*** UPDATE*** I purchased my vehicle from AutoNation in 2024 and was told there were zero recalls on it. After being in a serious accident where the airbag did not deploy and the seatbelt failed to restrain me, my lawyer and I looked up the VIN to see why the safety features didn't work. That's when we discovered Toyota had issued a recall on this vehicle back in 2020 four years before I bought it. AutoNation sold me this car under the impression that it was safe and recall‑free. Selling a vehicle with a known, years‑old recall without disclosure is unacceptable and dangerous. Buyers deserve transparency, not false assurances.

My new truck!!

Highly recommend to anyone buying a new or used vehicle. My salesmen (Cameron) was very responsive and quick, he even went out of his way to pickup my truck from another dealer an hour away from this location just to get it to me that day. I was impressed with the professionalism with all employees and management.

Challenger advertised for less that actual cost being sold

I did not appreciate their false advertising. Drove all the way out there to look at two cars. One was advertised at $64k, but was actually $81k due to "market adjustment" add ons. That's crap. The other was supposed to be $55k, but was actually 74k. Not shopping AutoNation again. Pretty shady.

I recently purchased a 2026 Range Rover Sport from Land Rover West Houston, and I can honestly say…read morethis was one of the best dealership experiences I've ever had. What's funny is that I never intended to buy a Land Rover. I initially reached out about a BMW M4 they had listed online. I had been following that particular M4 on Cars.com and CarGurus for over a month, and since I was in Houston for the World Cup and traveling from Dallas, I thought it would be convenient to stop by and finally see it in person. Andres responded to my inquiry quickly, scheduled me in to see the M4 in person and and had everything ready when I arrived. The M4 was waiting for me in their covered garage and was presented in pristine condition. After taking it for a test drive, I realized that while it was a beautiful car, it just wasn't the right fit for me. At that point, Daniel, the Sales Manager, came by to introduce himself, and I also had a brief conversation with Jimmy their Finance Manager as he was walking by; we talked about the World Cup and the tournament results. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable to speak with. During our conversation, I mentioned to Andres that I had always been curious about Land Rover and had liked the Velar ever since it was first released. Without hesitation, he encouraged me to explore the lineup and suggested I sit in some of the vehicles in the showroom while he grabbed keys for a Velar. The moment I sat in the Range Rover Sport, I was hooked. Over the next several hours, Andres patiently walked me through the Land Rover lineup. I test drove a Velar, a Range Rover Sport Plug-in Hybrid, a Range Rover Sport P400, and even a Defender. He was extremely knowledgeable, answered every question I had, and never once made me feel pressured. His professionalism and product knowledge made the entire experience enjoyable and educational. When we got to the numbers, we weren't initially aligned. After several rounds of discussion, I decided it was getting late and headed back toward Dallas. What happened next really impressed me. About ten minutes after I left, Daniel and Jimmy called me and presented financing terms that made sense and worked for both sides. I turned around, went back to the dealership, completed the paperwork, and drove home in my brand-new 2026 Range Rover Sport. I want to sincerely thank Andres, Daniel, and Jimmy for their professionalism, persistence, and outstanding customer service. They took someone who walked into the dealership intending to buy a BMW and turned him into a first-time Land Rover owner. I never would have imagined that I would leave that day in a completely different vehicle, from a brand I had never owned before. If you're looking for a dealership that values relationships, professionalism, and customer experience, I highly recommend Land Rover West Houston. This team earned my business, and more importantly, they earned my trust.

On the next business day, June 22, I immediately contacted my salesperson, Omar, by phone and text to report the issue and requested to cancel the purchase. I also asked multiple times to speak with a manager but was never connected. June 23, I was told by Omar my only option was a buyback or trade-in. June 24, I finally spoke with Sales Manager Chad, I was again told my only options were a buyback or trade-in. The proposed buyback would have left me responsible for nearly $9,000 after owning the vehicle for only a few days. At no point was I informed about AutoNation's 5-Day/250-Mile Money-Back Guarantee, even after I initially requested to cancel. I happened to research and found the return policy online. However, I was told I was outside the return window because the dealership was calculating the period from the paperwork date rather than the date I actually took delivery. Only after I researched the return policy myself, escalated the issue to the General Manager, and provided text messages proving I requested cancellation previously on June 22 did the dealership agree to honor the return policy. I acknowledge the return policy was included in the paperwork I signed, and I take responsibility for not reading every page carefully. However, my concern is that when I specifically asked to cancel the purchase within the applicable period, I was never informed that I qualified for AutoNation's return policy. Instead, I was told my only options were a costly buyback or trade-in. Had I not researced the return policy online, insisted on escalating the matter, and providing text messages, I would have unnecessarily lost thousands of dollars.

One of the worst service experiences I've had…read more I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating service experience at AutoNation Ford Katy (20777 Katy Fwy) that began on March 7, 2026 and took seven days to resolve due to repeated mistakes, lack of accountability, and unprofessional behavior from management. I brought my vehicle in for: * Oil change * Tire rotation * Windshield wiper rubber insert replacement only (not full blade replacement) Despite being very clear about the wiper request, I discovered immediately after leaving that my entire wiper blades had been replaced against my instructions. When I brought this to the attention of the service advisor (Randy), he appeared confused and dismissive. Only one of my original wiper blades could be located, and I was told the technician had already left for the day--suggesting my vehicle was rushed. No accountability was taken, and no solution was offered. Because AutoNation could not correct its own mistake, I had to go to Honda, where I was told I would need to buy new blades since one was missing. I had to rush back to AutoNation before closing just to retrieve the single blade that was found so I wouldn't have to buy two replacements. Shortly after leaving Honda, my tire pressure light came on, which was concerning given that a tire rotation and air check had supposedly been done. The next day, I discovered one valve cap was completely stuck, making it impossible to add air--confirming the service had not been properly completed and that no issue was disclosed. When I returned on Monday to request reimbursement for: 1. The wipers AutoNation incorrectly charged me for. 2. The replacement wiper I had to purchase due to their mistake. I encountered extremely rude and dismissive behavior from a manager named Don, who interrupted me, spoke condescendingly, and showed zero interest in resolving the issue. Although he acknowledged the stuck valve cap, he claimed they "didn't have the right size" to fix it--something Honda corrected immediately. Honda also washed my car, which AutoNation didn't do. Reimbursement was delayed and incorrect multiple times, and my name and address were misspelled on both the invoice and checks--showing sloppy handling of customer information. The only bright spot in this entire experience was Henry, another manager. Henry reviewed everything, immediately acknowledged the mistakes, corrected the reimbursements properly, took ownership of the situation, and followed through exactly as promised. He demonstrated genuine professionalism, accountability, and respect--something noticeably absent elsewhere during this ordeal. It is upsetting that a simple service visit escalated into a week-long issue because one manager refused to help. This location's lack of workmanship, professionalism, and accountability reflects very poorly on the AutoNation brand. I strongly urge corporate leadership to review management conduct and service procedures at this dealership. If not for Henry, this situation likely would not have been resolved at all.

Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!

I am headed back to CarMax, a legitimate business that will actually buy my vehicle. My recommendation is to never use Texas Direct Auto or Vroom to sell your vehicle. They are a pathetic excuse for a vehicle acquisitions company. Steer clear from this outfit and don't waste your time or efforts on them.

The mechanic, Willie, was rude and appeared frustrated, tried to pressure me about brakes I didn't request, and repeatedly called me approximately four times back-to-back, even texting me while I was still at the shop -- luckily, I keep unknown callers on silent. They put the wrong oil (5W20 instead of the required 0W20, which is stamped on my oil cap) into my car without asking. I immediately called my usual mechanic, who confirmed that using the wrong viscosity can damage my engine. The oil filter was changed at the same time, meaning it now contains the wrong oil and should be replaced again, but the shop refused to do so. To make matters worse, the owner (I assume) tried to grab my receipt and nervously laughed when I took a picture documenting the mistake. They even left my car running with the windows down after the error was "corrected," creating a safety risk. This shop is careless, disrespectful, and clearly assumes women customers don't know anything about their cars. Women are fully capable of reading manufacturer recommendations and recognizing when something isn't right. I will never return and strongly caution others. I now have to closely monitor my vehicle to ensure it was corrected properly. Willie claimed he was "trying to help," but disregarding manufacturer recommendations is completely unacceptable. For the safety of both your vehicle and your sanity, I strongly advise going somewhere else.
