I talked to another who couldn't identify the proper part, was looking at a part I wasn't asking for telling me he didn't have it in stock. I'll later found out his background was in a construction field but yet he was passing himself off as a car guy. The service is only as good as the intelligence level of the person you're dealing with. Advance Auto does not have the best computer system that makes it a little difficult for someone who's not well versed in the field. Some of the counter people are not. I don't think advanced is helping the kind of people that they're hiring with the computer system they have.

I had the guy at the counter test my battery and he came out and tested the battery in my car and…read moretold me my battery was bad and needed a new one, it is a 48 month battery and it has been roughly 4 years so I trusted this guy knew how to read a volt meter and went home pulled my battery out which is a little more involved then just undoing the connections and found a replacement at another parts store and took my battery in for a core charge but had them check it to verify it was bad, it tested good, they said it was weak but still good enough, so since I have gotten two different results I figured I would get a third opinion to be sure, the third place said it tested good no problems, so thanks to the incompetence if the counter guy here at O'Reillys I wasted over a hour of my time for absolutely nothing, there is no compensation for time, so I will never go to O'Reillys again and would never recommend this place to anyone, i would tell anyone that asks to go somewhere else simply because if they can't train there help to do something as simple as testing a battery how can you trust that they can find the right part or recommend any product, this place should be looked at by corporate.

Took it to a automotive electrical shop that a z recommended. Diagnosed as a bad battery. Back to AZ. They said the battery was 100%. But overnight the battery was dead. I tried another recommended auto electric place. Diagnosis, bad battery. Will autozone replace a battery that they test as good? I doubt it. Certainly won't buy another battery at Autozone. ​

They're always understaffed and slow. And they always find something to screw up or lie to me about. Yes, I've caught their auto service people in bold-faced lies just to get out of doing a job, or to sell me on something I didn't need. But this morning they tell me that there's an issue with their supplier for Fram oil filters. Sooo, they send ME to the nearest auto parts store to buy my own filter so they can change it. The guy at the parts store tells me this has been going on for some time, and he's told them he can sell them more than one filter at a time, and they actually have an account there they could put it on. But they continue to send their customers there without offering to get it themselves. So, I show the guy at Walmart my receipt, and ask to be sure that they're going to take that off my bill. He says, "Well, we'll try". So my response is that, up to this point, I've enjoyed the humor of having to run errands for the world's largest corporation. But "We'll try" isn't funny anymore! Nor is sitting an hour longer than the 45 minutes they told me when I got here right after they opened. Walmart auto service is a joke! They dont pay enough to get good people, so they dont have good people. And I dont mean to be do hard on the staff. The problem goes much higher than that! Who knew? Who knew?
