Marcos S. (Sales manager) a disgrace to Autozone. Bought a battery day 1, day 2 bought a starter. Took both battery and starter cores back for refund. Did not need a credit card to get core refund on starter, made me go home for credit card for refund on battery. I told him to check both my email addresses when he said he couldn't find my purchase on his system. He told me if I didn't go home and get my card that day, and he had to close out the register, then I would not be able to get my core refund at all!! Even if I had been willing to drag out that heavy battery back to my car! After going home and getting my card, when I called him out on his hypocrisy of no Card needed for starter but needed one for battery he didn't want to discuss. This issue is one of someone who is totally stuck on a POWER TRIP. Outrageous that he would make a customer go home for a credit card when he was willing to refund for one of the cores. I visited AutoZone this past Wednesday at 12:51pm. I was passing through this area and suddenly found myself with a DEAD BATTERY. Naturally, I rushed to AutoZone expecting urgent assistance. A young man did check my old battery to verify the issue, which was the bare minimum of helpfulness. After confirming the inevitable, I was presented with options and bought a new battery. Here's where the RAGE kicks in: I shelled out $200 for a new battery, expecting that since I'm a stranded customer. After purchasing I assumed the worker would help with the installation. I have NEVER replaced a car battery before! Instead, after taking my money, the worker had the audacity to say he had to "CLOCK OUT" and vaguely mentioned I needed "tools to replace the battery." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The least you could've done was ask other workers to assist me. You sell me a $200 piece of equipment that is useless to a stranded customer( I live 60 miles away) without tools or expertise, and then you just walk away?! This is beyond poor customer service; it's NEGLIGENCE! I was left there, battery in hand, utterly helpless and furious. It took the kindness of a COMPLETE STRANGER in the parking lot to help me install the battery--the very service AutoZone should have provided. read more

I normally have a good experience here but this morning when I went in to return an item, the return was started only for the employee to blow me off for over ten minutes to help with another walk in customer. Had a very bad experience today. The bald hispanic man with glasses probably in his 50s, conveniently not wearing a name tag, was very rude and inconsiderate. I went inside to get windshield wipers as the weather is not to be desired currently and my old wipers were not up to par. I spoke to an unrelated associate who kindly pointed me to the wipers that I needed. I purchased and started to install them, and it was then that I realized they didn't fit. I went back inside to get some assistance and the rude employee then came to help outside. He then started to blame me for the wipers not working and said I couldn't return them. I told him they were the correct wipers on the computer and he told me I was wrong, and he began cussing under his breath. I observed the wiper I purchased and realized they were used. I told the worker that the wipers must have been used, return and resold, and he once again told me I was wrong and that I picked out the wrong wipers. I told him once again they were the ones that came up on the computer and he told me he was "old school" and he "doesn't f**k with" the computer system. I asked him if I could return the faulty wipers and get one's that work. He told me no and continued to blame me. It took much insisting to get new wipers before he begrudgingly accepted. He asked if I would like him to install them on my car, to which I agreed. He installed the wipers all while he complained, groaned, and cussed while doing so. He also threw the old wipers and trash on the floor without cleaning up after himself. I thank him and he walked away without a "you're welcome." One of the worst experiences I've had with a business and service associate. I will be going to O'Reilly's from now on. read more

Women beware!!!!! I have shopped here many times in the years I've lived in Moorpark, however I always know what I'm there to get. This time, I needed a battery for my car and the salesman tried to tell me I needed a special energy battery type for my car- it's required! It was going to be $200-250 for the battery alone. Now, I am a female, but I'm not a dumb unknowledgeable one! I know what batteries go for, I know my car (which is a very common car and not a "special" one) and I know that this guy is doing what stereotypical mechanic do to women. Completely sexiest. I have a very close relation to my dealer and just to confirm, he did let me know my car doesn't require such "special" batteries, and the dealer only charges $130! And ever with labor, it is cheaper than $200! I am disgusted with this location and the way they handle women! read more

We went in there for a new battery expecting to spend $160.00 and Joe and Ruben took the time to do a price match and the total ended up being $93.00. But then Ruben pulled up our rewards account and found out our old battery was still under warranty. Joe explained that we needed grease and felt pads to war off corrosion. Long story short, we walked out of there only having to pay $4.00 for the felt and grease and $0 for the battery! Joe and Ruben were great, very helpful, friendly. I need to replace a headlight and he finds what I need using the computer, he grabs the item from one of the aisles, processes my payment and I'm out the door within minutes. He let me know all my options and didn't try to push or up-sell me on anything, was friendly, and I had a really positive experience. So glad this location is close to home. Went back in the morning, they still did not have, they said they would have it in a couple hours, went back a few hours later and they still did not have. Went back today, they finally had it. this place by far has the worst customer service. They are constantly going threw employees cause they either get fired or quit cause that's such a shitty job!. I had an employee tell me I had all day to grab my motor oil. Basically complaining that I had all day to come grab it and I shouldn't of waited until 30 minutes before closing time.
