I was looking for someone to reupholster the interior of my 1961 Chevy Impala. I've been building this project for five years so it' was really really important that whoever was going to do it was gonna do it classy. When I first walked into the shop, no one really greeted me because they were so busy working on cars. I was greeted by George who I believe is the owner. George took a look at my car and went over some options on colors and different types of leather. Although it took quite a while for me to get a spot since he is busy once. George promised me two weeks and George delivered. We had an issue with some of the leather colors, not matching the red I wanted, George went out of his way and found a vendor in England and I cannot say how happy I am with how it turned out. I was actually referred to this place by my mechanic. I showed up, got a quote, and was real excited. I was looking for a boot install on my 6-9. Went back and was blown off because there was no room...and that's when i noticed how disorganized the whole place actually was. And only one poor dude working in the shop. Past reviews made me hesitant but I trust my mechanic and he recommended me this place. Experience went great, called for a quote, made an appointment, showed up to my appointment promise time but they were a few minutes late. I always recommend people to call to confirm the appointment promise time so you don't drive far just for them not to be there. Alex was the guy who was helpful and installed my soft top on my Honda S2000. Everything came out great once installation was finished. Overall I would trust this place with installation of a new soft top especially with a rare car and they don't charge an arm and a leg compared to other places. read more

George took my seats and my deposit, he gave my seats to another job that went out of business and my seats are gone! During this time he never returned calls. I sued him in court and won, he has never paid me. He has now repeatedly promised to send me some money but has not made good on it. He also asked me to remove my review if he starts paying me. He had several other bad reviews with similar horror stories but he convinced them to remove their bad reviews so he can make some money and pay them back. he's a thief and a liar, do NOT go to this shop! read more

Had a 2007 VW Beetle Convertible shipped to CA from a used car dealer in Arizona. The cloth top installation by the Arizona dealer was, to be charitable, an unmitigated mess. AJ assessed the damage, gave a temporary fix to the old top which significantly cut down the wind noise when the top was up. He ordered a new one and, once it arrived, installed it in my driveway. My fiance called on Thursday to take my s2000 in to get a small tear in the soft top taken care of before we left this weekend on a trip. They told him to come in Saturday at 9am and they can fix it. He just went to the shop, lights in the shop are one, someone is in the back, but security door is closed. He calls to say that he is out front and some guy named George picks up the phone and tells him that they are not open today and that they cannot fix it. Why would you have someone waste their time to drive out there when you told them to and apparently you aren't open today?! And your hours listed on here say you're open today too, so this is really confusing. Wow, way to do business guys. Especially when you came highly recommended by people on the s2ki website. read more

I was very disappointed with their service. I dropped off boat parts to be re-upholstered. He originally told me it would be one week. I gave him a deposit. After a few weeks they hadn't even ordered my upholstery and foam. I called every couple of weeks to check on progress and most of the time they did not even answer my call. When he did he continued to say he would have it in a week. It reminded me of a Seinfeld episode in the Chinese restaurant. After a couple of months with my Summer ruined (no boat to use during the pandemic), i told Jorge the I wanted my deposit and parts back. He refused to return my deposit. In order to avoid a trip to small claims court; I offered for him to give me the fabric that he ordered. He agreed. I picked up my stuff, and instead of an apology for the unprofessional conduct, he let me know that the fabric cost $20 more than my deposit. I would have rather had my deposit and an apology. Time is money, I wish I went elsewhere. Just to balance this review; I had used them once before and I was very satisfied. I won't use them again, I think I was patient enough. Very disappointed, I was looking to be able to use them for years. I'm trying another place. I hope they are more professional. read more

I could've given them a NO Star. People are nice. Upholstery job on my seats were done very decently. HOWEVER they definitely needed more workers, efficiency is really really bad. I also replaced my convertible top on my car. Fitment is really awful as well as the material and price. They did it quick. BUT, within 3 month, the top started tearing apart. I have been there multiple times but they never replaced nor they seemed to reordered the new top. I finally came here today that the boss AJ told me a week ago. And Guess WHAT? He's out of the Country! Nor the part is here to reinstall! I don't get mad anyhow BUT I AM REALLY PISSED OFF! They will never call u if u ran into some problem from the aftermath! I HAVE MY PHONE number left there numerous times and they ask me again every time I was there. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED! AJ if you see this. I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. They are AWESOME!! I can't say enough good things. I was devastated when I ripped the back seat of my 2013 Lexus GS350. I left some glassware in the back of my seat for the longest time and from readjusting my seat back and forth, the back of my driver seat rubbed up on my glassware which caused the tear. I was bummed because this is my first luxury vehicle and I do the best to take care of it. I didn't want to take my car to Lexus because God knows they would have charged an arm and a leg. So I found these guys on yelp! I called and spoke to George. I texted him a picture of the back of my seat because I wanted an approximate price. He was able to quote me and at such a reasonable price!! I couldn't believe it! I took my car to him that day and he removed the back of my seat to work his magic. I could have waited an hour but I came back the next day and the back of my seat is as good as new! It's as if it never ever happened! So honest and affordable. This shop really is disappointing with there customer service. We came in for a simple upholstery work. He was showing us some samples and said it would take a couple of days to get and a few days to finish after. Two weeks goes by no phone call so we call him and he can't find the paper work but eventually does which means he never ordered the material he said it would be another week. We did not hear from him so called again and said make an appointment for next week it will be ready. I asked him what was the delay and why no phone call. His answer which should of been a little nicer was I'm busy do you want me to still do it or what!! I'm like seriously after the wait time and not being a bit apologetic and extremely rude. I went back to pick up my deposit. Don't want to deal with people like this. Glad you're busy to Jorge but learn to deal with your customer appropriately as you're not all that!!!! read more

TL:DR - Don't bring your s2000 here. Better yet, just don't bring anything here at all...honestly... I hardly ever go on Yelp to write these reviews, but I felt like I needed to for this place. I'll try to give my review in a professional capacity, despite leaving this place very infuriated by the "service" I was given. I brought my S2000 to have the soft top replaced. First of all, the seeming owner, George, gives off the impression that everyone that goes to him for his services are pestering him or annoying him. Gives off a " I don't really have time for you" type of attitude. I'm the type who is very meticulous about things and very hesitant about letting others touch my car, but installing a soft top is out of my skillset. So, I read some positive yelp reviews of other S2000 owners getting their soft tops replaced here and decided to give them a shot. I should have never come here. Problems: 1) They left the drilled-out rivets everywhere in my car, especially under the soft top tray (an area that is very difficult to get to without taking out the entire soft top). So now, I have metal bits and pieces clinking around in my car. RATTLES EVERYWHERE. 2) They didn't even install the defroster wiring harness onto the glass window. This isn't a huge deal, but goes to show you the "attention" to detail they have... 3) The biggest problem of all: They split open my roll hoop cover on my driver's side. The S2000 plastic hoop covers are plastic welded together (not fastened by any clips) from factory and aren't meant to be taken apart. Once taken apart, they will never be put together in the same way as Honda intended it to be (something proven by trial and error by the online S2000 community). The only way to fix this is to replace the entire roll hoop and roll hoop cover as 1 piece... I was told not to open the soft top for a couple of days to let the fabric stretch, so I only discovered the issue after I put the soft top down. I take the car back to let them know they messed up, even though part of me knew they wouldn't take any responsibility. I was right. George denied ever touching the part (which is bull) and tried to give me the run around saying that "his installer" who worked on my car wasn't in. Then he says he was the one who installed it. Then it was them both installing it at the same time. He offered to put silicone adhesive to it, but it is a band-aid fix to my problem. He explicitly stated he would not replace anything and denied any wrong doing. Ridiculous. By the way, this is a 180 dollar part brand new... 4) The top has too much tension on the left compared to the right when trying to latch. Might be due to a misalignment of the fabric. 5) The top doesn't create a perfect seal. I don't want to get into the small details of this..... In conclusion, this place is not at all what I expected it to be. Definitely don't want to come back here again... Even if my soft top fails and I need to claim warranty through this place, I'd rather buy a completely new soft top and get it installed somewhere else than to deal with this place. read more

He was honest and explained what he was going to do and charged me accordingly. I have been coming here since 1996 and with every car had something something done. Toyota Celica convertible had the back window replaced back in 1996, VW Passat had the front seat reupholstered in black leather and now my Audi convertible newest the elastics stretched. He is doing a wonderful job as usual. Have to say that I was referred to another place by a good friend of mine where the quoted me a price to do the same thing for 7 times more than what they are charging me here. Yes 7 !!!
