I actually like this car but as they should know me, I went to the Subaru dealer and found out someone reset a couple lights. So when I got it all that was on was lights pertaining to the ABS and brakes. I found out that the transmission is going. When I told Ken about this issue, he showed me a photo of a messed up Honda Accord and told me they want me to give them an extra $2000 for a new down payment. Not good. Not good AT ALL. I arrived at this place to look for a car. I didn't expect to find a new Mercedes or anything because...well...look at the lot, but I expected a vehicle to go from point A to point B. When I arrived, the salesman I made the appointment with (Ken) was not there, and I had learned that he is rarely present. Another salesman (Brandon) who works with Ken seemed annoyed because he was already swamped with work. I told him what Ken instructed me to do, and he was taken aback by what I had told him. He pointed out an Infinti QX60 2015 and said it should be ready to drive (I had already been there for about an hour) Fast forward 10 days, and the vehicles transmission blew on me. I had to tow it back to the lot ($95) and it took them 2 months to repair. No one called to say the car was ready. I drove by and saw it parked in a lot across the street, and I called Brandon to ask. Ten days after picking the car up, I sped back to that lot to drop off the vehicle again because the transmission was about to burn out a second time (Nov 2024). I repeatedly went back to get updates on the repairs, trying to work with the gentlemen and not get too worked up. The large gentleman that's always at the front desk would always inform me that it was simply not ready yet. To end this long, annoying saga, TODAY (Nov 2025) marks the one 1-year anniversary of me dropping of that truck to be repaired and it is still on that lift in their garage. read more

If I could rate -5 stars I WOULD! Long story short, STAY FAR AWAY. They tried to sell me a ford fusion that was keyed all over with ripped interior. I swiftly declined and they pointed me to a Chevy Trax. I liked the Trax and it seemed to be in decent shape. I wasn't able to test drive because it was buried in between other cars on the lot. I should've known something was off when the manager Chris requested cash or Zelle for the down payment and seemed annoyed that I wanted to use my card. The insurance was another hassle. Karla sold me overpriced insurance and charged me $20 cash to run my driving record or something? Never heard of that. She also told me that if anything happened with the car that I would be able to get a rental until it was repaired. I found out that was not true when I tried to get a rental from United Auto Insurance. Anyway, I finally get in the car to drive home after being here for at least two hours! I made it ONE block before the car started letting out a massive amount of smoke. It literally smoked up the ENTIRE block that I was on I instantly drove back to AutoMax and they informed me that I was smoking because it was just repaired and I needed to drive it until the smoke cleared. There's NO way I was taking that thing off the lot so they informed me they would repair it that same night and I should have it the next day. I wake up to a text saying that someone drove the car all night until the smoke was gone, but now the check engine light is on... I asked how long until I received the car, but he couldn't give me an answer. He (Ken) ultimately dodged my calls and barely responded to text messages. He would only respond just to say that they didn't give refunds LOL! I agree with another review about the aggression and look of the "sales reps." I felt like I was in prison. Also, I was told a different number of miles on the car than the car actually had. When they printed the contract, it had 191,000 miles and the life expectancy of this model is only 200,000 miles!!! WARNING! Stay away from these people. They got violent with me. The old man I believe is (the boss) Chris's father (the owner) got physical with me, ripped papers out of my hand, got in my face, cursed in my face. I was surrounded by 6 guys and they dam near jumped me. From the 6 guys 3-4 came forward and became forceful and even scratched me and made me bleed. I called the police and they said it wasn't worth the paperwork and that to police have visited this location multiple times for this same issue. I went to the Hollywood Automax located on 441/ State Road 7 to purchase a vehicle with a family member. They ended up scamming us for our deposit. We spoke to Carlos/GianCarlos and we arranged to purchase a Toyota Corolla that Carlos told us had 151,000 miles. After paying the deposit we were presented a contract for a car with 258,000 miles. We let him know we were not interested in a vehicle with 100,000 more miles than we agreed with and he immediately started attempting to strong arm us to sign the contract. We of course did not sign and asked for our deposit to be returned. Carlos let us know that we would not be getting our deposit back. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General and the department that licenses dealerships and I advise anyone else scammed by Automax in Hollywood to do the same. read more

I like this place because they didn't care about my credit score. More car dealers need to be like this place. I went on to see a Jeep Wrangler, but it was already sold. I fell like they should have someone to constantly update their website (sold cars). But I did get this Jeep Cherokee. I like they have free service but for where I live, that's cutting it if anything major happens. In this case, they should allow customers to choose their place of mechanical work and let them pay for the service or at least a portion of it. I didn't test drive this Jeep but took it to Arrigo Jeep for service and all it needed was the recall repaired and now the engine mount needs repairing. I was recommended this place and we're both regretting it. I had this car for less than 3 months. I purchased a vehicle and when I was heading home, the car was smelling like metal with a bunch of errors coming on dashboard. I was told to come back. One of the errors was about an oil change. They promised for 4 years they will do oil changes and everything. Chris ensured me the problems that I was experiencing was because it needed to be reset. I believed him. A couple days later, same issue. Mind you, I stayed up there for 8 hours prior to. I didn't have a problem waiting as I work remotely. The oil change wasn't done. I went back up there and was told it will definitely be done this time. Waited another 8 hours. Not a problem because again, I work remotely. I'm not the one to cause chaos. Many go up there yelling and ready to fight these people for how they treat you. When I expressed this to the boss, he told me "well you can go get your own oil change" . So, I'm thinking now it has been done. Thank God nothing happened to me. As I was driving on the expressway, my car completely shut down. I had it towed and they ran some test and told me my oil box was completely empty! & because I drove so long with no oil, it's costing over $1k dollars to fix. This could've been prevented had they did the oil change like they said. I would have never been driving around with no oil in my car. I'm a Lyft Driver. I have been with this dealer for a very long time. I have two cars with them. I never have issues except when I have to take it to the mechanic shop of theirs. I have done this twice since I have had the car for major problems. The first time I got the car a week later and smelled strong of pot. I was a surrogate at the time and can not be around any smoke or anything. After doing a deep clean I found a bag of drugs with a pipe under my driver seat. I informed the law and had them remove it. Then I informed them and was told that they took it to a place off site for something. Needless to say I let it be. I figure I wouldn't take the car back to their mechanic shop. Fast forward 3 years later. Covid hit so yes i did get behind on payments but still made them when I could. My car gave up on me. So i had it towed to them. 4 weeks later it still dose not run. I keep getting additude when I ask about it. I get different answers. The owner saids it does not run yet how when I brought it it had full tank of gas and not now? Its also moved to differ places. Also I went to go get my kids stuff out of it and car seats so I can use when I'm catching a ride. My sons ukulele I got him for Christmas is missing. The owner saids he has nothing to do with stuff in the car to go speak with another guy. My husband called about a couple of cars over the phone because we are not from the state of florida. These cars being inquired about for our teen daughter.
