I needed my 2001 F250 SD rear wiring redone for towing as I bought the truck without a bed and the original wiring was ripped out with it. I have a fabricated flat bed that I wired some old school Ford tail lights yet had no reverse lights, a 22 year old wiring harness end plug left in place to work with, which I did some rigging just to be legal, and a 7 pin towing plug which was DOA I went to U-Haul in Dundee and they turned me on to Master Hitch, after a short conversation with Tom about my "Spaghetti Wiring" I drove to Palatine and after walking in the building I knew in was in the right place and had to get the job done right there and then. My truck was completely rewired in 1-1/2 hours with a new 7 pin plug to replace the original which was green with corrosion, my license plate lights which worked along with my tail lights and blinked with the hazards (weird) now function correctly, only when the lights are on, and I now have functional back up lights, and a new 7 pin tow plug. Nice clean professional wiring job with my "Spaghetti" laying on the floor..LOL...I could not be happier with the work done and the expertise of the guys in back, and will always be 1st on my list for anything towing related. Cool touch was the 30+ year old old school tester on the wall for tail light verification. I recently needed a tow hitch installed on my vehicle. I researched a few possible installers and one of them was Master Hitch. I gave them a call, got an estimate and made an appointment for after all of the required materials would be there. Another shop had a less expensive hitch installation estimate, but their reviews were not as good as the ones for Master Hitch. I am so glad that I went to Master Hitch to do the installation. It is as beautiful as a trailer hitch can be, yet the install is so good that the hitch is hardly noticeable. The trailer wiring is installed in a bracket instead of just hanging. Tom explained to me what I should look for in trailer wiring to make sure that the signals worked properly and that no damage was done to my vehicle. He gave me a sheet that also had that information for future reference. The total due after the very fast installation was a little less than the estimate - no upselling or up charges. My latest visit was to check if the wiring was working on my newly installed brake controller from the dealer.. I had an issue of my brakes not engaging and before I took it back to Mercedes, I wanted the experts to confirm the wiring was ok.
