A car shop was charging me $1500+ for a tension bolt removal/replacement and $100 just to look at it. I wanted quality work done. Two weeks later, they came out, diagnosed my vehicle (five separate engine codes and an oil leak), and told me they'd pick the vehicle up the next day. They also told me that when the work was done they'd return it. They didn't pick it up the next day. In fact, it took them another 10 days before they came and got the vehicle. They worked on it that day and contacted me at the end of the day and asked if I'd like to come get it, because they couldn't bring it back that same day. I let them know that I couldn't drive out there and would like it returned as they said. I was promised it would be back the next day or the day after. Two days pass and no vehicle, so I contacted them and was informed "We don't return vehicles. We don't have time to do that. We usually don't pick them up either, or charge a fee for it, but we gave you that for free." So, I drove an hour to pick up my vehicle. On the way home, the check engine light came back on. Assuming it was just an issue with one of the sparkplugs (the technician who worked on my car told me it still had a very slight misfire), I went ahead and just brought it all the way home. Once there I hooked it up to my OBD reader and realized that FOUR of those five engine codes were still present. I spent $1,350 to have my wife's van repaired, and waited a MONTH. At the end of all that, they've eliminated ONE engine code, and for all I know it's still leaking oil. Absolute worst mechanic experience I've ever had in my life. I'd bring it back to make them fix it, but I don't trust them to not make it worse. Avoid AT ALL COSTS.

Matt and team took the time to properly diagnose my vehicle and worked through the logical steps before recommending major repairs. They even found one issue that was simply a disconnected component, and fixed it on the spot without taking advantage of the situation. Many shops could have easily turned that into an unnecessary expensive "repair". The team was transparent, fair, and never made me feel like they were trying to sell me something I didn't need. Finding a mechanic you can trust is difficult, and I can honestly say I've found mine. Highly recommended.

So I asked my fiancé about it and he suggested 'International Auto Repairs' at Winder near Auburn. It is a little far from my house but I was looking for honest mechanic and I wanted to know what is real problem. Definitely, I am so glad to bring my car there. He only charged $89.95 and took time to check everything. Wayne who is owner and has experience more than 20 years and Andrew who is manager and also long experience kept letting me know what they have done and how long I have to wait. They are very gentle and sweet. During waiting, I notice the shop is extremely clean and organized. I felt very comfortable when I was there. Now I don't have to worry about my car after they fixed completely. I am so glad to know honest and kind mechanics and reasonable price. Definitely, I like to recommend this place to all my friends. Both began tinkering with cars at a very young age. Emily the assistant there is just as humble as Howard and Brian. She is super friendly too. In my experience of taking my vehicle there when needed over the last 30+ years, they always finish the repairs on my car in an excellent timely manner.
