I came to this location a couple of weeks ago to get a brake light bulb replaced and the staff was professional and friendly. I initially went to a location up the road from this location after reading online that O'Reilly does free bulb installation with the purchase of their bulbs. I was able to purchase the bulbs but they said that they would not replace the bulb as they do not do brake lights, only headlights. I called ahead to this location after I had already purchased the bulbs and they said that they would be able to help me out. Thank you to Luis! You all saved me a lot of time, money, and stress! They did have the part I was looking for but being the ONLY customer in the store and still being ignored by the 'holier than thou' parts person was infuriating. I stood there patiently, waited for whatever it was they thought was more important than even acknowledging a person standing 2 feet in front of him. An 'I'll be with you in a minute' goes a long way buddy. When he finally decided to help me out it was immediate attitude all the way through the transaction. What a joke. I decided to order an cabin air filter on line through the website. They sent an email stating it would be about an hour. So an hour goes by. 2 hours go by no notification. Mind you I ordered one cabin air filter. I decided to go to the store. I'm greeted but a lackluster employee. I tell him why there. He goes to "look for it". Now I know 3-5 min is not a long time to wait, but, he was completely lost, as if I had come in, looking for a " flux capacitor to the 8th°". This is the world today. Big businesses have no choice but to hire for the most part the incompetent. They don't want to pay for competent employees and competent employees wouldn't work for Mickey Mouse operations. So O'Reilly auto parts your online ordering system gets an F!! Fails miserably. I would assume the order comes in online, some sort of notification is given to the employees that an online order came in, they pull the item and put it in the bin. Hit return and the customers notified via email that the order is ready. Pretty simple. Apparently not so for the current staff at O'Reilly auto parts Simi Valley. read more

Warning!!!! DO NOT LET THIS PLACE TOUCH YOUR CAR!!!! I went here on monday to get a break light the manager, Joel claimed he could try to take a look at the car to help me change the break light out. I have a dent in the side of the car and Joel discovered that caused damage to one of the pins that needs to be pulled out in order to get to the break light. I said no problem i will go ahead and take it to Auto- zone (like my uncle recommended in the first place and definitely should have gone there). I live about an hour away from this location and was visiting my mom, so she was with me. As I was watching him try to put the light back in pieces were breaking off with his force. He even stated "oh well now that broke off too" i sent a text to my mom as we were watching hims stating "i don't think this guy knows what hes doing at all" after he slammed the light back in the light was cracked and it wasn't full on like before. I noticed as i was driving home on the free way my whole frame over my light was coming off my car. It is now broke and the whole light needs to be replaced.... After he slammed the light to try to get it into place he said "that was a fail". i didnt say something then because i was shocked and didnt realize that he had literally broke the frame. i know there was damage before but all i needed was a replacement to my break light BULB and now i need a whole replacement to the entire left side light system. It was NOT this broken and was manageable but now it is completely broken. I called customer care and they spoke to Joel who blatantly lied and said he put the light back just as it was before... COMPLETE AND TOTAL B.S. The light did not need to be ducktaped before!!!!!! I am extremely unsatisfied with my service and then to be made out to be a liar or just complaining for nothing was ridiculous! Shame on you Oreillys for having a moron of a manager and completely disregarding a customers claim. read more

A Tale of Two Auto Parts Stores... Went in for a headlight bulb and the store was pretty empty. The young lady at the counter was very nice and saw that they didn't have the bulb I needed in stock. The one star is for her professionalism and kindness. She said if I brought in the actual bulb they might have a match in the store. I didn't know how to remove it so she asked if one of the employees would help me get the bulb out of the socket for me. None of them wanted to help me and one of them proceeds to say "grab it yourself" and have an attitude. God forbid they actually work and do their jobs. Young, lazy, entitled *ssholes. I called him a lazy M*therf*cker and I went to Autozone down the block. They also did not show the bulb in stock, an older gentlemen proceeded to grab his toolbox, remove the bulb, grab a new bulb and put it in for me. I gave him a $10 tip and thanked him after paying for the bulbs. What's wrong with today's youth? Horrible attitudes and entitled jerkoffs. Do yourself and society a favor, go to autozone. Whoever hired these pr*cks is killing their business. Again, the store was empty, auto zone was busy. Wonder why... lol read more

The store is absolutely a godsend. Alfonso, the manager, and his team are the knights of auto land. AAA would not replace my 1.6 year old warranty battery, because it came from a hybrid car. Came today to get an idea oh howto keep my front plate on the car. Its only clipped in, and fell off last weekend. The guys here are always friendly. We decided to get a black bungy cord and rig it, instead of drilling into my front bumper. Never a long wait, and prices are good. They even pout your wipers on for you, no charge. My truck broke down on my way to work last night. I was able to limp it to oreillys to try to fix the pully tensioner. It was 8:45 pm. They close at 9. The parts guys both stayed almost an hour late, let me borrow the tools I needed, and came out and helped me repair the truck. Then, they wouldn't even take a tip. That is by far the best customer support I have ever experienced, and both of them deserve a medal. I usually don't go to oreillys because they are a little more expensive, and don't have the technical expertise of the other guys, but last night changed my mine. I went to O'Reilly's convinced that my son's Honda Odyssey needed a new battery or new alternator. I called the owner and before i took it down to get a 5-600 dollar new alternator installed, they said they'd check it out for me and let me know if it was truly an alternator problem or something else. Javier came out to my still running car (everytime I turned it off I had to jump it to go back on) and while he was looking under the hood he noticed that the positive cable attached to the battery was loose. He then sent Eric, another employee to come out with the proper tools (they opened up a new ratchet for me) and 30 seconds later, problem solved! I love these guys! read more

I want to thank the guys at O'Rielly Auto Parts even tho they are probably really mad at me. I was a difficult customer but in the end they did the right thing and gave me a refund. #1. If you are buying something please check if it is a NO return "all sales final" item. I did not check when purchasing snow chains. After our trip I did not need them so I thought it was a easy return. My receipt clearly stated All sales final, no warranty however when do you inspect your receipt when you are purchasing? If I had known that ahead of time I would have not purchased them. Anyway, they were polite in refusing my return stating the receipt clearly stated no returns. I pleaded my case that had I been forwarned then I would not have purchased the item. Their customer service department got involved and were even more friendly to deal with. I am never going anywhere but here!! I came in just for a $12.00 headlight, I had a fix/it ticket from Simi cop . As I am telling him this, I mention I will have to "You Tube" how to put them in, and I'm having a problem with getting it smog'ed. He offers to do a check, where they put a line in computer of car- and it tells codes of what's wrong with car. So, to make a Long story short- Mike replaces my headlight, also my brake light (I had the new one already) And gave me the codes to fix my car! She waits at the parts counter and when the guy returns, he ignores her and waits on three guys who came in later and stood behind her in line. WTF is up with that??? This is the best auto parts store ever! I went into the store and asked if they can come out and see why my car won't start until I jumped it. Two minutes later I was told I needed a new battery. I put in the new battery but it wont start...not even turning over. I went back in with the new battery and they tested it and it was good, but they gave me another new one just to put me at ease. Then two of the guys came out to trouble shoot with me. They asked and I answered a whole lot of questions, and then, when I said "the door was doing something funny too". One of em figured it out. He played with my alarm button and then it started. Wow! What a great bunch of guys, what a great store. You just don't get service like this elsewhere...you don't. read more

Wrong parts, overpriced, no discounts. Half the staff is not knowledgable at all. Make sure you have all your part numbers in hand because otherwise you are likely to get the wrong part. Or they recommend you cheap parts that will fail saying they are just as good as the more expensive ones because they have no idea. read more

O'Reilly's auto-parts are amazing, especially Ryan! they're open till 9 PM tonight on the weekend! and they put batteries in both my keys for me which was really difficult, Nissan wants you to bring to them and charge a lot of money obviously, but Ryan put two batteries in both of my electronic keys which was actually fairly difficult to do, he did it with a smile and was incredibly handy and helpful and extremely kind and thoughtful. How have I missed this gem in Simi Valley for the last ten years? They are excellent there!!! I recently purchased a battery for my Hummer that they had in stock. They told me that it had not been sitting on the shelf for very long which I knew nothing about. The other auto parts store in my town wanted to sell me a two year old one. I also just bought snow chains which they took the time to explain how to install. After they ordered the wrong radiator for me twice in a row, i ended up having to return it both for a refund onto my debit card.
