After I told the shop attendant I didn't want any additional services beyond my oil change, and that I had a $20 coupon, all of a sudden there was a mysterious $25 up-charge added to my bill because my car required "upgraded oil". When I looked at my receipt later, and called and asked why the initial line item was for the oil I needed and was told I had to pay more for an additional upgraded oil, he told me that wasn't what it meant and it was really because they have to "USE oil" for an oil change, according to the technician.... Who would if thunk you would need to use oil for an oil change? Am I right? ‍. Additionally, I watched him manually typed in the up-charge amount himself after I showed him the coupon. I have had 3 of these exact vehicles (still have two) and have gotten 6+ oil changes at other locations, and never once gotten this up charge they are saying is "unique to their location because they are a franchise" . DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. Go to a different location and save yourself the $25 + $20 coupon ($45 off total by not getting screwed by these guys). read more

They did not tighten the drain plug so all the oil leaked out. Hopefully my engine wasn't damaged because I'll have to file a lawsuit. Probably the worst thing that can happen when you get an oil change is for a lazy mechanic not to tighten a drain plug. Beware!!!! read more

I stopped going to Jiffy Lube years ago. I found one here that does tire rotations. So I thought I'd give it a try. I was surprised that the $29.99 tire rotation posted in store was actually $49.99. Luis was the service writer and did a poor job of communicating. He insisted that I use a different oil and up charged me anyway. Incredibly rude and unhelpful!!! I went in for what they claim to be "free top-off service". and was told by an extremely rude service tech named Miz that I would have to go to a dealership for this service because of my electronic oil level gauge that they could not top off - even though the indicator said I needed to add one quart. I've been bringing this auto to this Jiffy Lube and this has never been and issue. The shop was busy and Miz was annoyed by my request and just didn't want to do it. Miz was outright rude and walked away from me as I continued to ask him questions! This guy needs some serious training in customer service!!! Stay away from this place!! Was directed right into service bay without stopping (gets it the two stars), but I'll never go back to this location. He asked what I wanted, and I told him oil change/filter with synthetic oil- he simply nodded and asked me to step out and go to the waiting room. Mistake # 1 - should have asked for the price. After a very few minutes, he called me out so he could tell me all the other ("manufacturer recommended") services I should have done. I declined but not without receiving a lecture about the enormous risks I was taking. I still declined and was sent back to the waiting room. A few minutes later he returned to check me out. But first a request for some kind of charity thing I had never heard of. He was insistent and didn't accept my declining without continuing to ask for the donation. Finally the bill, which was more than I had ever paid, even at the dealership. I questioned the amount and his response was "synthetic oil, you know." I had no recourse since I didn't ask in advance. Best Jiffy Lube I've ever been too. I never went to a jiffy lube where they walk you to the waiting room and hold the door open for you (did the same thing when I left). The lady who helped me was extra extra nice and even gave me a $10 off coupon for future use (I think she saw me taking pictures of everything and figured I was one of those "reviewers"). They also have complimentary coffee inside, so skip your dunkin' donuts trip if you plan on coming here in the morning. Also, they don't bug you about fixing random stuff in your car like other Jiffy Lubes do (you know how they pull you to their computer screen and tell you a gazillion things that need fixing... yeah these guys don't do that). I went there for an AC recharge and oil change. 4 vehicles got there after I did. They were all asked what type of oil etc. I was the very last one when I was there first. I asked if my recharge was done. Said had to do oil change first. Was there for over an hour for a 20 to 30 min job and Serviced last. Not happy with there customer service at all. Amazing customer service! These people are the best! My fiancé and I are traveling across country and needed to make sure that our car had all the fluids it needed and to make sure the tires were okay. The lady who greeted us was super nice and welcomed us very kindly- offered to let us sit in their waiting area which had delicious coffee, water, magazines to read, as well as a tv to watch. Normally I have had a good experience and customer service at Jiffy Lube. Unfortunately that was NOT the case at the Jiffy Lube 191 on York in Elmhurst IL on Thursday 7/6/2017 at about noon CT. I brought my vehicle, a 2002 Chevy Tracker in for a transmission flush and oil change. As part of the routing maintenance the service tech (my invoice says Raleigh B.-Lower Bay) checks the vehicle. When I pulled into the area just in front of the bay, I was told to exit the vehicle, and someone would pull it in. When I drove the car there, and when I exited, I had no leaks in my brake line, nor was my red "Brake" light indicator "On" on the dash. Nor did my foot literally go to the floor when braking. The tech that drove my car into the bay later said that he did not notice any problems with the brakes nor see the light "ON". Flash forward about an hour. Mark the cashier tells me my car is done and it's pulled around to the front. He also tells me that I have a "leak" in my brake line. I told him at the time that's impossible, that I park the car in my drive everyday and there is no leak, I also checked my brake fluid a couple days earlier and it was full. But I presume he is referring to a small "leak", like a drip from a faucet. So I go to pull my car away, and when I step on my the brake to shift the car into drive, my foot nearly goes through the FLOOR ! I then notice my red "Brake" light is on. So I step out and immediately ask Mark "what is going on here"? He says, well I told you you had a leak.....so I walk around to the back of the car, and the ENTIRE area under my car is filled with brake fluid. It was literally SPEWING from a newly cracked brake line. When I asked to talk to the "manager" a guy named I think "Ricardo" comes out and seems totally unconcerned that his technician BROKE my brake like when he was conducting his inspection, then LIED about it, and then Ricardo became confrontational and was completely RUDE and UnProfessional. In addition, they just stood around and expected me to leave the Jiffy Lube with a car that was DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I had NO BRAKES. And these guys are just all standing around looking at each other. There was also a guy there that told me that he is working there (helping) even though he doesn't actually work there anymore. Is that company policy at Jiffy Lube ? To have former employees hanging around and actually helping ? He was the guy that was the most helpful ironically, and when he saw the condition of my brakes, he looked at me like, "wow, this happened here and I know it and you know it, but they are LYING and trying to cover it up." Even Mark M., the cashier, couldn't look me in the eye because he knew they had screwed up and were LYING. When I drove the vehicle there and exited the vehicle, there of NO LEAK. When I got it back there was brake fluid literally SPEWING onto the ground. That happened when the VEHICLE WAS in JIFFY LUBES possession. Then they DENY it, LIE about it, and hand me the keys to a car that was DANGEROUS to drive. This "Ricardo" was combative and an embarrassment to your company. This rude individual showed absolutely ZERO concern he was sending back out on the road with a "ticking time bomb". It's a good thing I didn't kill anyone trying to drive home with NO BRAKES ! Then the "manager" Ricardo, doesn't even listen to me, he's walking away from me, waving his arms saying, "oh so you're trying to tell me that my technicians go around destroying customer's cars on purpose" ? I NEVER said that ! All I was saying is that SOMETHING happened from the time I HANDED YOU THE CAR, to the time you RETURNED it to me. YOU broke the line, admit it, and let's deal with it. Like I go around bringing damaged cars to Jiffy Lube and try to get something that was already damaged for free? Give me a break. In addition, the Jiffy Lube tech that pulled my car into the bay, said there was nothing wrong with the brakes when he drove it, so it happened WHILE THE CAR WAS IN THE BAY. I was to lazy to go to the dealer to get my oil change. I went here for convenience. The lady at the desk was very nice. That's when things got bad. First off watching poor old people in the waiting room getting told she needs fill synthetic oil on a 02 Caravan made me cringe. Than to top it off the guy brings out my K&N air filter which is a lifetime filter and had the audacity to tell me they could clean it for 15 dollars. They push full synthetic on everything bring in a 92 geo they will push synthetic like a drug dealer. Its criminal what they are getting away with. read more

I am beyond grateful for this team at this location. I don't even know where to begin , but I will say I left this location with tears in my eyes and it wasn't because I was upset , it was tears of joy. I went into Jiffy Lube with only $18 on my bank card and was just stopping by to get a quote on how much it'll be to get my car fixed , as I was driving to run errands on Saturday morning my car started overheating and smoking really me bad it scared me to the point I had to pull over immediately and hop out the car with my 3 year old and 3 month old. I did not have the money to get my car towed and lord know I was not tryna pay the dealership price on trying to get my car fixed , I usually go to Jiffy Lube for diagnostic readings and oil changes but this particular time I went to Jiffy Lube in hopes of getting a quote so I can get it fixed and pay for the services the next day which meant I would have had to uber back and forth to work the next day while they work on my car , not a huge problem but as a single mother of 2 I don't have financial funds like that , so Ricardo took a look at my car and came back and told me what was wrong he then proceeded to tell me that he would fix it and I could call the next day and pay over the phone.!!! I was so happy because now that means I wouldn't have had to uber to work the next day and that was $40 I could have saved .. AWESOME! I immediately starting crying and thanked Ricardo so much... it gets better after sitting for another half an hour , another employee Linda whose by the way funny ass hell I love her she tells me that the services performed on my car was on them , free of charge !!!!!!! I could not believe the words that was coming out of her mouth at that point , she told me I had to pay for absolutely nothing , tears flowed from my face so hard I did not know what else to do but say thank you and cry. Not only did they fix the radiator hose that was damaged to my car they also replaced the head light that was broken on the passenger side as well for free , drove to work the next day and had to drop it back off bc it was still leaking and over heating , no problem Ricardo called me while being at work and told me what else he had found and I panicked bc at this point i am thinking this is gonna be a dealership issue and now I'm gonna have to pay this $300-$600 price for the dealership to fix my car although I don't have that kind of money I have to get it done due to this being my only way of transportation for both me and my kids , so i explained to Ricardo I guess i will just have to pay the dealership price and thanked him anyways for his hard work so far , he then told me he could order the part for me that I needed and fix it for me at a very decent price, the price he gave me saved me sooooooo much money let me tell you. Later on that day I get a call from April to pay over the phone , picked up my car that night and it has been driving better than ever since that day. I am forever grateful for the team at this Jiffy Lube not only was they helpful , they was very compassionate and understanding to my personal situation and not to mention I don't need these people from anywhere but just seeing how passionate and genuine they was to helping me showed me that there are really some good nice and genuine people in this world and not everyone is bad or out to get you or crooks or whatever. I can honestly say that Raleigh , Linda , April , and Ricardo are some nice funny reliable , genuine , kind hearted people and that is from experience not what someone told me. I'm sure the rest of the team there are just as nice but those I mentioned were the ones who helped me along my journey of getting my car fixed , when I say I am forever grateful and thankful for this team words cannot express how much I love this Jiffy Lube and the people that work here , this is my family and I've told them that already. Jiffy Lube let me leave with a cracked oil filter Store #191 WO#43 I got an oil change Tue ( 6-29-21 )night at 6pm. I noticed drips on the driveway mid-day Wed. My car was rented out to a guest that was visiting family in Rockford, about 50 miles from this area. I called Jiffy Lube right away & long story short; I was told to stop driving the vehicle & have the guest go to the closest Jiffy Lube to have it looked at. The guest finally got back to me a fews later, as I was driving to Rockford, & she went to Grease Money to get the 2016 Toyota Rav4 looked at. They found a cracked oil filter with some kind of gasket seal on the filter to try to seal the crack. Wed at about 5pm, I went back to Jiffy Lube & talked to Zulma again & asked her to pay the $135 bill from the second oil change. I showed her the pictures of the cracked filter that Grease Monkey took. Quick note, the oil did not register on the dipstick. I left Zulma with a resolution of; I will be getting a call from an accountant & they will be paying me $102.11 for the first oil change & $135.63 for the second oil change. I got a couple calls from the accountant on Thu at about 10am & all I got was $5. It is now Sat morning & I have not heard from anyone since. My biggest concern is that I paid for a service that I did not get. To make things worse, I was in a worse position leaving Jiffy Lube than I was when I got there; and no one said a word. I had to figure out that there was a problem. I saw at least three people hovering over the vehicle like something was wrong. I even asked, "is everything ok"? They told me that they had a tough time getting the oil filter off & recommended that I get a metal one. That's it & they knew there was a problem. There are a LOT more things that went wrong with this whole process, but I just want my; $237.47 - $5= $232.47 back & to make sure something like this does not happen to someone else. Luis L at Jiffy Lube literally takes care of EVERY question or concern you have with kindness. As a woman sometimes I fear being taken advantage of when it comes to car services. But he took the time to show me his suggestions, even show me car parts themselves. Last time I took my vehicle, it would randomly not accelerate. I took it to Jiffy Lube, he ran test, fixed something and the car has been fine. This time my check engine light was on, again a complete diagnostic I even asked if they would check the brakes bc It was squeaky. Again, took the time, made some suggestions, we compared prices for parts I could get (Like I needed a new battery). He just TRULY cares about whats best for the customer. While driving today, I heard lots of noise and found my entire skip plate to be dislodged and barely connected from poor work. I called the Elmhurst location and she encouraged me to come in. SHADY! I have been to this location a few times and it's typically fine. Yesterday, I stopped in for an oil change and got the typical barrage of questions: Can we change your wiper blades, can we change your brakes, etc. Normally, I don't say yes to any of this but this visit was different. They showed me the Cabin Air Filter which was dirty. I've never changed this, so I said, yes go ahead. There was nothing else said about it, and the sales person didn't tell me the cost. I didn't think to ask about the price because, as I looked at the cardboard filter, I didn't think it would be expensive. Boy, was I wrong! They charged me $50 for that filter! Looking it up online, it's about a $10 filter from our local auto parts store. I presented my AAA card, as Jiffy Lube is listed online as offering a 15% discount. The salesperson said he had never seen this before, although he did eventually give me the discount. I ended up paying nearly $100, with the discount. I told the salesperson that I thought this entire experience was shady and poor business practice to not inform customers of the inflated cost BEFORE doing the work. I also said I would never be back! For the amount of money I spent on this, I could have gone to my dealership where they would have done the same work and rotated the tires and wash the car too! read more

I go slightly out of my way to go to this location because the customer service is so good. I waited for 30 minutes today to find out they don't have my oil filter and don't know when they will have it in stock. They didn't offer me anything for my time, top off my fluids, or check my tire pressure, etc. Just sent me on my way. I will not be going out of my way to use this location again. read more

The store was clean (the bathroom, too!), with recent magazines and fresh coffee. (They had a Keurig brewer.) They were prompt and knowledgeable.
