Outstanding Customer Service from Miguel at O'Reilly Auto Parts!…read more I had a fantastic experience today at the O'Reilly Auto Parts store in Mountain Gate Plaza at 1239 E. Los Angeles Ave. in Simi Valley, and I especially want to recognize Miguel, the store manager, for going above and beyond to help me. I had just returned home from vacation to discover that my truck had a completely dead battery. I called the Auto Club, and they gave me a jump start. I ran the truck for about an hour to give the battery a chance to recharge, only to wake up the next morning to another dead battery. After getting another jump start, I headed over to O'Reilly Auto Parts. That's where Miguel really impressed me. Rather than simply selling me a battery, Miguel personally took the time to diagnose the problem and make sure we knew exactly what was going on. He tested the battery, entered the correct information into the tester, and determined that the battery itself was faulty and needed to be replaced. Miguel then personally installed the new battery, helped me get a new set of windshield wipers, and shared some excellent advice based on his years of experience. He was knowledgeable, patient, straightforward, and genuinely interested in making sure I left with the problem solved. You don't always get that kind of personal service anymore. Miguel could have simply sold me a battery and sent me on my way, but instead he took ownership of the situation and made sure everything was taken care of. If you ever have a question or problem with your vehicle and want honest, straightforward answers from someone who knows what he's talking about, I highly recommend stopping by O'Reilly Auto Parts at Mountain Gate Plaza and asking for Miguel. When I got there there was two guys behind the counter, they both looked grumpy and walked away when I walked in. I waited a few moments and one guy was finally able to speak to me. I told him I called about a color match, he said I need to leave the part that I brought in for a color match for few days, that they would get back to me. Also there was a $25 charge to try and match the color. I said no thanks I needed it right away and left. I went to another Auto Paint store in Oxnard, they mixed and matched the color for me on the spot, no charge, I just had to pay for the paint that I needed. They also gave me mixing sticks, and a great deal on other supplies that I needed. I won't be going back to Simi Paint.
