My dad and I visited the AutoZone auto parts store earlier today to purchase a car battery that we were planning on replacing. Jorge greeted us as we walked in and was so incredibly helpful. I had set aside 2 to 3 hours, when planning to get the battery purchased and then replaced, but in a matter of 10 minutes, absolutely no exaggeration at all, in 10 minutes Jorge replaced my battery and we were on our way. I seriously have not seen that done so quickly other than on the NASCAR races. My dad and I were absolutely astonished and so pleased with such incredible service. Went in AutoZone Friday to get car remote batteries. They were out of ones for Hyundai Kona, so the guy that helped me said he would order them & would be there in a day or two. I went back 5 days later to find the order hadn't been placed, so I ordered 2 batteries & paid for them in advance. I was told they were coming from another store & would be in the next day. I went back two days later & they couldn't find them or never got them. This is 3 times going back & waiting in line for nothing. I got a refund & will never do business w this store again - if they can't get a simple thing like a battery for a car remote right, why would I ever trust them w something else? read more

In a very trying day... In less than an hour, the awesome staff and Jorge was one of them that helped myself and my daughter with her head light for her Kia. He eliminated a lot of anxiety with helping us find the part quickly and even taking the time to switch out the bulb since I was pressed for time in my own schedule and my daughter of course had her two girls my granddaughters with her. After getting the runaround at Costco for replacement of my marine battery that was less than a year old, I was told that Costco has changed their replacement program and now prorates the adjustment. The manager at Costco offered me two dollars proration for a battery. Frustrated I called AutoZone and spoke to Jorge who was extremely nice and knowledgeable. AutoZone does a year replacement and the price bested Costco. Jorge went on to explain how to read the battery and options to purchasing a new one. My break light bulb went out and no other shop was able to help me replace it, I went to Autozone and they were able to fix it for me, the young man went out of his way to make sure he got the job done, even when it was tough to remove the bulb he did whatever he could to figure it out, I will definitely come back here when the next break light goes out! So I came in to buy something else completely, (coolant) and at the register I find the fob key to my vehicle in the corner of my eye. The same one that's on back order on the car site I use. I ask about it and finally convince myself to get it. JON B. The autozone representative, waited patiently and assisted me in trying pry open my duck tape sealed original one. (Yes, the struggle is real) (yes we took off the duck tape off before trying to open it) the adhesive had almost welded the seams shut. It was murder trying to get it off without breaking. Still didn't know if it would work. Long story short, it worked! The entire Autozone crew was amazing! If you're in the Simi valley area, they will help you out. read more

I live in Moorpark and my battery died on me yesterday morning. After I was able to get it jumped I went to the closest Auto Zone to me because I heard they did complementary replacements. Unfortunately they said they couldn't do it so I was worried as to how I could get this done. I had never done it myself and my car isn't something I trust watching YouTube videos about repairs. So not wanting to get up charged at the dealership I decided to drive to this Auto Zone location and I am very glad I did. Crystal is AMAZING. After being to the previous store I was expecting some hemming and hawing, take them out to my car, and pop the hood for them to tell me they couldn't do it. However The guy who was helping me went and got Crystal after seeing my battery and she was out front getting everything taken care of right away. She had the whole thing done in 5 minutes and had me finally back on the road with a reliable battery. I wish I knew to come here ahead of time because the whole ordeal would have been done in 10 minutes rather then an 45 of driving around and waiting. Long story short, this is the only Auto Zone location I will be going to for now on. If you need something done and Crystal is in she will make sure it is done right and isn't afraid to get her hands under the hood. Thanks Crystal! read more

Granted, the guy in red was helping a lady, but the skinny older gentleman saw me ready to checkout, but instead looks at me, looks at a co-worker who is on the phone, and proceeds to answer the call versus checking me out with 1qt of synthetic oil. I shop here a lot, but the current attitude of F the buying customer in front of you is a piss poor way to run a store. Straight bs. Nothing like walking into a brand new store, huh? This is the third AutoZone in Simi Valley to along with one location in Moorpark. I guess we must have a lot of car trouble or customization going on here. I loved the layout of the new store and with plenty of light and high ceilings unlike pretty much every other car parts store I've ever been to. Also there's plenty of parking in their own large lot which is not shared with any other business. Cosmetics aside, I went in looking for fuel injector cleaner and an air filter, the staff greeted me right away and helped me find the parts right away. There was no attempt to upsell or steer. I was in and out in no time. This will definitely be my AutoZone going forward. read more

I found out that the battery was still under warranty from somewhere else and they even directed me to the location. I want to take the opportunity to recognize the manager of Auto Zone in West Simi Valley, James. I came in with a very small purchase, a battery for a car key. It's a Mazda key, one of those funky ones where you push a button and the key pops out. He encountered a little difficulty opening it. I told him "not to spin his wheels" as it was a small think and I didn't want to waste his time. What this young man did was to pull up a "how-to" video on his I-Phone and quickly the battery was installed and reassembled. What struck me is what he said: "I'm happy to do it for you and now I'll be able to help someone else" WOW!!! How often does that happen in this day and age! Speaks volumes of this man's integrity and work ethic. Now to residents of Simi Valley, I encourage you to patronize this Auto Zone. And to Corporate Auto Zone, It would be well to evaluate this very intelligent, consumer oriented manager for an executive position. You're not going to find a better "face" of Auto Zone to market your company. read more
