I wanted him to inspect my brakes and explained that my parking brake needed repair. I left my car and he told me he would call me when the car was completed. I received a call 2 hours later and was told my car was ready. He told me that my brakes were like knew and that nothing needed to be done. He took care of the parking brake and he helped me with some additional questions I had. The repair was fast and done at a reasonable rate. I brought in my Honda Ridgeline for an issue with my AC. Jason worked with me at the front-desk and went above and beyond to understand my issue and the troubleshooting I had already done. He explained to me CONCISELY what the feasible issue may be, and how they were going to approach a diagnosis. Jason was extremely knowledgeable, and followed up promptly to discuss the fix. Pedro was also exceptional. He found the issue (rodent-chewed wires) and repaired it perfectly. When I picked up my car, he was as excited as I was to have helped me. Before Miramar Auto, I took my truck to the Honda dealer, and they charged twice as much for a diagnosis, only to tell me that I would need a new compressor (incorrect diagnosis) and that it would cost twice as much as I ended up paying out the door at Miramar auto. I visited their shop and Skot was honest and provided great customer service ! He was quite honest with the initial inspection of my hood. Looks like some kind of chemical spilled on my hood and left permanent scratches throughout. No bueno. He tried to use a chemical liquid to see if that would help remove it without going to the extent of repainting the whole hood. This would also save me money. He also offered to try other methods to see if it would help. I appreciated his honesty and expertise. Importantly, they didn't pressure me in getting any of the services done right away. They also can work with your availability, which is great with my crazy schedule. Skot informed me that this was more of a cosmetic fix and I shouldn't worry about my engine. I decided to hold off on it for a while until I get other issues on my car resolved. I do plan on going through them if I do decide to get cosmetic work done on it. It was short-term communication, but I was content and satisfied. I'll have to update my review in the future with more details on any services done. The point man I spoke to for updates will talk and talk and talk and talk....sometimes about your car's progress other times about SeaWorld or Balboa Park. I still can't tell if the guy was genuinely super nice and maybe a bit over personable or if he was f'ing with me. The car drove great when I finally got it back, but I simply felt it took way too long to complete the work.
