This is one of those cheapest places that are 'cheaper for a reason'. I've been going here for over 20+ years but they've been going downhill over the last 5 or so. Last time they 'adjusted' my price after install by $10, telling me my Mazda3 was a higher trim then it was. I usually tip the installer so I just called it even. They did offer to replace my rear view mirror that was a bit shaky - and for a cheap price. Unfortunately it started getting oxidation around the border within months. Had windshield replaced a few days ago and ever since then I've had a wind sound seeping through windshield whenever I drive over 50 mph. They completed the job pretty quick but didn't pay attention to detail. I called and the manager told me to come in so he could check it out. He had one of his workers spray more sealant into the unsealed areas but after a day the sound is still there. Manager told me that he'd replace the glass if sound persisted. Gave it 2 days and when I arrived he tried to tell me that it's sealed properly and he's 99% confident the sound is coming from the air vent. The sound wasn't there until I had them replace my windshield. Had another company take a look at it and they showed me how it wasn't sealed properly. I will be disputing this fee through my bank. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

This is the third time I've gone to get a windshield replaced with them. I'm extremely disappointed my interior ceiling has dirty hand marks all over it, and I have a light interior and the plastic trim piece on the floor has mud and dirt all over it. Disappointed that the quality of customer service has gone down. read more

I went to get a part fixed on the drivers side door and was told to purchase a new OEM PART. I did exactly as told and returned to have part installed. Upon showing part to the man at the front desk, he told me he would not do the install. He is not a good business guy. I feel he based his decision on the fact that I had to return to the business for them to correct an problematic install they had done on another door of same vehicle. Not only that, but they wrongfully drilled a screw into the door, and it shows. That's an improper install. The man has a negative attitude. I later took my car to a body shop in Chula Vista to have same part installed and they charged me $35 less than this salvage auto glass business. They are thieves on top of not good business practices. I do not recommend anyone spend their time and money at this salvage auto glass business. read more

Unfortunately got a crack in my windshield somehow.. coming from one end almost to the middle (obviously not repairable) being a young college student , I scavenged Chula Vista for the best price around and found Heritage Auto Glass! Prices are the best you'll find! The owner and staff are so polite and thorough. There is a seating area and if your lucky some days there's a taco man a couple feet away. The process took 40 minutes when we were told an hour. Quick and easy. Windshield looks great , haven't had any issues. Will definitely return on the unfortunate event id ever need to. I came here today to change the right front window regulator and the guy told me it will cost $45 only to open and check and $140 to change the regulator Plus they need to check the glass and probably will need to change the window that will cost me another $100 at least. One of my power windows stopped working on my car. I had similar issues with a previous car so I knew it was most likely the regulator. I called two different shops in El Cajon who claimed to be able to fix this type of issue. After going to both shops, neither of them were able to figure what was wrong or even willing to do the job. I called Heritage and they had an appointment right away. The tech there identified what was wrong right away. They got the job done in a little over an hour and for a fair price. I came to replace a car glass passenger window for $500 dollars, they left so much glass inside my door panel and had left glass under my passenger seat. The manager or owner told me it would come out over time, Next day had scratches on my window and a month later there was still so much glass in my door. I then came back a second time to complain and said he wouldn't replace my window, since he thinks someone scratch it on the outside. All of the glass on my car is not scratched only the one they replaced. Obviously, it's due to the glass they refused to clean the first day. They did end up cleaning all the glass when I came back as you can see in my photos, they had to remove the window regulator. The yellow stickers are on the floor since it's the first time they removed them. If they did that the first time, I wouldn't have scratches on my window and didn't have had to waste time coming back. Would definitely not recommend. read more

My driver side window was shattered entirely but somehow was still holding together. I carefully drive to Heritage Auto Glass , they gave me a price over the phone for the piece but didn't tell me it was a used plus a bit scratched window . Anyhow I accepted and waited patiently for 2 hours - finally they tell me it's ready and I pay and drive off and I keep hearing a lot of glass in the door - now I've replaced many car windows in previous years and they have never returned my car like this - every time I open and close the door I hear a lot of glass pieces shaking within the door - not great service - be aware. read more

Horrible experience! I got recommended from my work and thought it was a good chance to try if they're good but it was a mistake bringing my 2015 wrx STI for repairing the front windshield. The tech was so rude and he damage my car paint and some cover. He put the windshield not properly align and the cover outside wont fit, when all is done. Me and my girlfriend were so mad and made them fix it but i had to wait for 2 days to let the glue dry. After 2 days we went back and they promise to fix the damages that they cost. When its all done i inspect everything. It was better than before and they even retouch the paint. I was happy but when the rain came.. we saw water dripping under my glove compartment. I brought my car in to replace my windshield. They got the job done and put the windshield in but when they were done i take a look at my gaskets seals and none of them were flush with the glass. It does not look good overall. The rubber seals were not on the windshield there was a biig gap between. Accidents happen and there is nothing we can do about them but fix them. Came here not by choice. The staff was friendly and they fix my rear window fast and inexpensive. They tell you not to wash it for 48 hrs. But I took I bit longer. So after 3 months I finally washed it and found a leak called them right away and on my next day off went back and the problem was fixed. Highly recommend this place. My car was broken into and my driver side window was completely shattered. I originally contacted Safelite and they didn't have an appointment for 7 days and it was going to be HUNDREDS of dollars. I contacted Heritage and their quote was far less and REASONABLE. They told me they were busy the day of but could have someone out the next morning. I was so excited! Came about 3 weeks ago all excited to get my windshield replaced on my new car. Called ahead of time and The phone rep was pretty nice. Once I got to their location I was helped by this gentleman which I may say he wasn't the happiest camper. Anyways once the Windshield was replaced I drove away and started to hear wind coming through my Windshield right away called Heritage and the Rep told me that maybe the tape that they had placed on top of the Windshield was the thing that was making the noice, He Said if it continued after 2 days to come back with no worries! I was like okay! Since my car was barely purchase I had to take it to my mechanic to get it serviced. I hadn't even mention anything to my mechanic about my new windshield when he told me if I was aware that wind was coming through my windshield I was pretty shocked because I thought it was justme that was hallucinating the wind. My driver side window was shattered. We elected to hire the mobile service. Thankfully they were able to come this morning on short notice. Unfortunately we forgot the name of the young man who did the repair. Mistakenly my husband told the shop the wrong year of my car over the phone, which meant the young man had to go all the way back to the shop to get the correct-fitting window.
