We recently bought a 2008 Ford F150 pick up truck from Amir and Dennis at auto source of Texas. The truck was experiencing problems with the rear differential within the first week of ownership. I bought the truck as is with no warranty however, Amir repaired the truck with no additional cost to me. BEFORE YOU BUY FROM AUTO SOURCE OF TEXAS, PLEASE READ THIS I wish someone had warned me before I purchased my truck here. I bought a 2015 Ram 3500 after being told it was "one owner," "road ready," in excellent condition, and had received a "fine tooth inspection by certified technicians." Based on those representations, I wired $39,513.20 in full before taking possession. What happened afterward has been a nightmare. An independent diesel inspection identified extensive mechanical and safety-related problems and characterized the truck as a "high-risk purchase," with necessary repairs potentially approaching or exceeding $20,000. When I asked Auto Source of Texas for the inspection documentation supporting the "fine tooth inspection" I had been told about, they would not provide it. The paperwork raised even more concerns. Despite paying in full by wire transfer, my documents showed an "UNPAID BALANCE" of $38,111.36 and referenced a "Primary Loan." A later receipt contained a loan ID, account number and an ACH payment even though I never applied for dealership financing and did not make an ACH payment. As I investigated further, I discovered additional serious discrepancies involving the vehicle's title history, VIN information, prior ownership and mileage. I have since filed a federal lawsuit regarding this transaction, where these allegations and the supporting documentation can be addressed through the legal process. I'm sharing my experience for one reason: I don't want another buyer to go through this. If you're considering purchasing here, just don't .... Or at least please protect yourself. Get your own independent mechanical inspection. Pull your own title and vehicle-history records. Verify the VIN and mileage. Read every document carefully. And get every representation made about the vehicle in writing. Do all of that BEFORE you send your money. I learned that lesson the hard way. read more

Took 90 days to get emissions sticker and was told they couldn't mail it to me because of postage expense. Lesson is stay away from dirty shakey places like this and go to the used car department of franchised dealers. read more

I saw this car online and flew from California to Texas with the hope and expectation that it would match my needs and being in good shape. When I arrived, I was a little nervous because the place didn't look that great and they had a bunch of cars sand into very small lot, but the car checked out it was exactly as advertised and quite frankly I was impressed that it was so good. I decided to drive the car home back to and it performed flawlessly. I did read a review from another out of state customer who had a problem with registration in their state. I'm still waiting for mine....we'll see. read more

I purchased a vehicle in full from Auto Source of Texas on 10/30/24. After many weeks of phone calls I kept getting the run around. Today is 5/19/25 and Auto Source of Texas still has yet to provide me with the title and plates for a vehicle I purchased six months ago. I've filed a complaint with the DMV that is still being investigated. Auto Source of Texas has failed to comply the Texas Transportation Code 501.0234, which requires a motor vehicle dealer to apply for title in the purchaser's name within 30 days of sale. They've finally told me they have the title but I've yet to see it and Auto Source of Texas is declining to reimburse me for the full legal costs I've incurred in an attempt to force them into giving me what was legally owed to me upon purchase. I would highly discourage anyone from using Auto Source of Texas, its possible you could end up like me... six months without a title or plates, in possession of a vehicle I can't sell, can't legally drive, and unreimbursed legal costs. read more

Literally the most exhausting and frustrating car buying experience of my life. My son and I bought a vehicle here and needed it to be registered out of state (my son is serving in the USAF). No one at the dealership knew how to deal with an out of state registration and acted like it was some complex process for them and an inconvenience. The lack of communication and utter rudeness, when they did communicate, was the final straw for us. You don't treat people the way they did. Not just my son and I, but the poor lady at the MVD in Arizona who also had to tell them how to do their jobs. They sent the incorrect paperwork, not once, but twice, and then wanted us to pay excess registration fees because it was taking so long for them to get it right. 5 months later, the car is finally registered. We will never be back to this dealership and will actively warn family in friends, both in Texas and in the military, to avoid this place at all costs. Jennifer and Eddie, do better for your customers. Believe it or not, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS your job, and the two of you leave a lot to be desired in that department. read more

They refused to help resolve this issue, so I hired a legal team and presently pursuing a law suit. They purchase junk cars from auctions, patch them up and pass them on to innocent consumers. Con artist is a good name for the entire staff at this dealership. Save yourself alot of time and heartache. I bought a Range Rover and traded in an Escalade. It has been 30 days and the loan on my trade-in still hasn't been paid off. I contacted the dealership and they have not replied. On a side note, my car also needs $5,282.90 worth of repairs that should have been evident to the dealer, not including the cosmetic damages/missing parts and the tires we had to replace. They also forgot to get the vehicle inspected before selling it to me. None of the imperfections were shown in photos. To the contrary, the photos intentionally hid them, and through multiple phone calls they were not mentioned. Basically, this dealership offers good prices but the vehicles are in poor condition. It's worth getting a mechanic inspection before purchasing. And don't give them a trade-in if you have an outstanding loan or you'll be making payments on both loans for a while. read more

I recently purchased a Jaguar F-Type R from these guys. The experience was great. They were responsive, organized, not a lot of back be forth, and I was in and out within an hour. The car is great and it's exactly what what was represented. I buy vehicles pretty frequently and in response the previous review, a lot of used car companies have shell companies in Montana or at least the smart ones do. It's not a scam, it's perfectly legal, and it does save them money in sales tax which contributes to them being able to sell the car to you for less. On November 4, 2021 we bought a used 2021 Tesla Model Y from Johnny Najera at Auto Source of Texas. The car was in generally good condition, aside from some major gouges inside the back trunk.But getting the title, tags, and an accurate lineage of ownership has been a nightmare. We were told one story before we drove several hours to look at and buy it. It was listed as having 682 mi. on it, we were told that it was bought by the company's owner, who used for a short time before deciding to get a Model X instead. Then he put it up for sale there, in his own dealership. When we got there, the mileage was 711 miles, which wasn't explained. Rather than there being a separate closing/title person for the purchase, the whole thing was handled by Johnny, the sales person. They put on a temporary tag and took it to be inspected. We were told that they would immediately file the registration and we should get our tags in a couple of weeks. After several weeks without receiving the tags, we called back and were told that Tesla had the title, that they were waiting for Tesla to send it to them... and we would just have to be patient. We contacted our DMV who said there had been nothing filed for this vehicle regarding the purchase. We called Tesla, and they said they never have possession of any titles, it is the financial institution that has them. We called Johnny back, and were told he would look into it and to give him another two weeks. A month later, we still had not received the tags, and Johnny said that our temporary tag was still good, so "don't worry". He implied that "the state" is slow doing things. But we called "the state", and they had not received anything. Our temporary tag expired on January 3, 2022, and we again called Johnny, who then sent us an incorrect, bogus, and unsigned falsely dated sales agreement (wrong owners, wrong dates) along with a new temporary tag based on the new bogus sales form. We called again and insisted on knowing when we would get our plates, and he said to give him yet another 2 weeks. He said that it turned out that the car wasn't owned by who he thought, and didn't know where the title was. He said that we were "fine" with the new falsified temporary tag. We called again to protest the "manufactured" sales form and "new" 2nd temporary tag when we received them, and were told again that he now didn't know who originally owned the car or where the title was, but to give him yet another two weeks. In the mean time, our financing institution contacted us to say that, as they have not received the title, our financing was in jeopardy. We began doing our own research into the lineage of the vehicle, and found evidence of that VIN everywhere from NY to just last week Montana. We called yet again (as he wouldn't return email messages), and he was now testy, and didn't want to be bothered with this issue. He said he would get with his title manager, Eddie, who would call us that day. When he didn't call, we figured out who Eddie was, and called him the following day. We reached him, but he told us that he couldn't talk, as there was a gas leak there! We called again the next day, and did reach Eddie. Eddie said not to worry about the bogus temporary tag, that "everyone does it", and we should just show the bogus purchase agreement if we got stopped. He said that it had been registered in Montana, and he would send the tags when he got them. We called Montana DMV who said that our vehicle (which we have owned for 2 1/2 months) was just registered there a few days ago (clearly with bogus paperwork, as whoever registered it did not own the car), and on 1/5/22 the DMV sent out the title to the "owner"...they wouldn't say who, but said it was not mailed to Texas. It turns out that Montana is a well known no car sales tax haven. So, although we paid them sales tax (Auto Source), they registered it without having to pay tax on it. Only the legal owner (or selling agency at the time of sale) should be able to register a vehicle. But 2 1/2 months AFTER selling the car, SOMEONE registered it in Montana. Montana requires proof of ownership and insurance coverage on the vehicle, none of which they could have had, as we owned it. Evidently the scam is that you can set up an LLC in Montana online, and register the vehicle there, thus avoiding sales tax. We STILL do not know who the original owner was, or how they were allowed to do this bogus, after the fact registration, as MT claims you must establish the chain of ownership. Since WE owned the car when it was registered in MT, they would have no way of knowing the current milage or insurance information, both of which were required for the registration. We currently have about 2300 miles on it, but they stated it was 15 miles. Montana DMV implied it would have been mailed to the Montana address listed for the "owner". We are about to lose our financing, and still we have no plates. Buy here at your own risk read more
