You can tell this place is full of car enthusiasts! Tarnue (the best salesman I've encountered, bar none) was very responsive to all of my questions, which helped ease my worries, especially since this was my first out-of-state car purchase. I'm so grateful to have purchased my car at Automotive Imports! My husband and I were in desperate need of a second car. We did serious research on the cars we test drove and it felt like we drove over 100 during a two week stretch of searching lot after lot. This is place is made for car enthusiasts, the every day shopper like myself, and even the kiddos too. We arrived with the intention of test driving a BMW X5 3.0d. To our surprise they had a second we didn't see on the cars.com inventory for this dealership. So, great for us! We drove both, one a 2011 and the other a 2012. Both drove amazing and purred like a kitten. Mind you the models we test drove were diesel. Because we are extremely thorough in this big purchase we still had one more to drive at another dealership. A.I. was very relaxed and not biting at our heals to stay and play lets make a deal. They respected our decision in shopping around and let us go peacefully. Buuuutt we ended up coming back after our last horrible test drive with a POS. A.I. had the car for us. The 2012 BMW X5 3.0 was coming home with us...no more shopping. Yay! They have great inventory, an amazing in house auto shop, if your not lucky to find a sitter they have a great play area for tots and every kids dream of race car arcade games for free!! Wish I did bring my little guy. They priced the car to sell, even under KBB. Yet they still worked the numbers to meet our budget. Paperwork was smooth and they even threw in new floor mats for us. :) PLUS...they offer extended warranty options and in house protection for 3 months/3,000 miles. Um, Yes please! Literally the worst dealership I've ever set foot in. As soon as we walked in, the owner -- a rude and condescending person -- tried the hard sell. He tried to tell me that it's normal for a 2007 Porsche 911 to have five owners. He didn't answer me directly when I asked him where the accident was on the car, instead promising me pictures I was never shown. He talked to me like I was completely ignorant of cars, and was abrasive the entire time. If this is what the owner, an unpleasant person named Dave, is like, think about what your after-sales service would be like. The owner's comment below is nonsense. There was absolutely nothing abusive about my interactions with him, and he knows that. I barely even spoke to his staff, except to ask one gentleman if I could see the car. And I'm not sure how my review is abusive, evidently no criticism is acceptable to the owner, who is just trying to deflect attention from his own shortcomings. The problem is that the owner kept talking....and talking....and talking....and then talking some more. The first rule of sales is to LISTEN to what the customer wants. Instead, Dave, the owner, thought that his continuing to talk would lead me to look past the faults of the car. It doesn't work that way. He would have been better off just letting the salesman do the work instead of jumping in and screwing things up. In the process, he screwed himself. I'm a car guy who owns four cars. I'm constantly buying and selling my cars because I'm an enthusiast. I know cars well, and I do my homework on every car before I make a purchase. I was serious about this car. But every car enthusiast knows the general rule -- you're not just buying the car; you're buying the seller. So think about what you'd be buying if you bought from this dealership. Also think about what happens if you don't buy from Dave: aggressive criticism, lack of accountability and a defamatory response. No thanks. There are plenty of other options out there. I unfortunately hit something on I-25 and I pulled off on the exit and sure enough my tired was damaged on the sidewall. I Googled tire shop near me and Automotive Imports came up. I drove there and even though the bays were all full Arnold and his associate (sorry I don't remember his name) helped me get my car into a bay and put the spare tire on in no time flat. I asked, "What do I owe you?". Arnold said Nothing - no problem! That was the best service! We bought a 2018 Porsche Macan, the sales guy, Tarnue was amazing. When driving the car home, it threw a "check engine light". I called Tarnue and he told me to bring the car back immediately even though I hadn't purchased the extended warranty. These guys had no legal obligation to fix the issue, but they diagnosed the problem and fixed it at their expense. This car had a botched recall repair from a California dealership and Automotive Imports solved it. We live in Loveland and Tarnue drove the car to our house and dropped it off. This review is only about the sales process at Automotive Imports, and I think they have a nicely balanced sales culture at this small, used German-import dealership. I did make a purchase from AI, and my delivery date is a couple days away - I'm ecstatic. I found Tony extremely knowledgable about various facets of the vehicles I test drove... frankly, it was more technical detail than necessary to qualify his expertise. I drove both new and used models of a vehicle prior to visiting AI (a model which I didn't ultimately purchase), and Tony demonstrated much more knowledge about even that brand, then the brand marque's dealer reps! Tony knows German imports, that much I know for sure. I found Dave, the owner, to be a straight-shooter. I challenged him on the sales price aggressively, he responded with some high perceived value concessions (high for me, low for a full service shop), and we landed on a solid deal that I was comfortable with... and as another reviewer remarked, they do have an impeccable inventory. You'll run out out of price arguments quickly, after you've found the right car for you! And that brings me to my last comment about the AI sales process, and an earlier remark about a balanced sales culture. I borrowed "the right car for you" from Taniessa. I think she was my official sales rep, but I only met her a couple of times, because Taniessa was so busy. However, both she and Tony echoed this same sentiment... and it's one I think that is genuine at this place. Also, I felt only mild pressure to make a purchase decision on the same day I test drove. I'll only buy from this shop going forward, and AI has my highest recommendation. Update: Dave told me the brakes were "good", and maybe they were... but 3k miles and $900 later, I have, of course, new brakes. Not changing my stars here, and still LOVE this place. Brakes wear, like they wear, after all. He'd probably coach me to not drive so fast! Update: I LOVE this car... still drive up to the mountains at 100mph, no problem. THANK YOU! read more

These guys were amazing and so great to work with! They are all very down to earth and welcoming. Nick and Cameron really know their stuff and made you feel at ease with everything from their knowledge with the cars all the way to the paperwork (where I was super uptight and nervous at other places.) You can tell they are far from the grimy, stereotypical car salesmen and are actually look good people. If you're looking for a car dealer with poor communication, and that doesn't give a damn - then this is the place for you. I bought a used VW from Ron over the phone / email, and as soon as I wired the money, it was like pulling teeth to get the guy to respond to an email. It's scary when you start doing Google checks on a dealership after buying a car because you think you may have just been scammed. Honestly, that's how bad their communication is. It took two weeks just to get a bill of sale from them. Needless to say, I was getting worried. I had a 1200 mile drive ahead of me, and asked them (weeks in advance) to do a simple inspection. I even sent them a reminder to make sure it was inspected a few days before I picked it up. Of course, that email was ignored too. As soon as I drove off the lot, the tire pressure light went on. Turns out all four tires were over-inflated to 42 PSI, and should have been at 36. Without the warning from the dash light, I could have been killed from a blowout somewhere down the highway. Luckily, the local VW dealership (McDonald VW) was only a few blocks way and took care of it. The funny thing is that I've already had a follow up service call from McDonald VW - I've never got as much as a "thank you" from Automotive Imports - let alone a follow up call to see if I made it home safely. In hindsight, I should have paid the extra $1000 at a VW dealership if only for the piece of mind. By far, this was the worst experience I've had buying a car. Edit 5/3/2013: What a strange coincidence that two, glowing 5-star reviews are posted immediately after mine. Instead of taking ownership of the problems, you attempt to gloss over what actually happened and blame ME for Ron's incredibly bad customer service? I just wanted a smooth transaction from the start. There were conditions of the sale (like programming the instruments in KM/h) that you accepted, but instead of telling me you couldn't complete that task, Ron just chose to ignore it like everything else: - My repeated requests for the title - My repeated requests for a bill of sale - My repeated requests that the vehicle was inspected prior to my arrival It also took you three times to get the bill of sale written out correctly. As for the tires, instead of an apology - you choose to blame the weather on tires that were dangerously over-inflated, on a car that I paid an extra $100 for you to store inside until I arrived. Unlike you, I'm a reasonable guy that keeps promises. Here's one: I'll never be back. read more

This was a surprisingly good experience and review. We are loyal dealership customers with Audi's, BMW's and porsches in our family. We always service them with the dealer because frankly they are normally under warranty. We have a 2014 Q7 Audi that came off of warranty, we brought in to Mcdonald Audi, a reputable dealer. Surprisingly they told us it needed new brakes front and rear, Surprising because we got new ones about 10,000 miles earlier. They quoted us 2400 bucks, and we thought that seemed high. So we got a second opinion from Automotive Imports. And to our surprise it only needed front brakes, the rear brakes had more than 70% of life remaining. They did the job for 600 bucks plus another 200 for the annual service and ad blue. We highly recommend Automotive imports. Otherwise be prepared to get screwed by a greedy dealer. read more

We visited the dealership with our friend once to get him a car. My husband was eyeing for the 2012 Mercedes C300 but we didn't buy at that time. The pricing and conditions of the cars at the dealership/garage are great. The Carfax reports of most of the cars are clear and they provide a free copy for your reference. They have most of the imported cars below the KBB value. In comparison to other dealerships, I found them to be honest and straight forward in their approach. They definitely keep the pricing low and sales high. I was trying to get a deal for the 2012 Merc and we agreed on the pricing on the car on-line.Tony and Dave helped me with my buy. I reached the dealership & really liked 2013 Mercedes C-300 and they accommodated with no problem. Tony/Dave were very flexible with the overall deal. This was a surprise gift for my husband for his 35th birthday. And they did a fantastic job in completing my mission. Tony went out of his way and got some Birthday balloons (to decorate the car) and Dave (business owner) delivered the car at night for a big surprise. We are extremely happy with the dealership and appreciate that they went over and above helping me with financing (since I wanted my current bank to do the financing), trade in car, delivering the car late at night. I found these guys via Craigslist and wasn't sure what scale of operation they were, because the prices for the vehicles I was looking at were so good (for a dealer), and the photos seem to be in an indoor warehouse location. The address was only a few miles south of me in Wash Park, so I headed their way before work the next day and I am SO GLAD I decided to swing by because I found a VERY impressive operation. Frankly, this is the kind of place I'd want to work if I was a car enthusiast in the sales or service industry; such a cool space, a very close, knowledgeable and professional team, and clearly a very tasteful and effective buying strategy for the vehicles they choose to buy and re-sell. The cars I checked out were all 4-5 years old, and yet each one had clearly been loved throughout its life. We're talking "like new" condition. I zeroed in on a B8.5 S4, to replace one that I'd lost a few weeks back to a distracted driver who almost killed me, and the icing on the cake was the personal attention of the owner of AI, and ease of the deal I was able to make - low price, NO dealer fees, financing a portion of the car was a breeze and I was on my way absolutely amazed by the end to end experience of buying the car AS WELL as the knowledge that I'd found a long term relationship for service and my next car years from now. Keep in mind, this vehicle falls a few notches below the typical tax bracket for their usual customer. We had no intention of walking away with anything (which speaks to their sales team) but felt comfortable weighing our options and moving forward. I had been looking for a car for over 6 months at local and out of state dealerships with no luck. Not only did these guys have a car a fell in love with, but they offered to find one for me if they didn't have what I was looking for. I noticed that there was some bubbling on the dashboard of the Infiniti XF35 I was interested in and within minutes they had called Infiniti and the entire dashboard is being replaced free of charge.
