Auto Zone in Rolling Meadows at 2211 West Algonquin Be Very carful what you purchase from this store. The manager here is a scammer. She will try to sell you what you don't need and will not honor warranty on parts . I called and mentioned my battery is not holding a charge And I'm stranded with my 12 year old son , and the guy checked the computer and said bring it in it's under warranty . I get a ride as my car would not start get there and the manager said we can sell me a new battery . Refusing to honor warrantee . The biggest scam is the batteries she tries to sell you the Duralast Gold as it has a 60 months guarantee but she said it was a 36 month guarantee . She tried to sell me a battery for $195 when it said $ 159.99 and my battery was under the 60 month guarantee. Be careful with this scammer. The other thing is she wants to see your ID an records DL # . Real scammer . Last time I buy anything in the Rolling Meadows Location . Very Unpleasant Manager . Auto Zone and Duralast Batteries should be sued for miss leading advertising . They sell you a battery and tell you it has a 60 month warranty when it's really 36 months that this Manager Honors . Had my engine like come on out of no where. I got a suggestion to go here from another auto place down the street since it was free to do test. Customer rep. Was very helpful even not able get into my car per Covid but pointed out sensor from a good 6ft. His name was Jovito great energy helpful. Test showed a air in fuel tank, even with its tight cap it was old and cracking. He pointed it out to me and got a new cap. Also got headlight cleaner best part he gave me all pricing but never pushed up sell on what I didn't need! read more

Called ahead to see if they would be able to help me change a light buld on my car. The gentleman Leo was very professional and answered all my questions. Upon arrival he took my car information and changed the light bulbs no problem. In addition he also changed my windshield wipers for me. His customer service was excellent and he definitely went above and beyond! Keep up the good work! read more

I have to admit I don't know a ton about cars- it's 10 degrees outside and I worked a whole shift at the hospital. I leave work, go to the parking garage and my entire windshield is covered with ice. I must have parked under a drain that was leaking water. Needless to say, I spent 20 mins chipping the ice off my windshield. The ice was so thick it broke both of wiper blades. I carefully drove to Auto Zone (rolling meadows) barely seeing through my windshield and didn't have a clue what blades to get. A very polite lady by the name of Antoinette helped me pick out the wiper blades and even installed them on my car in the sub zero weather! Talk about compassion! I was so thankful to have her help and I tried to tip her- she wouldn't take it. Angels come in different forms. Thank you Antoinette for being so kind and thoughtful to a perfect struggling stranger! There is good in the world! read more

Wow.. Bad customer service.. Wish I can give it a negative stars... They sold me a sensor for my coolant reservoir and it was cool at first, then I tried to install it on my car and it didn't work because the pins in the sensor was bent. I took it back. But instead of giving me a new one they tried to fix it, which made it worst. I tried installing it again and it broke. I went back again for the 3rd time and retuned it and they said they wouldn't refund my money because it was broken.. I argued with the manager which was this grumpy racist Asian woman.. I told her, I wanted a new one but instead they tried fixing the sensor by unbending the pins themselves.. Then she mumbled "f**king Mexicans." I was like what did you say? (Mind you I'm not even Mexican) anyways I had to go to another store to return the sensor.. Hate that Auto Zone.. I hope that they replace that lady with another manager.. read more

Yesterday after a long drive in from Indiana in a snow storm by windshield wipers blade broke. I needed it to drive home. I was so tired and frazzled and I called this Auto Zone and spoke to a guy on the phone and erroneously asked if this was Advanced Auto parts... luckily the man who answered the phone had a great sense of humor. I asked him if I came in can he help me replace and install the wiper blade and he of course said no problem (after making a joke about me calling his store the wrong name). I arrived and asked for him and he was incredibly helpful and again had that same sense of humor about the fact that I called his store the wrong name. I can't remember his name but believe he was the manager! Cheers to him and his customer service skills! Took the sting and frustration out of the mishap after a very long day and drive! read more

I've been pretty satisfied with my experiences at other Autozone stores, but the Rolling Meadows store wasn't what I've come to expect from Autozone. The associate that assisted me provided extremely poor customer service and was rude overall. I came in to have my codes read and she had me wait, which I was fine with. Howevet, she proceeded to handle other matters without acknowledging the fact that I had been standing there. Another gentleman behind the counter asked her to take care of me, but she gave no response. Seeing that she was busy, I asked if I could borrow the code reader and bring it back so she can finish her task. She then walked off. The next moment she comes out from behind the counter and walks towards the front door and asks loudly: "Where's your car?" while I'm still standing at the counter. She was obviously in a rush, but she didn't have to be so rude. She plugs in the code reader and tells me no codes can be read. She provides no explanation. I start my car, to see the check engine light is now off. I don't know if she reset it or not - she never gave me a chance to ask. She walked back into the store like she was glad to finally get rid of me when she never really helped me at all. If you're going to Autozone, go to the store in Schaumburg off of Golf Rd. Friendlier staff there. read more

Stopped here because my back brake light bulb went out. Jose M went out of his way, not only did he find me the correct bulb but came out in the rain to change it for me. Upon replacement he saw 2 nuts holding in place were missing. They were out of the part needed but he wrote down the piece needed so I was able to get right over to Lowes and pick up the piece. A little disorganized. I went to get the "Free checkup" which is basic but seemed to be difficult for their employee. Doesn't look like they have much experience or training when it comes to hooking the machine to your car. Not to sure how reliable his results were either. read more

This is a well-run store with attentive employees. I went there today for windshield wipers and after making my selection, Antoinette at the register asked me if I was sure I had the right kind. I was not certain, so she volunteered to come out and look at my vehicle with me. Then, after confirming I had the right type, she asked if I would like her to put the wiper on the vehicle. I was so surprised! This was outstanding customer service. She came out in a steady rain and spent installed the wiper blade. I was very impressed with this employee. She's a star in my book. read more

Not very pleased with this location. I typically come here because this location is very close to my job. I went in here during lunch one day to purchase a headlight. The cashier that rang me up was obviously new on the job and wasn't too familiar how to use the register( no issue I get that everyone starts new) his peers were so caught up in there own thing they barely assisted. After he finished ringing me up, I asked for assistance with installing the head light, the new cashier asked if that was something they can assist with and one of the managers said yes if it's not too complicated( understood) I went to my car waited and waited and waited no one ever came outside to even see if they could help. I'm very disappointed and more than likely will no go back, I'll use the AutoZone by my house or even use Walmart's automotive section since they are right up the street. read more

I had a very bad experience at this AutoZone. I purchased a new battery from them and the guy there installed it. He did it hastily while talking on his cell phone, which was very impolite. It took him quite some time to get it installed. I was able to start my car finally. However, the next day, i couldn't start the car again. I went to the AutoZone in Rolling Meadows. A young man checked the battery and said it was fully charged. He suspected the problem was with the starter. It didn't make any sense to me. He went back to the store and talked to the female manager. The manager first asked me "are you Chinese?" I replied "Yes" and was surprised why she asked because it had nothing to do with my car problem, and I wondered if she was being racist. She didn't even look at my car and immediately said it was the alternator problem. I googled the problem online and found the possibility of having a loose connection. They still kept saying the starter had problems. Finally, the young man humored my request about the loose connection and agreed to try tightening the bolts. The car was then able to start. This was a total waste of my time. I tried to be polite by saying "thank you" to the manager before I left, but she just nodded rather than apologizing for my many inconveniences, which appeared to be very rude. Also, it almost seemed as though I was the one who was teaching them what to do to the car. This store should hire more competent and responsible employees. I will never come back to this store again. read more
