We owned an older travel trailer and had 2 tire blow outs in the same day on the way home from a trip. We were just going to have it fixed and trade it in for a newer one that suited our needs better. We had already gone to a few other dealers to look at travel trailers so we already knew pretty much the floor plan and amenities we wanted so we just needed to narrow it down to make and model. They put us with salesman Gerald. He showed us new and used trailers with what we wanted and others just to make sure it wasn't something we didn't think about. We were up front that we still had to get ours fixed first before we could purchase a new one. He got us with service so they could get an estimate written. Ours ended up having $14,000 in damage and ended up being a total loss. Gerald was so patient and allowed us to put a deposit on the one we wanted until we settled with our insurance company. This took almost a month but Gerald still held the one for us. Not one time did Gerald try to pressure us into buying a better model or something that didn't make sense for us. We finally settled with the insurance company was ready to purchase. Gerald got us scheduled with finance and delivery within a few days. Both of these teams were outstanding. Quick and easy. They advised of additional warranties and upgrades to purchase but no pressure and moved right on when we declined. The delivery guy that showed us how to work everything spent almost 2 hours with us. Everyone at modern Trailer Sales were outstanding. You get a gift certificate and discount in parts on the day of delivery. Even the parts department was great in our special order for what we wanted. We could have purchased this floor plan at a couple of different dealers but Gerald is what made us want to do business at Modern Trailer Sales. I have and will always recommend this place for sales and service.

Dropped my truck off due to low coolant w/ no visible leaks. I asked for the shop to check head…read moregasket due to the fact there was no visible coolant leak. I was told a couple days later that it was a leaking radiator. I again requested to Cecil that the head gasket be checked before I picked it up and was told it was ok. Picked up the truck and the next day it started running hot. I dropped it back off and now surprisingly they say it's a head gasket plus a warped head. Well they didn't take the heads off so unsure how they can tell it's warped w/o xray vision. Now they say I must have let it overheat. I know for a fact it has never overheated and never got over 230. Engine runs at 210 normal operating temp. I asked from the very beginning to do a compression check or a check for compression gases in the coolant because I didn't want to put a lot of money in a truck with 240,000 miles so they made up this problem to get some money out of me anyways.

I had work done on my truck's clutch (and a brake fluid cleaning/refill) this week. I got a reasonable estmate for $600+ and had them go ahead with it. When I went to pay, the manager Eric and Customer Service Rep Mary Lou had looked up warranty information and my bill was only for $430! Who does that? That's what you call CUSTOMER SERVICE, something I'm glad still exists in some places. It felt like they did something with adjusting my brakes, too, in their total inspection process. They didn't say anything about this or charge me, but I'm pretty sure my brakes are feeling better, too. Good people!

We took our Escape in because the air conditioner is blowing warm air. We'd received a quote of…read more$280 from another shop to refill the freon and we suspect that something is leaking because it's not supposed to be warm. We had a fuel solenoid that was intermittently going bad and causing a service light to go off, I had ordered the part but was afraid to put it on myself. It was on the dashboard in a box marked "fuel solenoid" and I forgot to ask about it when the car was taken in for service. After a little while, the mechanic came in and asked us if we wanted the fuel solenoid installed since we had the right part in the vehicle. We were like, absolutely, and they put it right in. Our months of the service light coming on and off have been resolved and our AC is recharged for less than $90! The freon used who indicate a leak that will be exposed with UV dye in the freon if the air gets warm again. This is the second time that Dave's has cost less and done more than other shops for our vehicles. I think that Dave has a mother or a wife or sisters that he respects and appreciates because I have never felt like I was being taken advantage of as some shops do to women. Dave's Auto is prompt, quick, and honest!
