David is my reliable mechanic for 7-8years. Has been good taking care my cars all the time. My MDX is now getting old but it runs like still new car. He touched since it was brand new. He got my F-150 all noise out and got problems for jerking issue for engine. I'm so happy his work. This is first review cause I can't hold my appreciation for him anymore. Just dropped my car off today - third time I've been here. David, the owner, is very nice, and his quote has always been lower than the dealer (of course), and several other repair shops closer to my home. He did the 100,000K maintenance on the same car, and that was almost a year ago. Car has been running great. Hoping my Honda hits 250,000, and with his help, it probably will. Before I add my review, let me mention I was in the automobile sales and service industry for over 18 years. Most of that time as a general manager, so I understand how auto repair works. One thing I have done for years is buy my own OE (original equipment parts) online and have the shop just do the labor. I actually get OE parts that are guaranteed for life. I wouldn't recommend that for everyone but I am very familiar with European cars. There is not enough room on this review to cover all the details but, do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Auto Medic and David. I have an old Volvo estate wagon with over 500,000 miles on it. Amazing car. The original owner kept it in great shape. As parts wore out, they were replaced with OE (original equipment) parts. It is great for going to farmers markets etc. Long story short, the Volvo broke down while on the freeway, my regular mechanic shops were booked solid so I called David at Auto Medic. His shop is close to my house. I knew it was a fuel delivery issue (fuel filter, fuel pump, etc.) - pretty simple stuff. I explained to him the situation. He says he can get the same parts wholesale and get the car back to me ASAP. Late the next day, he calls and whines he can't get the original parts. Unbelievable! I could have had the parts delivered already. Long story short, I get it back two days later, and he charged me about double what the parts would have cost me. The bill was over $500. I told him he overcharged me about $100 to $150 for the parts and they were cheap, low quality Chinese parts, with no warranty. He refused to lower my bill but he still had my car. The problem is he's got me because I had the car towed in and unless I pay his price he won't release the car. We exchange words, I tell him right to his face he is a thief. He ignores me, keeps adding up the bill and won't look me in the eye. I pay the bill and tell him I am going to file a claim with the Bureau of Auto Repair and file a dispute with my CC company. Afterwards, I went home and mentioned to my roommate what happened. He chuckles and then tells me about his friend who took his BMW to Auto Medic. The car had a sealed transmission. The transmission is factory sealed for a reason! David drained and refilled the transmission fluid anyway and ruined it. Cost the customer $7000 to replace it. By comparison - I got a deal, I guess! Bottom line -STAY AWAY FROM AUTO MEDIC. There are plenty of honest mechanics out there! read more

My Civic needed an oil change and tire rotation, and so I did some research and shopped around the area. I got quoted from $85 to $105 because I need 0w-20 synthetic oil... no thanks. Finally I found this place, where David quoted me significantly less than everywhere else I checked. He was friendly and I made an appointment on the phone. Day of, David worked on my car himself, and didn't try to convince me I needed anything else. It only took 30 minutes just as he said it would. Sweet. I've heard good things about this place from several friends so when I was buying my car last week I gave them a call to see if they could do a quick inspection before purchase. Though they were busy they said they could squeeze me in last minute. David spent a good 20 minutes inspecting my car and pointed out a slightly damaged bumper that I hadn't noticed. It saved me a few hundred dollars at the dealership. When I asked him how much the charge was he said it was free. I was shocked. He just said he didn't have time at that moment to charge me, but that when I got my car, to bring it in for maintenance. I'll definitely be back. read more

Outstanding service and good pricing! Second time at David's shop. Dropped off my 06 civic for a complete overhaul. Able to complete the job on short notice and not a pressure-salesy type of environment which adds to the experience. Takes some of the pain away when having to get your car service. David and his shop were referred to me by another auto repair facility that could not perform the test needed to diagnose the problem with my car. David explained the procedure and cost ahead of time. After the diagnostics were completed, he invited me over to the vehicle to look at the results with him. He patiently explained what was found and the solution. After asking them to also check a tire that was consistently losing air, they found a nail in the tire and were able to repair the tire immediately.
