some of the managers there need to be adults and not act like children...several times i've gone in and between james and sheryl, idk who's worse. the snarkiness towards some of the other associates, talking crap about their subordinates when they're not around and not caring that there's customers, etc. it makes me want to take my business elsewhere. read more

Happy stop-in at Autozone. This location is a bit older, but it still has all the car related items. The sales guy Thomas was helpful, gave a pointer and put a part on hold for me. This was our second visit in the last year to Auto Zone #5110 in Kingston, and the second time we encountered James. He "wears" a mask with a Police Lives Matter flag design, but I doubt whether any lives matter to him, since he refuses to wear the mask over his nose. I complained the first time, and on today's visit, addressed him directly. His response was a curt "OK" and no motion to pull the mask up. Let's face it- there are a LOT of auto parts stores out there, with very little difference between them other than customer service. If James' disregard for the continuing Pandemic is any indication, I would hate to see how less serious matters are handled. We will not be returning to this store. I am angry and disappointed that this simple protective act is neglected in a public place. People like James are part of the reason why COVID-19 continues to spread in Ulster County, and across the U.S. read more

Whenever I head into AutoZone lately, it's been to find that one necessary car part or accessory for my Uber/Lyft car. But despite the fact that I had a discount code that was entered successfully but had nothing taken off, I knew something was a little off. I went in there looking for one thing, but came out with something completely different. I discovered another item that I've been wanting for my car to bring my car into the 2019-modern world - a cheap conversion kit that adds Bluetooth capability to car via my Aux jack , and although I had trouble at first getting a ride to 'stick' with me, when I later came back from Poughkeepsie, I had two rides and what I was hoping it would do, proved a success - drawing in one additional digital tip from their ride and some entertainment during their ride back to where they needed to be. I wasn't aware though of common comparison names for these types of products to compare this to, and although I'll be doing some research later, I'll definitely have to do more research on the product I still would like to find that should've been found here (for safety's sake, but this item is commonly marketed for safety's sake for mothers parenting needs.) read more

Last week, while dropping my child off for college, my check engine light came on and a helpful parent of a college-kid directed me to Auto Zone. Upon my arrival, i was greeted by a very cheerful and courteous employee (Dylan) who attended to my issue promptly and professionally. He not only took the time to ascertain the issue but took the time to provide me with the range of options and the cost estimates. This is the kind of service that empowers the customer to make informed decisions with ease and confidence. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the employees and the high standard of service. I dearly hope that this is standard operating procedure for all Auto Zones and not simply the exception in Kingston, NY. read more

I used to shop here a lot for my automobile needs. The store is organized, customer service is pretty good, but I will be shopping elsewhere for my automobile needs or just ordering online going forward. I purchase a few parts from Autozone, about $240 bucks worth, and I wasn't able to return them because they were "installed" in my car, the clerk saw the nut markings on the part. I only had these parts for a few days and they were not even used in my car or did I even drive my car with these new parts, they are still brand new. I am not upset with the clerk at Autozone, he is just following company policy. But if I have no use for these parts, not satisfied with the product, or found a better solution that did not require the parts purchased, I should be able to return them and get my money back. So as a head up to everyone, make sure the parts you purchase for Autozone you are going to use them. If you go and return them, the employees are forced to deny your return if they touch your car. Poor policy by the company, especially if the parts are returned within 5 days. 2 stars are given because I like the Kingston store, but a definite thumbs down to the company as a whole. read more
