If I could give a double zero rating for Auto Zone at 5771 N Fry Rd Katy, TX I would. Those people especially the manager and that whites girl are a POS!! I went there yesterday for coolant but had EMT and police called on me. I was silently crying and not disturbing anyone. That girl called me to the back to have a seat while she found a mechanic. I did foa a minute, but chose to sit in car instead. The next thing I know here comes the EMT and police who they called. They claimed I was disturbing their business by acting irrationally like I was having a nervous breakdown or some shit. Then they lied on me say I was asking for free things and then banned me from the store. Some real low-down ass people. I got banned for no legit reason. All this because I was crying. Over the past 5 years, I've purchased multiple batteries for multiple cars and many other products from autozone. I've never had any issue with autozone...quite the opposite until I purchased a Platinum Battery from the store on Westheimer parkway in Katy several months ago. To start with, my wife purchased the battery for me and I had her buy their best one. I put the battery in and it had zero charge and I took it back immediately. The store manager basically acted like I stole the battery, but reluctantly switched it out. I went up there today because my battery had lost the charge as I hadn't driven it in some time and he immediately accused me of doing this before and said the issues was with my car and that I had done this several months ago when he gave me a zero charge battery for crying out loud. He reluctantly agrees to charge the battery for me and when I picked up they said the battery was no good. Guess what, I put it back in my Yukon and it was fine. The kicker is that this time he removed the sticker that identify the battery. Guess how I know? I took a picture of the battery. Steer clear of this store...very odd behavior and terrible customer service. Why me...you just lost a loyal customer. read more

I didn't actually purchase anything here, but I stopped in to have my battery tested as it seemed like it could be a possible reason for a few issues I was seeing. My wife's car battery died yesterday, and I went to Auto Zone to buy a new battery. A woman working at the counter noticed that the old battery was from Auto Zone. She promptly informed me that they need to do a mandatory charge for 1.5 hours and do a battery test. I left and came back about 4 hours later. She did the battery test and the battery show 73% capacity. I asked her to do the test again. The battery capacity dropped to 54%. She insisted that the battery is fine. She also suggest that the alternator may be faulty, and I should consider replacing it. I went home put the old battery back on the car. The battery was very dead by next day. I took the battery out again and made a second attempt to buy a battery. A men looked up the old battery and said it was out of warranty. I bought a new battery and got my wife's car running again. This would be a lot more than 1 star experience if I don't have to make multiple trips and taking out and put in the battery multiple times. In hind sight, I probably should have asked to talk to the manager or at least speak to someone who knows what they are doing. read more

so i was just here with my father that was fixing the air conditioning in my car. He asked on of the guys (don't know his name) (tattoo on his right arm, black skinny jeans, caucasian) a quick question to see if he could help him out because, of course, because my father isn't aware of some of the things that entailed in him fixing the car. The man rudely ignored my dad more than once, answered very dry and disrespectful, and continued to talk to another man while my dad needed help. This man was helping someone, but while my father asked he was just standing around. He than went inside and didn't even look to see if he could help. aren't these people supposed to provide assistance when asked. The manager was helpful and nice. read more

Possibly the most unhelpful, rude, and uninterested member of staff in any retail/service based environment I have ever experienced. It seems like this individual (male) believes potential customers are a burden to him, based on the lack of passion for his job and desire of wanting to assist. There are so many people out there searching for employment, that can be trained, and would truly appreciate their customers and their individual role at this organization. The manager went above and beyond helping me replace the lightbulb in my car. My car is kind of old and one employee tried to unscrew the bulb but it was stuck like glue and the manager came out and spent probably 20 minutes doing it and continued to finish it even after the store closed at 10, which was super nice of him. I came into the store after 7:00pm in a driving rain storm. Emmanuel assisted me in getting a new battery put into my car. I had other concerns because my power steering was going out. Emmanuel took the time to check under the hood and took all the steps needed to get me back up and running for my drive home. As a single mature woman, Emmanuel's service was greatly appreciated and won't be forgotten. When someone goes above and beyond I like to sing many praises.
