldn't be there). They said I could call and change the location to my work so I'd be present if I wanted. I DIDN'T want to, but to make it easy, I called back and asked to have them come to my work instead, so they could take my card with me in person. They said they couldn't change the location, because another branch would need to take care of it, and that branch would need to special order the glass. I asked if they could just deliver the glass to that branch, because I was specifically told I could change the location with no problem. It's not like I was asking them to go to a different city. Everything was in San Diego! They said I would need to stick with my original appt or start the process all over. So I stuck with my appt and asked again if they could take my payment over the phone or if I could leave my card with someone there. They refused, and said they could ask if the driver would want to take my card payment even if I wasn't there, but it would be up to him to make an exception because of fraud concerns and whatnot. I get it, but not only was I going thru my insurance, so they had all that info, they accepted a check with my name on it even though I wasn't there! I was told I would be called when the driver was on the way. I got no such call. Someone at the house called me saying that the driver was there, that he came to the door, didn't say anything and left. Then I got a call on the other line, and it's the driver yelling at me FORD FIESTA FORD FIESTA! I got back to the other line and told them to give him the key, and she said she was trying to, but he just randomly left, and I guess that was when he called me and started yelling incoherently. Anyway, the phone people were friendly, and I know the policies aren't in their hands. But don't tell me I can change the appt when the next person is going to tell me I can't, please accept credit cards like everyone else does especially if the person is going thru insurance, actually call when you say you are going to call, and don't be creepy at the door and on the phone when you actually get there! I wish I had just gone with Safelite! read more
