On March 7, 2026, I visited Honda to purchase new windshield wiper blades after my original ones were accidentally thrown away by AutoNation Ford Katy. Fortunately, the representative at Ford was able to locate one of my original wiper blades, so I only needed to purchase one new blade and a replacement rubber for the second one. The Honda employee who assisted me was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive, making sure all my needs were taken care of. Then, on March 9, 2026, I returned to Honda because Ford was unable to help me remove a stuck valve cap on my tire. Honda checked it right away and advised that they could fix the issue without any problem, estimating it would take about one to one and a half hours. Their team worked quickly and efficiently, and I was back on the road much sooner than expected. As an added bonus, they even washed my car for free, which I truly appreciated. I really wanted this purchase to work out. The buying experience started off well, and my salesperson was responsive and helpful initially. Unfortunately, everything that happened after I drove the vehicle home changed my opinion of Katy Honda. I purchased a 2018 Honda Civic Si on July 17. That same evening I discovered an oil leak and a driver-side low-beam issue. I notified the dealership immediately and returned the car the following morning. During that drive, multiple warning lights and system messages came on. Katy Honda kept the vehicle for nearly two weeks. During that time, I repeatedly asked what had actually been diagnosed, what repairs were being performed and for copies of the repair order and inspection documentation. I was told I would receive those records. I didn't. When I finally picked the car up, the low beam still wasn't fixed. Then on August 8, substantially the same warning-light condition returned. At that point I took the vehicle to Gillman Honda for an independent Honda diagnostic. Gillman documented permanent P0172 and found that the PCM had been modified, was missing diagnostic information and had a serial number that did not match Honda's data list. They recommended replacing and reprogramming the PCM. Only after I returned to Katy Honda with that independent diagnosis did I finally receive the July 31 repair order I had repeatedly requested. Katy Honda's own document showed they had already retrieved P0172, reset it and documented an "aftermarket performance intake, exhaust and possible tune." That information was never disclosed to me before I bought the vehicle. I also later received communications from the prior owner indicating that the rear-main oil leak and recurring warning-light condition had been disclosed during the trade-in process. I'm not claiming every employee at Katy Honda knew that information, but I believe it is fair to expect a dealership to know what it is acquiring, properly inspect what it is selling, and disclose material information it discovers. I have tried repeatedly to resolve this directly with Katy Honda management. The issue remains unresolved, and I have now filed formal complaints with the appropriate agencies. I don't expect a used car to be perfect. I do expect transparency, documentation and accountability. That is where this experience fell apart for me. read more

After a long day, and getting stuck in that awful tragedy that killed two motorist on I-10, I decided to turn around, I figured I'd rather sit on a couch while my vehicle is being serviced, than sit in traffic for hours. Hector Mejia, the service advisor immediately approached me as I pulled over, I told him I don't have an appointment, but my vehicle needed service. He was all smile and said @No problem! I'll take care of you, he explained every service package, Pros and Cons. I brought my vehicle to Katy Honda on Thursday because the air conditioner was intermittently blowing cold air and occasionally slightly cool air. At no point was it ever blowing hot air as though the heater was on. After your technicians diagnosed the issue, I decided not to proceed with the repair. When I got into my vehicle the very next day, however, the air conditioner was blowing hot air as if the heater had been turned on--a problem that did not exist before my vehicle was serviced. I returned to Katy Honda to express my concern. Instead of listening to what I was trying to explain, your staff repeatedly focused on the diagnosis they had already given me. My concern was not about the diagnosis--it was that my vehicle was performing differently after your technicians worked on it. Before the service, my AC never blew hot air. After the service, it did. I wasn't asking for a free repair. After paying nearly $300 for an AC diagnostic, I simply expected someone to take my concern seriously and offer to inspect the vehicle to make sure something hadn't been inadvertently left disconnected or improperly reassembled, such as a cap, hose, or connector. That basic level of customer service was never offered. The complete lack of concern for my experience and the unwillingness to even consider that something may have changed during the inspection was extremely disappointing. Customer service is about listening to your customers, not dismissing their concerns. Because of this experience, Katy Honda has lost my confidence. I will not be returning for future service, nor will I consider purchasing another vehicle from your dealership. How I wish I would have read these reviews before coming here. I came here in April because my right rear car wheel was not holding air. As we know, cars are machines with the capability to cause extreme damage, so an issue like this was a major concern for myself and other drivers. When I arrived, I was very clear that I wanted my tire looked at and I really was not interested in any add-ons. I know being a female and not having a ton of expertise in this field, sometimes that causes predatory behavior to happen with the hope to upsell items that are not necessary. I was assured that that wheel would be looked at and my sales associate James Na was very good at finding commonalities with myself and him, mainly around teaching, to get me to trust his intentions. I truly am a person that trust people in their craft and don't lead with the idea that I will be scammed by said person. Especially since every single sign in the Honda Katy center (as I sat there for over an hour) was a "customer creed" talking about customers being right and deserve l the best care. Ironically, that was not my experience. When I got my car back they assured me that the tire was fixed and they also talked about potential other problems I should fix as well, highlighting the safety concerns if I don't get them fixed.I trusted their suggestions (my mistake) and I ended up spending about 600 dollars that day. When I got my car back, not even 20 minutes later the tire pressure light came back on. I arrived home and my fiancé let me know that the car was still not holding air. I called Katy Honda back to let them know that I was disappointed since I spent so much money and the reason I came in was not fixed, and they did not call me back. My fiancé ended up calling on my behalf and they were very accommodating to him. They ended up calling me back at work but I was not able to answer. I did send a text message to let them know that I could text, but I wouldn't be able to call in that moment due to the nature of being in education. My schedule is tied to the school day. On the topic of being in education, money decisions like this are not taken lightly due to the financial burden they cause, so this was a big deal to me. To this day, I have yet to receive a text message back, addressing any of the concerns and safety issues that they have caused due to not fixing my tire. I ended up cutting my losses with them and going to discount tires in Katy, which were extremely helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend going there. I purchased my Civic brand new in 2020 and one of the reasons I purchased the car there was that this dealership offered free oil changes for the life of the vehicle. The dealership was sold about a week later without providing any notice to its customers. When I went in to get my first oil change they charged me a "discounted rate" at $59.95. You would think if they purchased a dealership, along with the inventory, then they also purchased the obligations of the old owners. Their argument was that they purchased the property only. Skip forward 5 years and not only have I not received a single free oil change, but now they are raising the price of the oil change to account for the increased supply costs. When I tried to argue that at a minimum the $59.95 price should be honored I was transferred to the service manager. She was extremely argumentative and rude. If this is how they treat their repeat customers, I'd hate to see how they treat customers that didn't purchase their vehicles from them. Save yourself the frustration and don't get screwed over, by heading east along I10 and go to Easy Honda. I recently visited your dealership to purchase a used 2025 Honda Odyssey priced at approximately $34,400 and to negotiate a trade-in for my vehicle. During the process, I discovered that the van was missing a middle seat in the second row--something that was not disclosed upfront. When I asked the salesperson (Ben) about it, he stated that he had "just found out," which I found difficult to believe. Shortly after, a manager came over, apologized for the missing seat, and proposed that I cover 50% of the cost to replace it. Despite the vehicle being incomplete, they were unwilling to adjust the sale price accordingly. Additionally, during negotiations, the manager referenced my CarMax appraisal value and used it in the discussion to justify their trade-in offer. I later realized that I had accidentally left my appraisal paperwork inside my vehicle, which appears to have been accessed and used without my consent. While I acknowledge this was my mistake, it was inappropriate and unprofessional for dealership staff to review and use my personal documents in this way. Due to the lack of transparency, questionable handling of my personal information, and unwillingness to fairly negotiate, I chose not to proceed with the purchase. I went to Honda for a routine oil change. As expected, they tried to upsell me on additional services (coolant, etc.), which I declined. Shortly after leaving, I noticed my car started jerking and struggling when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Within a short time, the car completely failed and wouldn't shift at all. Now it has become my problem since their techs have no clue what they are doing. I brought it back the next day for a diagnostic, and they came back with a $10,000 repair quote, $5k in parts and $5k in labor. That immediately raised red flags. It honestly felt like they were trying to push me into trading in my vehicle rather than fixing it. I decided to get a second opinion from a trusted independent mechanic, which I strongly recommend to anyone in this situation. To make matters worse, when I asked for my vehicle's service records, the service department was extremely uncooperative. One person refused to provide them, and another said they would email them, which still hasn't happened. Buyer Beware... I found a used Honda CRV that I wanted to purchase at this dealership. I was informed right before test drive that the AC was blowing warm air and would be fixed. Test drive was great other than AC. Agreed on price and I placed a deposit down to hold vehicle until it could be serviced but was informed that there were other cars ahead of "mine" before it could be serviced. Came back next day to check with salesman about having an independent inspection. Salesman Stefan asked why I would want another inspection by someone who did not specialize in Honda vehicles. Dealership attempted to get me to sign papers on the vehicle BEFORE it had even been serviced but thankfully I did not. Waited patiently for a week for AC to be repaired. I Even received text updates throughout the week that vehicle had been inspected and parts had been ordered. Then a few days later I received a TEXT from Stefan stating that they would not be able to sell me the vehicle because it was Not a safe car and would be sold at auction. He didn't even give me the courtesy of a phone call. Why are they posting cars for sale and agreeing on a price, that are not even serviced or deemed "not safe"? Either they found out the repairs were too costly and would lose money on the deal, they sold it for a higher price, or they really were that incompetent to advertise a car for sale without even inspecting it; which is highly doubtful. I was also told that my deposit money would be refunded. Guess what? Three days went by and $ was still not refunded. I visited Katy Honda after my brand-new Honda Accord showed a tire pressure warning. Honda Care directed me to the dealership service center. I arrived around 7:38 a.m. expecting quick support since the vehicle is new and under warranty. At the service desk, I dealt with a certified service advisor, Anthony Coca. He was on a long phone call before acknowledging me. When I asked for my car to be checked, he immediately questioned if I had "hit something" and whether I was "going to pay for the service," which felt rude and dismissive for a warranty concern on a new vehicle. When I explained I had not hit anything, he responded in a very unprofessional way, stating that service and sales/finance "are not a team" and that he does not care about what other departments tell customers. This was extremely disappointing and not what I expect from a certified service advisor. I waited about 2 to 2.5 hours with very little communication. When my car was ready, I was not informed and had to find out myself while he remained on a phone call. A manager later spoke with me and was polite, but the experience had already been frustrating due to poor communication, attitude, and lack of customer care. As a long-time Honda customer (8th vehicle from Katy Honda), this experience was very disappointing. Avoid This Dealership - Sold Me a Lemon! I had an absolutely terrible experience with this dealership, and I strongly advise others to stay away. I purchased a used 2015 BMW with only 75K miles, and it has been nothing but problem after problem since day one. First, it took them three weeks to even give me the car, claiming they had to make "necessary fixes" before I could drive it. I trusted them, assuming they were ensuring the car was in solid condition. A month later, I noticed a burning smell coming from the air vents. I took it back, and they took another month just to diagnose the issue--an oil leak from a faulty valve cover gasket. While I had an extended warranty, the most expensive part of the repair wasn't covered because it wasn't considered part of the powertrain. This forced me to pay $2,200 out of pocket for something that should have been caught before they even sold me the car. Then, just a month after that repair, while driving back to San Antonio, I got a drivetrain malfunction warning. I paid to tow the car back to the dealership, only for them to refuse to even look at it. Completely unhelpful. I had to take it to a BMW dealership, and after another month-long wait, they told me the worst news--I needed a whole new engine. I don't think you'd like to hear my review Service 6/23 x2 6/24 Came in to do basic oil change and tire rotation as part of the lease agreement for my 24 Civic sport. Disaster from the get-go had to wait 25 minutes plus in the driveway. I'm sure your Survaillance will show it understandable I left just to see a error message pop up called and then came back and they said it would be good after about 15 minutes of them doing something in the car. After leaving again nearly 20 minutes of driving later, the message appeared again, the same calibration error, message and low tire pressure of course by that time traffic was really bad so I called and said I'd come in the next day. Showed up at about 5 PM just to be met with attitude from the guy at the counter saying oh so "you decided to come right before we close" I was like you guys couldn't serviced the vehicle properly the first time and I had to come in after work to deal with your problem. Price shows one thing, Out the door price will spike up once they add all those after market fees that you didn't ask to have. They will say you cannot waive those fees.. which is an untrue. They will charge you for Tint, wheel-lock, LoJack theft, paint restore fees and more. When you challenge them on such fees, they become disgruntled. The General Manager seems to handpick which salesman he wants on the job. They are working in tandem to add after market fees to their financial benefit. Worse place you could ever buy a car! They sold me a jeep renegade and after selling me the car I only had it for 2 months and it had an oil leak. After that they told me they put a new engine in the car because " all the car did was sit on the previous owners lawn" and 4 months later the engine blows on the side of the road because the engine in the car had faults cylinders. On top of that the lights on my dash board that indicate that there is something wrong never went off in the car when the oil leak happened and when my engine blew. I went in September for an oil change and they charged me double the amount on what is advertised and when you ask them on differences and they would tell that other service rep. did not tell them. They did a state inspection and told me to come back after driving 100 miles on a freeway as my vehicle failed emissions ( This is a 2022 Honda odyssey with 10k Miles on it). I went in today and they charged me the inspection fee again with $10 increase then last time ( Double dipping). When i asked them why it is they are saying i need to comeback with in 14days and Shawn responded that he is not my previous service rep and he cannot do anything. Update (9/21/2023): I will say that the positives of this experience are that the company pays attention to its reviews, so after posting two reviews and making a complaint to the BBB, once Ali Bharwani became involved, I was at least able to negotiate the cost of the remaining parts and service. At this point, this last explanation I have received is from manager Charley Leach and this response puts me more at ease. The accountability of his final response (offering to print and discuss the details in person, patiently explaining what is safe or expected about the repair, admitting to a mishandling of the situation and an apology for how long this process has taken, and an offer to help with the cost of a future repair) is appreciated and what I hoped to have received from the service representative all along. I wish it hadn't taken so much to get here, but if you talk to the right people at this company, you can get a reasonable resolution. _________________________________________________ On Thursday, 8/3/2023 I brought my Honda CR-V to Honda Cars of Katy due to the A/C not working. The service representative both times has been Troy Brymer. By 8/4, I was told that the clutch and coil from the compressor was the cause of the problem and they would also replace the belt because there was some smoke coming from it. After the job was completed, I was able to pick up the car on 8/15. At the time Troy told me the belt did not need to be replaced after all. The A/C stopped working again after another 4 days and I brought it back to the shop. This time Troy reported that metal debris had entered tubes and caused damage that would require a much larger repair (estimated to cost around $3800). When I asked about where the debris came from, he said that it was from the old compressor, they were aware of it and it had been mentioned in the invoice, however this result was a "worst case scenario" and does not usually happen. The only line mentioning "metal in system compressor is locked up" does not indicate whether the problem was dealt with or whether there is any risk from remaining debris. At no point prior to the second visit did Troy or any staff member bring the debris to my attention, discuss the risks, or additional options to get rid of the debris. His responses indicated that replacing the compressor was the job that needed to be done. After multiple attempts (being told at first that the manager is too busy to call me), I spoke to manager Charley Leach on 8/28, who at first accused me of not choosing to do additional repair. After I insisted that no such option or risk was discussed with me, he said he would talk to Troy and contact me again. I have been unable to contact the manager since then. read more

Any time you have a question for any department they will make you wait and hour just to speak with someone in person or if you call they NEVER pick up the phone or return your calls after leaving a voicemail, specifically the finance department. Just got my oil changed here, it took 3 hours and I had to ask the techs to look for my car. After asking them to check I found my car in the parking lot where it had obviously been done for a while. Upon getting my keys and getting back in my vehicle I found out that my change had been STOLEN from my car. Approximately $4. After speaking with the managers they told me there was nothing they could do because I already get free oil changes because my car is new. Horrible management! I am currently sitting in the lobby of the dealership. Got here at 10am to look at a used 2021 Honda HRV that my daughter and wife saw and test drove the previous day. I test drove it and we started the process. It is 3:41pm and we are stilling waiting for finance to comeback to finish the paperwork. Dealership was clean and the salesman was friendly and courteous. I would recommend Kirk Fuller as he was pleasant to work with. However, They are short staffed, and negotiating took about 30-45 minutes between each trip for salesman to get manager approval. 6 hours to buy a car is ridiculous. Next time I am buying online after test driving in a dealership to find what I like. read more
