I brought my 2017 Ford Explorer in for transmission and engine issues and was initially presented with a repair estimate exceeding **$20,000**. Fortunately, I had a warranty that covered most of the repairs, leaving me responsible for approximately **$3,000 out of pocket**. Even then, the process felt frustrating and lacked transparency. One of my biggest concerns was the invoice itself. My final bill included a charge of **$2,450 listed as "Misc Customer Contribution for Repairs."** The invoice showed **$0 in parts, $0 in labor, and $2,450 in "Other" charges**, with no detailed breakdown explaining exactly how that amount was calculated. For a charge of that size, customers deserve a clear explanation of what they are paying for. The communication throughout the repair process was equally disappointing. After I agreed to move forward with the repairs, my service advisor, **Veronika Archer**, disappeared for approximately a week and a half without any prior notice. I sent multiple follow-up messages and only received automatic out-of-office responses. If you're actively managing a customer's repair, common courtesy would be to inform them that you'll be unavailable and out of the office. When Veronika finally returned, she told me the technician would begin the repairs. Surprisingly, the actual repair work was completed within about two days, making me question why the vehicle sat idle for so long. The day I picked up my vehicle, I texted Veronika at 7:30 a.m. to let her know I was coming. She responded at 8:00 a.m., confirming they were open until 4:00 p.m. I arrived around 11:30 a.m., paid my bill, and waited for my vehicle...No thank you, no further conversation from the worker. When my Explorer was brought out, the key was handed to me, no conversation, no walkthrough. I was shocked. The vehicle was dirty on the exterior despite being told that a complimentary wash and interior sanitization would be provided. Even worse, my fuel tank was nearly empty. When I dropped off the vehicle, I had well over 100 miles of fuel remaining. When I picked it up, the dashboard showed **only 3 miles until empty**. Returning a customer's vehicle in that condition is unacceptable. I immediately documented it and notified my service advisor. I also noticed a mileage discrepancy of approximately 10 miles compared to what was documented. Afterward, I politely reached out asking whether the dealership would consider a small gesture to make things right, such as a gas card or a complimentary oil change. I also expressed my disappointment regarding the vehicle's condition upon return. I never received a response. I followed up again, asking for a reply, and was completely ignored. That was perhaps the most disappointing part of the entire experience. Once the bill was paid, customer service ended. Between the lack of communication, unexplained delays, poor follow-up, questionable invoice transparency, dirty vehicle return, and nearly empty gas tank, I cannot recommend AutoNation Ford Valencia. BUNCH OF LIARS AND SCAMMERS AT THIS DEALERSHIP. I drove down 5hrs from Northern California on Sunday morning to purchase a Raptor Vin 1FTFW1RG0SFC33519. I met with my sales person Tyler Mccartin, we walked over to see the truck and right away I saw the front bumper on the RH side to be misaligned. At first I didn't say anything I just kept inspecting the truck. I asked Tyler why did the previous owner trade in the truck with so little miles, he went on fabricated a lie. We walked back around to the front of the truck and I popped the hood. Once I opened the hood, I could CLEARLY see that this truck had been in a accident. All of the fender bolts had socket marks. The hood bump stops had over spray of white paint all over them and the RF fender was poorly painted. At this point I asked Tyler what happened, he quickly got defensive and referred to Carfax doesn't show any accidents. Tyler then goes to say let's see if I we can make your a deal on a new one since you drove all this way. Of course they didn't have another white Raptor with the 802A package. Tyler's manager then goes on and says, how about I knock off another 2k on this Raptor. Why would I wanted to pay close to 100k on a Raptor that has been wrecked before.? As I'm walking out and getting ready to leave one of the sales managers walks up and says, "what about if we make you a deal on the RAPTOR R since you drove down so far and we have no deals going today". For some reason I decided to wait another 5 minutes. The Manager came back with 30K THOUSAND OVER MSRP, I just laughed and left. AUTONATION FORD VALENCIA thanks for wasting my entire Sunday. I drove 10hrs round trip (almost 600 miles) and wasted over $200 of gas. AUTONATION and FORD should be ashamed to let a dealership like this represent their brands. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with AutoNation Ford Valencia, specifically with Juan Zapata Rosales and Jason Price. On March 30, 2026, after work, I drove 71 miles from my job and 23 miles from home to see a 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT in Velocity Blue. The drive felt worth it at first because Velocity Blue is my favorite color, and I was also actively negotiating with another dealership on an identical GT in white. I brought that competing quote with me. When I arrived, no one greeted me for a while. Eventually someone acknowledged me and got Jason. We test drove the car, and I loved it, but the vehicle was extremely dirty both inside and out, which was disappointing for a car they were trying to sell. Once we sat down to discuss numbers, they tried to match the other dealership's offer and got somewhat close, but Jason kept pushing for a payment that was still about $50 more per month than the competing deal. I had already been upfront with Juan by text that Ford might not approve me and he told me they have multiple lenders. Jason encouraged me to let them run my credit anyway, telling me they had a strong relationship with Ford Credit and that approval without a co-signer likely would not be a problem. At that point, my dad, who was involved in helping me compare the offers and is my co-signer, was too far away to make it to the dealership before closing. He told me to come home so we could discuss both deals. I communicated that to Jason, but he pressured me by saying the incentive would run out, even though the dealership website showed it ending on 3/31/26. I was also extremely hungry, tired, and feeling faint after the long drive from work, so I completed the application and Jason said he could run my credit and update me afterward. I immediately received an Experian alert showing that my credit had been pulled. The next day, March 31, I texted both Jason and Juan for an update because I needed to know which dealership I should go to after work. No response from either of them. I emailed the general manager and got no response. I called the dealership, gave my information, and was told someone would call me back. No one did. I then contacted AutoNation customer service to ask for the status of my application. They said they would notify the dealership and that someone would reach out. They even made me a 6:00 p.m. appointment, but I made it clear that I was not going to drive 71 miles just to be rejected in person and waste everyone's time. Still, no one from the dealership called or texted me. I waited and waited until it became too late. The incentives ended that day, and I was left with no answer, no explanation, and no professionalism. A simple response saying the deal would not work, or that I was not approved, would have allowed me to move on. Instead, I was ignored after they ran my credit. Later, Ford also ran my credit, and to this day I still do not know why, because no one at the dealership has explained anything. Brand New Raptor Arrived Scratched - Dealer Wanted Me to Sign First Drove 1hr with a cashier's check in hand to buy a BRAND NEW 2026 Ford F-150 Raptor. Upon arrival, I noticed there was a stripe of scratches that extended along the length of the passenger side of the bed over the wheel well to the cab as if someone brushed past a tree branch. I looked around the truck and noticed paint issues/scratching just about all over, swirl marks, etc. as well as scratching on the passenger side door. Detailer may be damaging their cars as well. When I went inside and told the manager about this, he said let's work on signing the paperwork first and only then we'll see if we can get it detailed to get the scratches out. He tried justifying it by saying "we gave you a big discount"...they gave me sticker price LOL so not sure where he's going w/ that. Unbelievable response. Conveniently detailer was unavailable. A brand new car should be just that, brand new. No apology, just hey we'll take payment. Not the right response for a $90,000 truck. Went ahead and bought another one from a different dealer locally, no scratches, they cleaned the car before, filled it with a full tank of gas and gave me some freebies as well. Hopefully the GM can address this. Not sure which manager I spoke to, possibly Brandon? Salesperson was Peter Boyadjian, both dismissive, smirky, and unapologetic regarding the issue. Not something that couldn't be fixed but the response steered me in the other direction. Looks like they buffed out the scratches a few days later but to conceal this and have a client drive out for an expensive vehicle like this and expect it to all be good is just not good business. SO! First of all. I was trying to buy a 2014 mini that was approx 12000. Sales guy Peter tells me I NEED to put 3000 down for a down payment for a much older, cheaper car. LOL! After stating multiple times I'm not able to put that much down, another sales agent said we can do 1000 which was much more in my price range. 3000, what a joke. I'll also add I was buying from out of state which complicated things, I do NOT recommend because they don't inform you at ALL that it can take up to 3-4 weeks to even receive the car! Another joke. The ONLY useful person there was sales guy Richard, he was great. Everyone else is an idiot and absolutely no one was on the same page or knew what was going on. Fast forward a few weeks and I receive the car. It has MULTIPLE things wrong with it, mostly cosmetic. Not the end of the world. Ceiling fabric is detached all around the interior roof, sun roof barely works only when it wants too I guess, driver side door lock does NOT work to lock or unlock the doors, the speakers are completely blown out and sound like crap. Car was dirty when I received it.... Couldn't have wiped down the inside? Rims were filthy.. OF COURSE none of the damages were mentioned though. :) If this car hadn't been almost exactly what I was looking for mileage wise / price wise I would have thrown in the towel once they told me the hilarious joke of me needing 3000 down on that car. I grew up in the Auto Industry. I worked for dealerships growing up in the 90's-00's. I even worked for Autonation as Service Runner for a time. I say all of this to say unequivocally, this dealership is the worst, by a far margin, than any other dealership, new or used, that I've had the displeasure of dealing with. I sold myself a Bronco from their extended inventory, coordinated delivery with the GM from the other dealer, and willed the deal into fruition. AutoNation Ford's staff didn't help with any of it... Fast forward to today. 75k miles and 5 differentials later... my Bronco still sits on a rack, and has been for 24 days, with no communication about what's going on and when I might get it back. It took 12 days for warranty to approve repairs... but warranty only covers 10 days of rental. Someone explain to me how that works? They told me warranty had to approve the repairs before they can put me in a rental, so for 12 days I was in a rental, out of pocket. We get the warranty approval and, Sam White, the Service Director, approves the rental but only covered 5 days. So now I've got the rental company calling me and asking where the rental is, that it's overdue, and that I need to bring it back and switch it out for a Ford or else the dealership may not pay for it, since I drive a higher end Bronco. Thanks, Sam!!! I try to call and call and call but only keep getting voicemail. They only have 5-6 service writers and not a single one can be bothered to answer the phone during normal business hours? So today I called and demanded to speak to the GM, Shawn Clancy, another gentleman that has left me less than impressed. Ever heard that the fish stinks from the head, Shawn? Your entire management staff (Sales, Service, Finance, Parts) have all required me to hold them accountable to do the jobs they are being paid to do... it should not be up to paying customers like me to make you're employees do their jobs. I should not have to follow up and beg your service writers for Information. I should not have to tell your sales manager to call the GM at another dealer instead of emailing, I should not have to have your Service Director admit, on the phone and in front of you, that he has failed to provide me the level of service you expect your customers to receive..... and yet here we are!! I sadly conducted business here. I had my For Raptor serviced here for a few years. The last time I turned the vehicle in for regular service I mentioned there was a very obvious knocking sound coming from the engine area. My service was completed, and I received the service record with all the areas in green and was informed there was no issue. Three days later I was in a cross country trip in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma, and my truck started making a loud knocking sound. About 10 minutes later the truck stopped running. I waited almost 6 hours for a tow truck in freezing cold weather and almost didn't make it to my destination, which I had orders to report to. I won't bore you with the rest of the story, but almost $30k later this dealership refused any ownership of this issue and left me to hang dry. Mistakes happen, but any business that doesn't take ownership of a mistake is the worst type of business. I do not recommend you spend money at this dealership. read more

I will NEVER buy another vehicle from AutoNation and especially not Autonation Ford Valencia. Typical scummy Sales, Service, and an AWFUL FINANCE DEPT. Avoid at all costs. Do not do business with Alexis Steele, or Elias Lux. They tell you what you want to hear and screw you behind your back. I was told an OTD price(everything TTL) only to have another almost $1,000 added on after the fact. When I asked if I was getting the 0 payments for 90 days, Alexis Steele did not know (how does finance not know what incentives are going on?) she confirmed with her manager that I did get the 90 days deferred payment. I ended up getting my bill sooner than the 90 days promised. I tried calling Alexis back but she conveniently was not in the office or came up with any excuse she could think of, new management, her manager was out,i haven't had time (she had 3 weeks to give me a solution or answer) blah blah blah. I finally spoke to Elias who said I misunderstood the incentives which was not true. The facts were, that Alexis was inept and had no business in the finance dept as she had no idea what the incentives were and failed to tell me that the specific vehicle I wanted did not qualify for deferred payments. Little to no effort to be made whole. Horrible people, horrible business, shame on you. I thought my sales guy was good until he wasn't. Lesson learned. read more

Beware of the Service Department - Unnecessary Repairs and Poor Workmanship I took my new company vehicle to Autonation for a simple oil change, and it has been a nightmare ever since. The vehicle had less than 6,000 miles on it when I took it in for its first service. I left with an oil leak repair and a "discovered" hose issue with the windshield washer fluid reservoir hose - both of which feel like manufactured problems to pad the bill. Unfortunately, since they are an authorized service provider for my company, I ended up going back, and somehow it only got worse. Now, my engine overheats whenever I go into passing gear, something that never happened before they touched it. This vehicle was brand new, and now I'm dealing with ongoing issues that all started after a basic service which I feel might have been over this places technical capabilities. Even with the BS walk around video this place feels like a total scam. It's an effective business model though...service business down? Just create your own repairs. Save yourself the headache and find a more reputable service center. Oh and lastly, good luck trying to get scheduled...this place is constantly packed (probably for all the recommended repairs) so it's hard to get in for something easy and you can't get anyone to return a call even if you wanted to do something. I brought my Fusion to Ford Valencia to address a noise issue, after a week, the diagnosis revealed a cracked flex plate. I approved for a full repair. Two weeks later I was told my car was "repaired" and ready for pick up. During the 7 mile drive home, my car had emitted a huge amount of smoke from the exhaust, transmission fluid started pouring out, and the trans started slipping. Contacting my service advisor, Gregg Speer, for guidance, I was instructed to return the vehicle. Unfortunately, upon reaching home, my car caught fire. In the aftermath, Speer initially acknowledged a hose clamp was not secured properly on the transmission, attributing it to the fire. However, his stance later shifted, challenging me to "prove it" that it was the dealership's liability. Despite escalating the issue to Ford corporate, I received no communication from Ford Valencia. Having been a loyal customer of Ford Valencia for 14 years, the mishandling of this incident has left me with a total loss and a sense of undervalued loyalty.
