I knew I needed a starter in my van as it had been acting up lately, I finally broke down and called a handful of shops. The first one that intrigued me was this shop, Midas on Kent rd., as the gentleman on the phone was kind, courteous, very helpful and quoted me a price over the phone for what I wanted fixed. My experience from the time I dropped off the van until I picked up the van was also very pleasant; I noticed the phone being answered on time and the employees stayed constantly working and courteous to the customers. When I spoke with the manager "Jason" (I think) there were no shenanigans, the van was fixed, and everything looked great. I will visit this Midas again with this staff, in my experience it's the people that make the company. Thanks Midas.

Oil all over my engine etc. Took the car back complaining about a burnt smell when using the defroster, they said my engine gasket bracket, the gaskets were old/broken I guess. I'm more than a month in and the smell is still there...took the car back in after sending a review to corporate. They then said the air filters need replaced, and this after spending over $1200, I'm still sitting with their problem. Shady operation they either never did the brakes the first encounter or lied to us the second encounter. Once we called them out on this they became very nervous contacted the manager on the phone in back room and refunded our money for the brakes. I will never go back they are running a scam. I am 66 years old and this is the first complaint on any business I have ever posted that's how upset I am. "Caveat Emptor" Went to Fix-It with Fred for a needed oil change and the air conditioner was…read moreblowing warm air. Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.
