I've recently bought a new car from another state, and I needed it transported fast and securely. These guys were highly rated, so I figured I'd go with them. Their rate for an enclosed trailer and my distance was $1249 (looking back I realized this was as a pretty low rate). First weeks goes by...nothing. Get a generic email update. Second week goes by...nothing. Get another generic update with little to no help. Contact the dispatcher. They promise me they'll find something soon. Third week goes by...STILL nothing. Same generic email and no help from dispatch. At this point I'm a little pissed because it should not have taken this long and clearly something was up. Well, as stated before, the rate they had me at was way way too low. The dispatcher admitted that it was, and told me carriers aren't paying attention to anything at or below $1,400. So they finally proceeded to raise the rate to attract a Carr- just kidding. Instead these AH told me they decided to hold it at $1399 instead of making it more attractive. That was the final straw. Not only do they half-a** their efforts to get you a carrier, they give you UNHELPFUL updates and leave you in the dark. This is so, so unacceptable! Luckily they have a $0 cancellation fee if you don't have a carrier assigned to your car. read more

Extremely unprofessional drivers and dispatch. We arranged a pick up this week + we are trying to evacuate due to a hurricane. The driver stated he didn't know about the hurricane but promised the pick up between 10-12. We kept calling him after 12, no answer. Our so called point of contact/dispatch did not bother answering the phone. At about 2, the driver finally answered the phone stating he wasn't coming. A new company was scheduled however we had already left/evacuated. If you know anything about running from a hurricane, time is of the essence! DO NOT use this company if you have an actual schedule to keep, they are NOT reliable! read more

Order# 1049384 I recently did a move from Hawaii to Virginia (port to door) and from my experience I will never hire this company again due to their poor communication and handling of delays. My expectation was to hire a broker to handle everything and only communicate through the broker for updates but, instead from the beginning I get on a three-way call to schedule and give my credit card info over the phone to a boat shipper. After dropping of my car at the port, I receive zero communication after... Every single call concerning the shipment of my car was initiated by me. My car arrived in CA... no call of that status. The only call I receive is stating that they need my credit card info ASAP to pay the trucker shipping company moving my car from CA to VA. After that transaction, once again silence. I called a week later only to find out that there was a delay in shipping (no call letting me know of this delay), and then they tried to give me the contact info to the trucking company to call them direct... which I was not going to do because I hired them to mediate my move. Finally as my car was moving across country, still no communication or update statuses. I call ASG the day my car is scheduled to arrive only to find out that they don't know why the truck hasn't showed up. Come to find that the person assigned to me as my agent, had gone on leave, and the truck is delayed and will deliver my car on a different day. The first person I spoke to tried to deflect the responsibility of calling the trucking company on me but, finally spoke to a different person who apologized for the original agent for not making the proper coordinations while In the middle of my move. Felicia & Auto Shipping Group have helped me successfully ship two vehicles before (one from Florida to NoCal; the other from SoCal to Oregon), so when I needed a classic car transported from northern Nevada to southern Arizona, I naturally contacted them again.  ASG's process and Felicia are amazing!  I cannot recommend them more highly. Within minutes of completing ASG's webform, I received an email quote, a text confirmation & a phone call from Felicia.  She is -- at the same time -- so professional, friendly, funny, and capable; I have no doubt that my order is being taken care of.  Because I'd used ASG twice before, Felicia said this order would be getting a discount.  Sweet! Due to the coronapocalypse-related supply chain & labor problems, ASG wasn't able to locate a carrier who was running from Navel Lint, NV, to Toejam, AZ, within my timeframe.  Nonetheless, Felicia regularly kept me up to date on her progress and quickly cancelled my order with enough time for me to make flight & hotel arrangements and take care of the relo the old fashioned way (driving through the desert). Just don't do it! I was trying to ship my son's vehicle from California to Louisiana and Maila said it was no problem, she reminded me that she had been doing this for 17 years. She explained the process and said they needed a deposit to reserve the driver@ $257.50 (reputable companies do not request funds up front). Because I didn't know to smell a scam in this industry, I gave the funds. They responded with a new quote that was $500 over the first quote. I immediately emailed and asked them to cancel the pick-up. They cancelled, but conveniently kept the deposit. Now Ms. Maila won't answer my calls or emails. Also, no one will answer their main line. I requested an investigation with my credit card company and they refunded the funds for my stupidity. Just say "no@ to ASG. read more

I was transporting my car Florida to Hawaii. When my car got to california to go to Hawaii, I had issues with having a subwoofer and my front bumper being below 6". This was never mentioned anywhere in any documentation or checklists that I received through email. So when I was already flying to Hawaii, I could not deal with this in person. I was charged an extra $350 to have it removed and delivered the next day, because the carrier decided to arrive at Maton's closing time. On top of that, the pricing did not match the quote at all. From what I remember the quote was around $1700-$1850. Whereas I had to pay around $2200 plus the $350, plus losing the subwoofer($120) and front bumper($500-$600). Also I was told there would be some sort of Veterans discount, but nope, did not get one. So I got fucked there. Matson nor ASG have not been of any help. No one wants to take fault. And even though they told me "Personal belongings be removed". I had left a blanket, pillow, shades, paper towel, magazines in the car, OH but the subwoofer was considered a personal belonging. That had to be removed, and not those other things. I guess it was pick and choose what was to be removed - I guess they picked the valuable item. They told me it was loose and could be shifted...Well no shit right? The subwoofer would and does not move on it's own even during driving, unless you move it with your own damn hands. Keep in mind, subwoofer enclosures are 98% of the time not bolted into the trunk at all, so I don't even know what that means.... Just overall a feeling of disgust of the human race once again and feeling scammed. read more

If you want to be charged more than the quoted/contact price for pick up/delivery days after agreed upon date with horrible communication and incompetent customer service then this is the place for you. 05/17 Contacted them for quote to transport a car from Camp Verde, AZ to Tucson, AZ (about 220 miles) - was quoted $600 for pick up on Saturday 5/20 with drop off on Sunday 5/21. Deposit of $300 to be charged automatically to my credit card at pick up with balance of $300 to be paid by cash/money order/cashiers check to driver at drop off. Agreed to terms, they sent a contract for this amount with 5/20 date, we signed and gave them credit card info for deposit. 05/20 Did not hear from anyone - called to check on status and was told not to worry that Travis had been working on it and we would get our vehicle and to contact Travis for status. We called and left several voicemails with no response. Sunday 5/21 we text Travis and received a response stating they were working on finding us a carrier but at that point still had not secured a carrier. This was the day after vehicle was supposed to be picked up. 05/22 Text at 8am because we still had not heard anything from Travis. Kim text back shortly and said that they werent able to find a carrier with the price we were quoted and that if we wanted the service it was going to be $900 not $600.Followed up around 11am with a phone call.Around 2:30 received a text from Travis that they were still working on finding a carrier. 05/23 Texted Travis about the additional fee. They agreed to lower it to $750. We were desperate at this point as the seller was going out of town and we were already 4 days passed when we were supposed to have vehicle picked up so begrudgingly agreed to the additional $150. 05/24 Vehicle was supposed to be picked up by 4pm. 4pm came and went - we contacted the number given to us for driver and guy had no idea what we were talking about. Called Travis again. Finally around 8:30pm vehicle was picked up. We were never given correct contact info for driver. 05/25 Text Travis for drivers info in AM to see what time they would arrive as we needed to take more time off work to be available for drop off. No response so contacted vehicle seller who thankfully took drivers info. Vehicle was delivered on this day. 05/27 Received a text from Travis with drivers info. 2 days after delivery had been completed. . This place not only quoted one price but charged us $150 over their quote (they tried to charge us $300 over quoted price but settled for $150) for their errors not ours and their customer service is completely lacking. Travis was extremely incompetent. Steer clear of this company. read more

I needed to ship a van and a motorcycle to Kauai. We spoke to Felicia and she assured us that everything would go smoothly. She told us that they prove motorcycle skids in the cost of shipping, which turned out to not be the case. This severely hurt us because when the time came, the company did not prove skids, and we would have to make our own. Three stars are being given because while Felicia may not of had all of the information needed, the customer service was not terrible and we got our van shipped safely. Our van did take more time than was additionally quoted, but I am not sure that is the fault of the company. Overall I am not thrilled with my experience, but I did get one of my vehicles here safely. They definitely need to better inform their staff on shipping procedures and policies. read more

Scheduled a date to have a car picked up. They were supposed to call the day prior, never did. We called them, they told us to start calling the trucker, whose phone went to a full voice mail box. Called the coordinator again, he said truckers are hard to reach. Day of we didn't hear from anyone, finally called the coordinator, he asked why we didn't call sooner. He told us he'd call back in 15 minutes, never did. The day came and went, the car is still in our driveway, and we're on the other coast now. Update: They tried to pick up the car on day 2 and again failed. Last time I spoke to the driver was 8pm and he was hours away, said he'd arrive around 11:30pm. Never showed up. This is an extremely unreliable company. Do not use them. read more

First off this company sounded great they would get me a discount on my shipping from Hawaii to the mainland and then pick it up at the port in Long Beach CA and ship it to Ohio to the door for me is what I was told and what might of likely happened if I chose to go with them. Well the day came and I called to book at the rate they gave me, all is still going good. Then this is where things got fishy they could only accept credit card for their fee they said then I may or may not have to pay the driver once he drops it off. The lady Stephanie was rude once I told her I didn't want to ship with them, and insisted that Yelp wasn't accurate so I hope they don't mind me leaving a review if its not accurate and all and people don't read it either. It's September 21st and they have not refunded us the money. Today I had three disappointing conversations with Auto Shipping Group. The first was with Felicia who is a sales rep. Felicia started the conversation impatiently and by the end became very rude. She accused me of not knowing what I am doing. She pushed for names of who I have been contacting and where I was getting my information. When I extended my right to not revile my sources due to how uncomfortable she was making me feel with her forcefulness the conversation begin to turn for the worse. She continued to push me to pay the driver in cash even though I have already stated that cash was not an option. I had to stop her when she said to hide the cash or money order in the car if I can't withdraw money upon receiving the car. I told her that I can't imagine this solution would be the most secure. That is when she told me to go do my research and hung up on me. The second conversation is when I called the company back to give them a forewarning that I will be submitting a review to BBB and to give them a chance to explain their side of things. Brandon was on the phone and instantly begin to raise his voice. I understand when you want to defend your co-worker but his tone was very rude and he also went on a rant about how I do not know what I am doing and that I should be grateful for Falicia's frankness. I personally have dealt with many frank sales rep in this industry and Falicia's behavior was beyond frank. Brandon said I have no bases to submit a review and that I am just being childish to complain. I stated that it is my right to submit my truthful review and customer service alone warrants a review. Brandon also ended the conversation by hanging up on me. The last call was from the regional director. He called from a private number would not give me his name. He's response after I asked for his name was basically along the lines of "I'm going to end this call after I say my piece so there's no need to tell you my name." During this third conversation the director called me stupid and immature and yelled at me during the whole conversation. He did not allow me a chance to speak and tried to intimating me out of submitting a review. I find this company to be extremely unprofessional and the customer service is beyond awful. Order #1056035 Beware! Run, don't walk, elsewhere! Poor experience. Poor coordination. Poor communication. Cannot believe they're in business. No information/updates were ever pushed to customer. Customer had to pull every (false) update along the way. Broker will claim it's out of their control and at-fault is the transporter/driver. Well perhaps, but they chose low integrity business partners and/or employees to provide the 360 degree poor service. Auto was picked up Friday the 10th to be delivered Mon the 13th. Mon pushed to Wed. Wed pushed to Thur afternoon. Thur afternoon pushed to Thur evening "around 6pm". Still no-show, no-call. Fri the 17th 9:14am VM indicating auto is en route and driver will call in a couple of hours. Email at 12:31pm indicating driver en route and has contacted me. Still no contact. Fri 3:00pm I contact driver who indicates 90 minutes to delivery.... Truck arrived at 4:33 in good condition, but driver tried to collect additional $1,000.00 COD even though transport was pre-paid in full. read more

Given 4/5 stars because while this was not a great experience, it was far better than experiences I had with other auto transport companies (I got quotes from 4 before deciding to use ASG). Auto transport is shady as hell. I used ASG to broker the transport of my Toyota from Florida to Oregon. I first had a conversation with Kim, who stood out from agents I had spoken to at other companies because she WASN'T pushy, just knowledgable and easy to reach via texting, email, or phone. We arranged and agreed upon a pickup day, and I paid my down-payment. I was given carrier information for the carrier that would be transporting my vehicle, and then I awaited pickup day. Which came and went with no communication from the carrier who was supposed to move my vehicle. When I reached out, the carrier said they had no record of my vehicle needing to be transported, which did not make me happy. I called Kim, who said some paperwork had "gotten lost" (I have no idea if this issue was with ASG, or with the broker), and then the issue was sorted out, with a new pickup date (within 24 hours) within 90 minutes. Fine. My car was delivered to me 2 days later than expected, which was annoying, but not a big issue for me, and lack of communication regarding vehicle delivery had more to do with the carrier company than with ASG. TL,DR: This company was my favorite company out of an industry that seems to be made of shady companies, primarily because they communicated promptly and clearly, and were not pushy. Would recommend as a necessary inconvenience. read more

Auto Shipping Group, Inc is a terrible company. They are a lead generation business, so you pay them to pick a carrier company and they are accountable for nothing... zero. You work with them but you do not, really. They don't care about your business, they disappear the moment they charge you their fee and no matter what kind of service you get from the carrier THEY choose, they have zero accountability. Just to be clear, Auto Shipping Group do not have accountability because they do not care. All they do is moving papers around, companies such as this should not exists. Auto Shipping Group is a parasite... if at least they would take care of you and shield customers against those semi-animals of the actual carriers, that perhaps would be a value worth paying for. Long story short, my vehicle arrived two days late, and the vehicle was damaged. I had to get the vehicle assessed by an insurance adjuster and an auto body shop. Now, neither ASG nor the driver is taking ownership and I am out of $1,0000 it will take to get the vehicle repaired. My story is real. Stay away from this company. read more

Text and called at least 5 times before I had to track down the carriers number and find out what time/day car was getting picked up. After I brought her lack of communication to her attention she was wrote back an text where she seemed upset and I never heard from the company again. The ASG representative, Tige Yergin, pretty much said I was out of luck and had to pay for the damage myself. My car went from VA to AZ and was scratched and stained when it arrived. I don't review often, but this needed to be here. I could go into how unresponsive the company was and how rude their transporters were, but let's just leave it at: my car was roughed up permanently by using these guys. I'm sure it;s not every case, as you can tell by some positive reviews, but I was treated really badly by the company and now I have to pay damages. This man takes advantage of his customers telling them things need to be fixed when in fact they don't and overcharges them for everything. He also scams his employees by trying to pay them under the table and even convinced them to let him pay them by credit card by one of their apps and he then files disputes with his credit card company saying that he did not authorize the charges. Classic 'Bait & Switch' In trying to get my daughter's car from Athens, GA to Boulder, CO, I was quoted $850 but wound up paying $1070 because "it's a difficult route - take it or leave it".. Brandon was less than helpful and spent more time providing demeaning excuses than actually finding a carrier - somewhat abrasive and condescending to be nice about it. The 'scheduled' pickup was never scheduled until multiple phone calls to the company itself - we finally made contact with the actual transport company (Tony, the transport driver did an awesome job in working with us) and wound up meeting the carrier about halfway to the Atlanta airport on I-20 which resulted in having minutes to spare in catching our flight back home... nerve racking to say the least - definitely one of the more stressful and unpleasant experiences. I needed to have a truck I purchased sight unseen, from Kansas to Washington State. I was very stressed over choosing the right shipping company after reading so many terrible reviews with all companies. I ended up choosing Auto Shipping Group after speaking with Gretchen. She was professional, friendly and answered all of my questions clearly, she also contacted me via a local number. She kept me in the know throughout the entire process from a carrier picking up my transport to following up once delivered. Pricing was fair, just over $2000, which was right the middle of my quotes that ranged from $1500-$3000. The truck was picked up as scheduled and dropped at my house three days later. The truck was also transported in an enclosed trailer, which as a great bonus. What started as such a worrisome process ended up going great.
