My husband does a lot of business here but he has better luck than I do, obviously. It's clean and, well, I guess it's well stocked, but I always end up with employees who either don't know what I'm looking for or try to sell me the wrong item. The last time I was in there, I knew exactly what I wanted but the employee behind the counter/register insisted upon looking it up and then tried to sell me the wrong part. (Not only did I know exactly what I wanted, I had the old part in hand, but it didn't matter, the employee insisted she knew better.) I left without making a purchase. Again. I've told my husband that if he wants a part from here, he'll just have to come here himself. I'm refusing to step foot in this place again. read more

My nephew and I went here to get parts for his car he loves to toy around with. To my surprise this place was clean, very well organized, and did not smell like exhaust systems and dirty motor oil. The staff was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. Also, the layout of the store flowed making it easy for my nephew to locate what he needed rather easily. I appreciated how the signage made promotions clear and the store is bright which makes it easy to distinguish the details. My hat goes off to the manager. It's clear there is a system in place which involves greeting every customer and ensuring the are assisted if need be. The details made all the difference here. read more

I had a light on my car that needed to be replaced and when I walked in one of the customer service reps was counting money and the other one was just walking around spaced out so I'm waiting in line because I didn't wanna mess with the one that was dealing with the money so another customer comes in and the one that was walking around with his head up his ass runs to the counter now and start helping her so I said something oh ma'am there was only one computer that was working but he went to the other computer to start helping her when the guy finish the money to help that was helping me And the one that was walking around spaced out was very rude read more

Fantastic customer service. These guys (especially Jarvis) will go out of your way to find you what you were looking for and answer all of your questions. I went in the other day looking for a VW low beam light bulb housing and, while they didn't carry it, Jarvis did everything he could to find it elsewhere. It was only at the VW dealership off Phillips. Went back tonight after making an online order and Jarvis checked me out. He called me by name and is always super professional. I wanted to take a minute to write a thank you to a wonderful and helpful employee at this location, Bobbi, who helped me when I came in very stressed out earlier today. The battery in my car was dead after not having driven it for a while. AAA came to jump me and told me I could either get a full charge back in the battery by, A) driving to Miami and back, or, B) going to Autozone and having the battery fully charged in one hour. Oh and for free! :) When I got to the store I was pretty stressed already, but Bobbi helped me the whole way. Even coming to check on me while the battery was charging. There is a girl in this store that is ripping the company and customers off,( she is quite chubby wished I had got her name but I am sure Autozone can find her out) she is probably making deals with people on the outside to bring in old used parts as returns and splitting the money with them, I called about a tool for rental and she was not willing to tell me that autozone refund the rental fee in full when you bring the tool back, she want to make unsuspecting customers believe that they actually charge you for the rental, I rented a slide hammer and she processed me, I was also buying a set of tie rods, when she got done with the rental tool without giving me my refund back she went straight for the tie rod order, I said you need to give me my refund for the return of the rental first before we get into the purchase, she was furious, she thought I was one of those suckers, as I had spoke to her before about the rental and probably believe that I had accepted her words that the fee was actually charged for the use of the tool, anyhow she refunded with obvious reservations, and processed the purchase of the tie rods, unfortunately she did not even do that right as she sold me the wrong parts which had to be returned, so really I am not even sure why Autozone has employed this person as her ability and honesty is very questionable. read more

The WHOLE STORE CLAPPED! Here's the story: I thought I needed a new battery the man who helped me (wish I had his name) checked my battery and alternator, all good. Pulling out, my car stalled. He ran a quick test, turns out I needed spark plugs and that I could do it myself. WHAT? Let me explain, I am a 29 year old blonde girl who is coming in there not knowing the first thing about what a spark plug is and this man could have tried to sell me anything. He didn't. He got me what I needed. I spent about $18 bucks and he told me I was about to give my car a tune up. He showed me how to change the spark plug and where to insert my fuel injector. He was very patient and polite regardless of my "why can't you just do it for me" attitude. He went back inside and told me to ask him if I needed help. Because of his master-teaching skills I had my spark plugs in and fuel injector injected in a matter of 10 minutes. I cleaned up and walked inside to return the wrench extension he let me borrow and as I opened the door every single customer and employee gave me a round of applause. It was one of the greatest moments I've had in a while, just sheer awesomeness and playfulness with people at work and strangers running errands. Thank you AutoZone on the Westside for being awesome! Literally just robbed me. I had to do a split payment, cash and debit for my purchase. So they charged me on my debit first then said that the register couldn't do cash. So the rude manager came out and told me they'd have to call someone to cancel my transaction. They eventually did and tried to ring me up on another register but my card was declined. The still rude manager told me that the transaction had been canceled but that the amount on my card was stuck in limbo between auto zone and my bank. I called my bank and they said that the first attempted transaction was posted and the second had been declined, due to insufficient funds. I asked for a receipt of some kind from the manager and he said there was nothing he could produce. The manager says it's in limbo and my bank said it has went through. Worst experience ever! Hopefully I receive my money back and now I know I should have kept my business at Advance Auto Parts read more
