I highly recommend Kendall Automotive Repair! They repaired the transmission on my 1989 Nissan pickup and did an outstanding job. We went to Kendall's based on the recommendation of a neighbor. We had a long history with another shop, but they went out of business, so we gave Kendall's a try. We have taken our 2013 Subaru to Kendall's to have various things fixed and maintained. Mike and his team are honest, they won't fix it unless your vehicle needs it. The prices are fair and I can honestly say I value Mike and the service the shop gives to us. There are many places to go, but this is my place, and you are supporting local businesses as well. Give them a try. read more

Kendall Automotive provided great service. They repaired my car for one issue then another issue arises. They assessed the problem right away and ordered the part. The part had to come from Germany which meant a possible 4- 8 week for delivery. Mike kept me updated weekly and after 4 weeks of waiting he came with another solution. He was very concerned about me not having a vehicle for so long and having to rent a car. The second solution was tried which took a few days. It ended with that not working either, but they kept trying and finally they were able to figure it out. At no cost to me!!! Hallelujah!!! read more

Kendall's is great! I was a first time customer today and I'll be recommending them to everyone I know. Michael made an exception for my oil change today on very short notice, but I would never expect this exception again. I recommend making an appointment in advance because they are a very busy shop with many services, and very happy customers. The shop is super clean, well designed, and the staff members are extremely professional. Even the lobby was designed well and made me feel welcome. I wish I had known about these guys years ago. read more

Definitely worth five stars! I went in for an oil change and was out 45 minutes later, same day. Great service and competitively priced. I have a vehicle that I absolutely love owning/driving - and have decided to keep it for better or worse That said, I have been searching for an auto mechanic that I can trust to take my best interests to heart. Kendall Automotive is the one! After speaking with various businesses in the area, and getting what felt like a run around (does auto repair really need to be a scary and cryptic black hole?!) I finally spoke with Michael at Kendall. 1) He listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions regarding the repair. 2) I never felt rushed or stupid for not fully grasping auto repair speak. 3) He had to reach out to another source to give an accurate quote and actually called me back within the time frame he'd given. 4) I was able to get an appointment within a reasonable time frame. 5) Work was completed well and efficiently. 6) The end bill was exactly as quoted. Over all my experience with Kendall Automotive was a very good one. Customer service is A+ and I feel I can trust their pricing as well as the quality of the work performed. I highly recommend this business. read more

Had a super last minute brake issue. This place was suggested to me so I gave them a call. The guy on the phone was super helpful and nice. He was able to have me come right in and drop my car off within 30 minutes of our phone call. He had an estimate waiting for me when I arrived too which was extremely helpful. He even sent an update text of how it was going and what the issue was and how the price would be lower than expected! I was able to pick it up by 4:30 that day! This place takes the time to really take care of their customers. Will be back with my other vehicles when needed! read more

I brought in my 2010 Dodge Charger because the gas gauge was having issues showing how much gas I truly had. It took some trial and error but Gary and his staff went above and beyond figuring it all out. Even spending hours hunting down a hard to find part. My girlfriend was told she needed a new alternator from a shop in San Jose that her grandma recommended. When she got home she took her car to Kendall Automotive here in Brentwood. Best local shop in Brentwood. Always fair in pricing and estimate of repairs. Work always completed with highest professionalism.

As a walk in customer I was very happy that they could service my broken AC on my 2000 Honda. Since it hadn't worked properly for years, I was expecting a major repair bill. Kendall did a diagnostic test and fixed the problem for $180. Why didn't I come in sooner? Great job, you guys! I recommend them and will be back for future repairs!! read more

This shop literally kept me from having a nervous breakdown this past week. I had "noises" from the year end of my Suzuki that another shop did not diagnose. The problem with this timing was that I ABSOLUTELY needed my car back on the Monday after I dropped it off. I had to transport an ill dog to Mill Valley for surgery and the truck my sister so graciously lent me for the weekend was too high for me to get her in and out, before and AFTER gut surgery. I do NOT know how they managed to get it done by the time I had to leave but they did and saved me from going into meltdown. FABULOUS shop, INCREDIBLY NICE staff, and they really went the extra mile for me. Cannot say enough good things here, but I will NEVER go to ANY other shop from this point forward! read more

I'm new to Brentwood and asked a member of my church if he had a mechanic that he used regular and trusted was fair. He recommended Kendall Automotive and I'm so thankful he did. My van had some major work to be done and Michael and his team of mechanics were great to work with. They were fair priced and did a fantastic job on replacing my alternator assembly, belts, and radiator. I plan to recommend them to anyone who asks me about a mechanic from now on. read more

The customer service here is amazing. Took a used truck here to have them check it out. The price they were going to charge me was fair and I went with the higher priced option because they'd do a few extra tests. Come to find out the truck had already been here for the tests. The owner of the shop said m, I'll save you the money, we already checked this truck out. Here's the report. He totally could have charged me and not told me he had already done it a few weeks prior. Honest owner. I'll definitely be coming back. read more
