Which dragged to 11 days !! I never was told when it would be done and never offered a rental truck!!! Also they are scammers and tried to tell me I owed them $239.00 !!! I confronted them and they brushed it off !!! And said that it was a mistake!!! They kept my car for almost two weeks and couldn't be bothered to communicate like professionals. No updates. No courtesy calls. Nothing. I had to chase them down repeatedly just to get the most basic information about my own vehicle. That's not service -- that's incompetence. When I finally got my car back, it was disgusting. Covered in dust and dirt like it had been sitting outside collecting grime the entire time. After holding someone's vehicle for that long, returning it filthy is beyond disrespectful. It shows exactly how little they value their customers. And then the cherry on top -- I start the car and the radio is BLASTING at full volume. It nearly blew out my eardrums. They asked what kind of payment i am looking for, and i told them I'd like in the $500 range. They called me back and said because of my credit they called a few banks and got me approved in the mid $700, does this sound good ? They called several times asking me to drive in and take it for a test drive, and they would have someone bring my other car back, I'm already approved ! I went to the dealership, test drove and they said you Love it don't you? I said of course, I'll take it. Then they told me the price was going to be $1067 I asked what bank is the loan approved with, the finance manager said he did not want to tell me what bank, because he didn't want me to go to another dealer with the loan i got approved with. I left and missed a day of good football and spent a large part of the day wasting my time and dealing with their lies and dishonesty. They are not honorable people to do business with. A few days later, The back office called and told me the bank wanted to know if i was still interested in the loan, and that there is year end clearance deals and they would probably come down in price. I then noticed that the dealer actually raised the price of the truck to $39,480, and said the previous price was $40,980! ( lies ) ??? After a few days i received dozens of letters from banks, credit unions, stating the loan amount was for $43,838 The Toyota Tacoma TRD pro was priced at $38,480 I was giving $2000 down, and said I'd take care of taxes , license and registration. I called and asked The finance manager why were they trying to get a loan for $7400 more then what i am paying? It seems that dealers look for a larger loan in hopes they can sell you extended warranties, rental car coverage, road side assistance etc. Personally... Buyer beware! Don't waste your time. I used Carfax.com to research a used vehicle. After reviewing many vehicles in the area online, I contacted Simi Valley Chrysler Dodge. A test drive appointment was made. The vehicle was advertised for a reasonable price compared to similar cars of type, mileage, age, etc. no huge bargain, but reasonable. One caveat.... The car had been offered ffor nearly 3 months by this time. First clue something wasn't right. When I walked on to the car lot, I was greeted by a somewhat aggressive salesman. Second clue... watch out, I thought. I told him I was there to see (not going to give out names). Another guy came out, then directed me to the salesman I had spoken to on the phone regarding the test drive. The test drive went well with yet another guy. I was serious about buying the car and was directed into the sales office. The trap was set..... next victim! Me... Going from someone riding with me, a sales guy, or two, then ultimately directed to a Sales Manager.... Too much! A high pressure sales pitch went on and on. Facts and figures were discussed. A service contract was encouraged. The final blow, detrimental to any possible sale was the presentation of a non-negotiable $3,495 fee ADDED to the advertised price. (In addition to the usual, tax, license, documentation, etc.) It included some kind of "security" device and plastic strips on the door edges to prevent chipping. When I challenged the extra fee, the guy indignantly told me most dealerships have add-ons like this..... Not! Just add the extra $$$ on to the ADVERTISED price and move on. Quit the playing around with numbers! I understand it's a strategy to get a buyer into the dealership, then "simply" add it into the monthly payments. To be fair to the dealership, the extra $3,495 was mentioned in the fine print. I needed to read the advertisement better! To say the least, I would not recommend this dealership. Horrible I dropped off my Dodge Ram TRX with only 7,306 miles on it because it wouldn't start. What followed was the worst service experience I've ever had. The dealership kept my truck for an entire month and still couldn't fix the problem. I had to call and follow up every single week because they clearly do not care about their customers. Randy was my assigned service advisor, and every week there was a new excuse: the service techs were out sick, Randy himself was out, or some other delay. After a month of this, I finally requested to pick up my truck even though nothing was resolved. Randy initially apologized and promised my vehicle would be ready at 8am on a Monday. That turned into 10am, then 3pm, and finally 5pm. When I arrived at 5, Randy wasn't even there. The manager, Peter, then told me the vehicle had to stay yet another night. After all that, they had the audacity to try and charge me $478 for labor--for dismantling my truck and failing to fix it. To add insult to injury, I had to pay $240 out of pocket to have the truck towed to the Van Nuys dealership myself. This dealership wasted a month of my time, strung me along with excuses, provided no solutions, and then tried to bill me for their incompetence. Totally unacceptable. Buyer beware - All used car prices are $2995 more at the dealer due to a lojack they pre-install and claim they can't remove from the invoice. Also, don't bother unless you are financing your car. I arrived for my appointment at 5:30pm (confirmed all details beforehand, even my payment method to wire the money). I was sat and left in the back room until 7:30pm being told I needed to wait for the General Manager to call back to approve my purchase. At 7:30pm I looked through the window and watched one of my salesman giving another couple a full tour of the car I was there to buy. I found the my other salesmen and asked them directly about it. They said they weren't sure and suggested what I saw wasn't what I saw. They went to the GM's office. Only the salesman who was selling to other couple came back out, made no mention of what I'd raised, and told me the GM couldn't approve the sale because I wouldn't finance. I have now walked onto this lot 3 x over 3 years. Not one person helps at any visit. I watched the ever changing sales managers in their office look at me and continue to chat amongst themselves ignoring the foot traffic. I've stopped in at the times of 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Today the same response. Look at me out the window and turn away. One time I did venture into the building and an owner ( he claimed) approached me and after asking about inventory I was brushed aside. This is not typical for a dealership as we know. Profiling exists here by the Indians who bought it several years ago. They do not deserve business here. The dealer in Canoga park was able to find the model and most importantly considered professional. These guys don't deserve American buyers. Shop elsewhere. If I could give a no star review, I would.... My dad had his 2006 Chrysler 300 in the shop last year for the engine, after calling numerous times and the car sitting there for three months, they finally finished it. A month or two later, one lifter was replaced, under the engine 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty. Three weeks ago, the radiator hose came off and he lost all coolant on the freeway and he immediately pulled over and called to have the truck towed back. After waiting for those three weeks, they finally fixed the car and told him he owed $1500 for the repairs. I went with him and tried to argue about the cost since he also had the oil changed at the same time, I felt all he owed was the amount for the oil change. The service manager stated that the hose clamp was loose and they wouldn't honor the warranty because the hose, clamps and the coolant wasn't part of the engine????????? They were the last one to touch the car, my dad doesn't take the car to anyone else, he's taken the car there for the last 20 years since he bought the car. I tried to explain the warranty and they were determined that they weren't going to cover the repairs under that warranty. I also told them he was 90 years old and on a limited monthly amount, they didn't care and that stupid Seneca girl didn't care, all they wanted was their money. I'm ready to contact a lawyer and claim "Elder Abuse" Steer clear from this service shop because all they want is money, no customer service skills and they won't work with anyone. Super disappointed. Brought my jeep with only 70k for an oil change. Got it back and it was leaking oil. I brought it back and they said it was the seal between the oil filter and the oil cooler. There is well documented issue that when you over tighten the filter it causes this exact problem. The dealership of course is saying that's not what happened but there was no leak when I brought it and there was a leak when they returned it. I have a warranty and I told them i dont have any problem with them running the repair through the warranty to get their work compensated. However, I did have the Jeep serviced just prior to returning my lease so that I would have a car to drive daily. I asked for a rental car 3 different times since dropping it off 56 days ago, since they are the cause of my not having my car, for a time period that they can not tell me how long it will be. They said they dont have rentals and they wont be doing that for me but they will waive my deductible for the warranty, $100. Well that isn't really enough to cover a rental for two days much less the over a week that it will certainly be with the holiday. I've heard bad things about the service at our local Jeep but it's just an oil change. I figured thats stuff that even jiffy lube can handle. What a mistake. I have the lifetime warranty because I am a lifetime Jeep owner and driver all of my adult life...which is many many years. I dont feel like i was asking for too much to request a rental while they fix what they broke. I wont be back and recommend you, the reader, consider other options. read more

I had my van towed here in April/May 2022 because 1 of the front tires could not be put on. The engine & battery were working great, absolutely no issues there. They said it might take a while because parts were still backed up from COVID. After 6 to 9 months I called for updates. They were waiting on the last part, then they stopped responding to my calls. After about 1 1/2 years since dropping off the van I received responses, as if they had a script written out "we just got the last part in, it will be installed on Thursday and I'll call you Tuesday to confirm it's ready." After getting that script for a couple months they said there was actually one more piece they were waiting on "Mercury Insurance" to send. "I've never had Mercury Insurance, I have AAA and they have already paid you." I called AAA. They called Simi Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep (SC), & were told there was no paperwork at all in the file, no notes or check. AAA had to cancel the first check they had sent 1 1/2 years before to issue a new one written to SC & me so it couldn't be cashed without my signature. Miraculously the parts were found, the tire issue was fixed. My van had been sitting in SC's lot for 1 year 9 months, never getting turned on, under the SoCal sun and heat, when I dropped it off the engine had zero problems. I didn't know the service center would let my van sit for so long without the simple act of turning it on regularly to keep the battery good, the belts & fluids from drying up. The van was done. I went to get it a few days later. I asked about the insurance check, it was already cashed. They didn't have the paperwork so there was not a copy to give me. My van was brought up & left running, it had just been fixed and hadn't been driven for a good test drive, I got in & drove straight home, no stops or detours. I got into my driveway, shifted into reverse & rolled down the driveway into the street, pressed the brake, tried to shift into drive. It stuck! The reverse camera was on, the engine was in reverse, the shifter was in park & wouldn't move, the engine stopped. I was sitting in a totally dead van across the street in front of my home after returning from the service center! I called the service department, it was closed, I spoke with a salesman who found someone from the service department. All they could tell me was to have it towed back. The tow truck driver determined the battery was totally dead. He couldn't shift it from reverse/park. Using a power box he had, he drove it in reverse to get it out of the street, backing into the driveway. The battery was totally dead, the transmission was in reverse, the shifter was in park, the keys were stuck. A few days later I had it towed back to SC. If it was something related to the accident the van had initially been brought in for they would fix it, otherwise it wasn't covered. I asked about the engine & battery issues being a result of the van sitting in their lot for almost two years without being run at all, draining the battery, drying out the belts and fluids. The response was that it didn't need to be run while sitting out there. A new battery was needed, the transmission belt was no good, how was I going to pay for the testing, new battery and belt? These problems were a result of the service department's lack of care during the almost two years the van sat in their lot. They should fix the problems and then return my van. It was the right thing to do. It was explained to me that the dealership & service center were now under a new owner my issue was something for the old owner. When you purchase a business you also purchase all the crap that business is in the middle of. Did I want to get a new vehicle to replace the van, they would give me a good deal & use the van as down payment. They needed to do the right thing. I would consider having my van fixed at their cost or an even swap with a small used hybrid as fixing the entire situation. I felt this was a more than fair offer since their actions caused the problem. Obviously they didn't do the right thing. Now I am worse off, then when I first brought the van to them. read more

As much as I want to continue to call and remind them, I don't trust the work will even happen, so I'm left stuck. Higher end dealers and brands have top notch service departments that rpdie themselves on customer service, and as a result, pull in large revenue for the dealer. Why on earth wouldn't you invest on something that will make you money. These people lie and change agreed upon prizes when they write up the contract and when you call there is no call backs. They only care about adding all of these protection plans and extended warranties that they claim they can't change or reduce cost. That needs to be fixed I am having continued issues with my vehicle which I documented thoroughly and was told what was needed from me even though I did it in detail. I brought my RAM into the dealership for a washer pump malfunction... Kevin took my repair problem and worked with me to get this repair solved..Later that day he called me to inform me that they needed to order a part...so I had to leave my truck there an extra day...The part arrived the next day and Kevin had me back on the road within 2 hours....Now this wasn't Kevin's fault...the problem lies with the dealership not have sufficient parts for a fast repair..Maybe this dealership needs to have a better inventory to handle such problems...This is the second time within 2 months that the parts weren't available for my repair..Kevin did an awesome job on getting me out of there in a timely manner.... read more

I have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealer location, my understanding its under new ownership now. Took my vehicle in for warranty repairs ( fully covered by my extended package ) Zero ( 0 ) follow up Today im on Day 5 with no vehicle, no loaner and no rental. Paying for Ubers and Friends to get me around. GM / Manager - No response after leaving messages. Talk to warranty company - they are still waiting for call from the dealership to submit claim for approval. Told them what was wrong based on conversation from the service dept. Nothing my warranty company can do until The service dept submits claim for repairs - This is Mind Blowing considering i dropped 100k on cars with this dealership. My policy covers rental car , i cant get one until dealer calls in claim so im stuck. Warranty company "Tell the dealership to call us ASAP" I told them yes i have told them 1/2 dozen times. This has been the worst experience with customer follow up, excuses and communication. I will not be going back here ever again. Thousand Oaks has much better service and follow up. Being stranded in 115 degree weather for 5 days straight. each time you call you get an excuse why your vehicle is just sitting there not being fixed. I would never recommend anyone going here again. Customer Service = 0 Follow up = 0 Urgency = 0 Excuses = 100 Now my parts are sitting but i still dont have an appt to get the same day job done. Warranty company = excellent , they call back, follow up - you call and ask for Service Manager or GM - they never return your calls. DONT BUY HERE Don't believe the good reviews on this page, i have been going to this location for 8 years and hands down this is the absolute worst experience dealing with repair shop.
