Disappointed with my overall experience on my last service. I have been coming here to service my vehicle ever since I purchased it. Since that time, I have been through at least 5 service advisors. Tina being the only consistent one and now she is on absence. Yesterday, I had a scheduled 11am oil change appointment. I ended up arriving early by chance and dropped it off at 10:45. I was in no hurry so I decided to go for a good walk to kill time since they were not busy and were looking at a 90 minute time frame. When I came back from my walk at 12:30 (walked a good 4 miles) my truck was still in the service lane. I waited in the lobby for half an hour and it still hadn't moved nor had I been given any update. At one o clock I finally inquired and my truck had yet to been touched at all. I was offered a Lyft home which I accepted because I did have some work to get done. My service was finally completed and ready for pick up after four. I left the dealership at 4:30pm. That's a 5 1/2 hour oil change when I was expecting no more than 90 minutes. My job requires me to have a vehicle to drive around. Unfortunately I was unable to do any of my work yesterday once my service started. Imagine if that was played out the other way around? Dealership owners wouldn't be happy I assume. Bait and switch!! These people are the most dishonest car salesmen around. Here is what happened to us: we called Friday before closing to see if they still had the car we wanted to purchase because we wanted to go see it Saturday morning, literally the next day. We told them we were coming from an hour away and wanted to make sure so we don't waste our time. They assured us it was still available. So now it's Saturday morning, we called AGAIN to make sure the car was still there. They assured us it was. We arrive at the car dealership and this young kid comes out and tells us the car we wanted was "just sold"!!! So you're telling me it sold in that one hour it took us to drive there... But guess what? They had these other cars that we might want to see... are you kidding me? They wasted our time, over two hours of driving, they wouldn't tell us who lied to us on the phone because "they have so many people in the sales department" even though the place was practically empty. The car we wanted wasn't even on the lot, so we figured they had a fake posting up to attract people, and then try to sell them other cars. They lied. I was so pissed! Avoid this place! They are dishonest. Ended up buying the car we wanted at the Santa Clarita GMC dealership after this horrible experience. read more

Service dept 10 Had to have a malfuclnvtioning component in my new truck replaced under warranty I've literally stood in line at in n out longer than the time I spent here from Start to finish. Dropped off at 930 am they gave me a beautiful new loaner vehicle inwas out of there by 945 Arthur called me at noon to tell me It was ready. Completely shocked at the other GMC dealer I used to go to cause I'll never go there again. It would take them three days it took this dealer three hours. Truck was all washed. Dropped off. About a week ago, I leased a brand new truck from this dealership. Once I arrived at home I was transferring my stuff over from my old truck into my new truck and discovered drug paraphernalia (foil with burnt markings on it) tucked underneath the driver rear seat. I reached out to sales team and general manager and got no explanation on how this ended up in a brand new truck off the lot! They did not have time to detail my truck when I bought it so they told me to bring it in when I could, they stated that they reached out and offered me a full detail, which was false. They already owed me one. Please be careful and doublecheck the vehicle before leaving this lot.. I decided to do this review since they did not take this seriously. Stay clear of this dealership for service. They are totally incompetent and will make you regret your purchase; regardless how much you may enjoy your vehicle. Numerous attempts and trips back and forth were made to repair my vehicle, with total failure. The worst part was the lack of care from the service team. I had to go to a competitive dealer, and fortunately for myself, the vehicle was repaired properly in one single visit. The level of Customer Service you receive after a sale will always let you know the quality of any business. Alexander GMC is as bad as you might expect. The sales guy, Sam, even commented to me about not understanding why car salespeople aren't trusted. Well... it's because you're all shady. Alexander GMC sold me a vehicle with a broken windshield. When it was brought to my attention about 2 weeks later, Sam refused to offer any customer service and told me to go kick rocks. This is why you're not trust worthy, Sam. Providing good post-sale customer service would have earned your dealership my business in the service department. However, with your poor response, you've lost my business forever and earned a two-star rating. Oh, and your nickel and dime sales tactics are transparent and another reason to avoid this dealership. Carmax is a much better option. UPDATE: Still no word from the sales manager so I updated this to a one star rating. They told me I HAD to buy "protections" which was the usual scammy ceramic protection and Lojack device. Door paint protectors for 995$!!!! You can buy them on Amazon for 20 bucks! I asked if I had to buy them, they said yes. Couldn't even accommodate a discount for a product I didn't ask for or want. Kept saying "their already on the vehicle". Finance manager was extremely rude had the attitude of a child and reeked of cigarettes. Never once met the sales manager but instead teenagers pretending to be sales managers. Kept telling me to put in my credit to get the price I wanted. My credit is excellent and I am not putting it in until a price is reached in writing. Then told me the price is "limited time special" and that I needed to make a decision right there otherwise I lose the discount which is probably another scammy lie to hit their quotas. You cant blow someone's phone up and force them to make a 70k$ decision. Don't shop here unless you want scammers to spam your phone to buy their overpriced trucks . By far the worst experience I've had with purchasing a vehicle. Purchased a truck from them in 2020 with absolutely no issues, went back to purchase an SUV. Prior to even providing my DL I informed staff I needed the car to be delivered, they stated there would be a wait but no issues w delivering. Delivering the vehicle was a precursor to purchasing the vehicle. 1) tried to provide me with a price that was higher than what was advertised online. When I brought it to their attention they stated "oh that was a Halloween special but we'll honor it." I checked online at that exact time and the advertised price was still online. It was 8k less than what they initially tried to provide me 2) informed employee I did not want to finance- employee suggested I put my money in a high yield savings to save money and finance my vehicle. 3) when everything was settled they came back out and asked if I could "do them a favor and take the car now" because I would be taking away from company time and sales if someone were to deliver. Then tried to incentivize me to take the vehicle home by providing me a free detail and gas money when I had initially started the vehicle needed to be delivered, then they stated that I should be afraid if something happens to the vehicle I.e. a customer hits it while on the lot if I were to not take it with me immediately. This honestly caught me off guard and I was irritated because I had stated a precursor to purchasing the vehicle was that it needed to be delivered! All in all never returning there again, to top it off I had pointed out scuff marks in the leather and glove compartment that needed to be cleaned and they did not do so. Everyone was nice but the way that they tried to force me tot take the car home and the scare tactics that they tried to use I definitely would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from there and will sadly not be returning. read more

Sorry for the rant, but this needs to be said. Arthur in the service department just cost this dealership a lot of money. It all started with the sale of my new Hummer EV. The truck wasn't ready until late at night when they were about to close--not a big deal. The sales guy I worked with was amazing--thorough, knowledgeable, and made sure I understood everything I needed before I left. However, as I was driving home, just as I entered the freeway, the emergency service light came on. Annoying, but I figured it was probably just a software update that should have been handled before delivery. The next day, I also noticed an issue with the heater--blowing hot on one side and cold on the other. So, I called the dealership and scheduled a service appointment, bringing the car in on Friday, hoping it would be done by the weekend. Then came Arthur. I never received a single call from the service department. I had to chase them down, repeatedly calling on Monday and again on Wednesday. Arthur, to put it mildly, was clueless. He constantly made excuses and had no real idea what was going on with the tech team. When I finally spoke with him on Wednesday, he promised to call me in the morning--or at the latest, before lunch. No call. By 2 PM, I called again, and Arthur finally answered--laughing about how funny it was that I happened to call because he was "just doing my paperwork." Then he told me my car needed parts for the air conditioner to function properly. After a long pause, he suddenly changed his story--no, actually, everything was working fine, and I could come pick it up. So, I drive 30 minutes to Alexander GMC, only to have Arthur now tell me that my car was NOT fixed. Apparently, it worked earlier, but now, magically, it wasn't working again. To make matters worse: * The car was filthy after sitting there for over a week. * The battery was at only 27%. After all that time, they didn't even bother charging it. When I asked Arthur why it wasn't charged, his excuse? "Because you wanted the car in such a hurry." A hurry? What the hell is he talking about? The car sat there for a week, and the only thing they did was a software update that should have been done before I even took delivery. This guy is full of excuses and has now cost the sales department a future customer--not just me, but everyone I know in Simi Valley, including multiple businesses. I've purchased over 30 cars in my life and have never had such a bad experience with a service department. Shame on the owner and sales managers for allowing this guy to run their service department. This place treats potential customers like suckers. We went to look at a particular vehicle. Overly friendly (red flag). Then the old "we need a copy of your driver's license" line. They were told NOT to run a hard credit check as we had just arrived and hadn't made a decision. "We won't." Surprise. Five minutes later we were alerted to a hard credit check being completed. When confronted they tried to lie their way out of it. We showed them the cell phone alert. They denied they had done it. Wife and I immediately got up to leave. "Where are you going? I thought we were friends?" Friends. We just met, we were potential customers and the first thing you do is lie and go behind our backs. 18 months later and that credit check is still on our record. I'm not someone who exactly loves the process of vehicle purchase, but I recommend putting yourself in the capable hands of Alexander GMC. Yesterday my wife and I, after some less than adequate experiences at other places, decided to drive further away than normal and head out to Simi Valley, based on positive reviews, and website information suggesting they had stock available we were interested in. We were first greeted by I think Marck Garcia (I'm looking at their "meet our team" page) who was friendly and helpful. Instead of ignoring my wife, who was the one shopping, we were both treated as welcome guests equally, which is a nice change after other experiences we had where she was ignored. She's the "car guy" in our relationship, I'm not really. Marck turned us over to Abbas, who was a newer addition to the Alexander team. Abbas knew more about our questions than anyone in the prior dealerships we had been to. But even better, when he didn't know the answer to something, he FOUND OUT rapidly and then related us the data. He was factual and helpful and friendly and accomodating. He also assisted as the process went on, helping expedite things competently and rapidly. We were given to Dennis Marazitto, probably because they could detect the faint scent of lasagna on us being a half Italian family, so we were quite at ease. Joking, I don't know why they gave us Dennis. Dennis worked with us and there was some back and forth, but it was way more rapid and less irritating than any other time I've been at a dealership. And with a wife being the "car guy" and the fact that she changes cars every three years, believe me when I say I have had my fill of this part of the process. Dennis had a manner that destressed the process. He felt more like an advocate than a sales person, and I appreciate that and his boss should appreciate that too, because that = sales, speaking as a salesman and a manager of sales people at my own company. We came to an agreement. We were assisted by the finance guys along the way, but the only one we met was Mike Skobin. Mike made the end of the process easy and comfortable. He is a cool guy, relaxed manner. You get the idea "this is going to happen according to plan" with him. And it did, no surprises, no disappointments. Ours was a complicated process due to our own weird situation of moving money around, needing a loaner car, doing a trade in, but they made every step easy!! I used two exclamation marks there on purpose. This is not what normally happens at a dealership. Today we are receiving delivery of a giant gleaming ice blue Hummer EV, and everyone on my street is going to say "there goes the neighborhood." Damned straight! Naw joking. It's an HOA, I'm surrounded by nosy people, I'll behave. I really have only ever said this once in my life: I would recommend others go to this dealership. They make a complicated and involved process about as easy and confrontable as it can be made, and I appreciated getting done and home in time to spend time with visiting family from out of state. read more

We made and confirmed an appointment on the same day with them to come and test drive and make a deal on it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! This was my first and last time leasing a GMC. I leased a new car that began to leak transmission fluid after owning it for a few days. We took the car in to get it fixed and they had it for over a week. When I took it in to get fixed they told me "I think the factory workers were being lazy that day and didn't torque the bolts right". So somehow this car managed to make it through quality control without them catching the defect in the transmission. Due to the car being in the shop for 7 days the dealership set up a rental car but when I arrived there was no rental car available. When I went to speak to my salesperson (Jeron) about my concerns he walked in the office smelling of marijuana, not to mention when my salesperson (Jeron) was selling me the car he was cursing profusely in front of my two small children. When I asked to speak to the general manager he gave me a song and dance about how they couldn't help me. My wife and I persisted and he said the owner of Alexander GMC would call me. What I got was a call from the general manager La'mel who pretended to be the owner. He told me he couldn't do anything to help. Then when I told him I was scared to have my kids in that car he told me a story of how he had a car problem once, as if that was going to make things right. Also, when I asked about what interest I was going to pay they told me "there is no interest, since it is a lease". What they didn't tell me was they were charging me interest under a different name (the name they used was "rent"). With all that said, this dealership didn't lift one finger to make right on this deal. This is the most unprofessional and disrespectful people I've ever dealt with. So save yourself the headache and DO NOT BUY OR LEASE A CAR from this place. They are not transparent whatsoever when writing lease agreements and hide extra fees. They allow their vehicles to leave the lot with major defects that are a safety hazard, and they are difficult to reach via phone and unhelpful. read more
