Horrible experience! These people don't know auto parts, their entire system is flawed, a even when you buy a lifetime warranty part, never assume the process will be easy if you have to use that warranty! Standard 5 to 8 days waiting period for the part and zero updates, all because I didn't pay for the item twice! And the customer service sucked hard! I only strayed from O'Reilly's because they didn't have my part in stock! Big ol mistake! I won't be doing that one again!!! Sheesh! The horrible customer service by "Kenzie" I had a dead battery in my car and I went to this location because I have been doing business with AutoZone for decades and I know that they loan jumper boxes to customers. But not Kenzie at this location.I drove Three miles across town to the other AutoZone and they had absolutely no problem with loaning me the jumper box to get my girlfriends car started. Amber was awesome she said she didn't have one in stock but she made a call and within a couple hours she had it in store. might not sound spectacular but I have a specialty euro that no one wants to work on. Brain the store manager is AMAZING!! We broke down about 30 minutes outside of town yesterday.....we bubble.gum fixed it to make it to Grants Pass. It appeared to be a fuel issue so we started with the filter....boy was that fun in a parking lot. We thought ok now we're good but 6 blocks away it died again.....the nearest autozone was not the one we just left and we pushed and babied the vehicle there. There was a code light and turns out we didn't need a fuel filter but we did need a sensor. Of course it was at the other AutoZone and not the one we were at. We had absolutely no way to pick up the part. Brian, the manager, actually went to the other store and picked it up!! What amazing service and what a way to save our day. We got the part in and we are back on the road. Even if we break down in a few more blocks Brain provided outstanding service during a stressful time. read more

On a long road trip from the Bay Area to Eugene Oregon, we encountered car problems. Bad battery or bad alternator? There was no way to tell at the time but what we could tell is that at 5pm on a Friday evening, we were in deep shit. After getting the runaround from some total morons at Lithia's Grants Pass Auto Center (thank God we left the car running), we headed down the street to AutoZone. Best decision of the day, let me tell you! Not only did they have our battery in stock which Lithia's did not (even though they said they did on the phone), but the nice kid that rang us up (sorry Kid, forgot your name) offered to test my alternator for me. Are you kidding me? You mean to tell me after this hellish day we had--not only do you HAVE my battery, but you're going to go the extra mile and check this out for me? OKAY! Sure enough, we pull up my Jeep, he hooks up his little machine thingie and what do you know? My alternator's fine! We could rest easy knowing that with our new battery, the rest of our weekend was going to be smoooooth sailing...thanks Kid! I highly recommend Grants Pass AutoZone. They were knowledgeable, pleasant, easy to deal with and went out of their way when they saw that we were in a tough situation. read more

I have shopped at this store for quite some time now. I went in the other day to purchase some items, but had to turn around and leave due to the way an employee spoke to someone over the phone. There was a young, skinny blonde girl, whom I've never seen before, behind the counter arguing with someone on the phone telling them that they were wrong because she knew more than they did and that they were obviously stupid for telling her so. She then told them that if they didn't shut up and listen to her then she was going to hang up on them. I have never heard of any retailer saying those things to a customer over the phone. After she hung up the phone she pulled her cellphone out and starting texting and walked into the back as if she wasn't to be disturbed while at work. The other day I noticed that they have signs on their doors stating that they had a 6-foot rule due to the coronavirus. Sadly, that wasn't true. Employees were side by side, customers were hanging on the countertops, only one employee was wearing gloves, the store didn't smell like it had been disinfected in quite a while. Unless they teach that skinny blonde girl manners and start abiding by the rules for the pandemic we are experiencing, I won't be returning to this store. read more

Always friendly and helpful but the Duralast batteries they sell are junk. They are now made in Mexico. They replaced the first one (two months old) buy the second one still will not hold a charge if the car is not started for two weeks. Stay away from Duralast. In my other car is a ten year old Diehard and it can sit for twelve weeks and start up every time. read more

I have lived in this area my entire life and always have had alittle trouble coming into this place! The trouble has been customer service and urgency to the customer. I came in today just to buy fuel system cleaner and there were three employees on duty two of them were stocking the shelves in the back and one of them was helping a man at the counter. Now I can understand if you're in the middle of a transaction or something that requires you to have your attention on that customer at all times but he was talking about possible parts that he could put on his car and seeing if they can find those parts now at first it seemed like he needed to be there and help this customer but they were just browsing through different books finding things and basically chatting about the what ifs. See I'm the kind of person when I walk into a building I want someone to recognize that I'm there and show me customer service and say quote I'll be right with you sir or it'll just be a minute. But no I stood there for almost 10 minutes waiting for someone to even make eye contact with me seeing the other two employees slowly stock the shelves and laugh about something and when one of them saw me he kept moving on knowing that I probably have been standing there for a long time. After that 10 minute period that I clocked on my watch finally one of the employees came up to me slowly without any sort of customer service for asking how I was doing or even saying sorry for the wait rang me up for the one item that I had and and said goodbye so I'm appalled at this business and what they're trying to accomplish here because if you want to keep your hometown reputation you need to have the best customer service in town that's why places like Les Schwab across the street are still in business because they honor their guests immediately and show them the respect for coming in and purchasing or getting the service that they need to get. This is why I go over to O'Reilly's mostly because the second you walk in the door they ask a how you doing today? Or will be right with you! So I will not be coming back to this autozone. I have been the other autozone and they have been great this one though needs a lot of work and I strongly suggest that they think about who they have there as employees. read more
