This has been my neighborhood AutoZone for years, just had a battery put in 04/2023, battery got me off a lot then never worked again, six months later of course I have no receipt and have not gotten around to get up there, but they had the whole purchase tied to my cell number and they honored the two-year warranty with no problems at all, and a good attitude to boot. I had a diagnostic test done to determine why my check engine light was on. The first person was courteous he did the reading. And, after entering the code in his system he told me I had to go to the dealer. His system couldn't decipher the code. Fortunately the manager and an associate over heard and took over. The associate (Blaine) looked up the code on google I believe. He told me what code meant. Which I identified as an intermittent issue (faulty gas cap). He looked up the replacement and the manager gave me a small discount on the one that was available (the one I wanted was an order item.) The associate took the old cap off and attached the new cap. I did this on my lunch. It was quick and I still had time to stop at the post office and return to work in less than an hour. I am just glad he/ they went the extra mile. Otherwise I would have been the one going extra miles to my dealership for a simple fix. Thank you! You guys rock!! read more

I went to this location to possibly replace a battery. A woman tested my battery and told me it needed to be replaced. I told her I was selling the car so I wanted the cheapest battery they had and that my current battery was still under the partial 5 year warranty. She called over her assistant manager and he told me it wasn't and they don't have any warranties over 3 years. I showed him on the receipt where it clearly stated a 5 year warranty. From the time I started talking to him he acted like I was a bother. I then asked if they had Weathertech phone cup holders and he walked away and got one without responding I told him I wanted to buy that too. They forgot to include it in the battery sale then it took 5 minutes for them to give me my battery receipt. I told him I still wanted the phone holder so he called someone over to ring it up. Halfway through the transaction, he came over and interrupted that person and had him work on something else. After another 5 minutes I told him to forget it and I would buy it elsewhere. The original employee went outside with me to install the battery and apologized for how long everything took. I told her that her assistant manager seemed annoyed and she said she didn't know why he acted like that. I told her it wasn't a problem because I would never be back again. read more

I went to the AutoZone a few weeks and I purchased rainx wiper blades, it was raining today and the passenger side blade broke. I went back to Canton Rd and spoke to Allen, advised him of what happened, showed him my receipt and he assisted me with putting a new pair on correctly. It took him about 2 minutes. I went to get a tail light for my car since one had blown out a few weeks ago. While trying to replace my first ever light with my girl watching(successful installation) I ended up locking my keys in the trunk. Staff is always nice when I drop by. I have had to get some ECU codes read from time to time. I've never experienced any issues. Friendly staff. The bad part of this location is the median on Canton road. If you are going Northbound, you have to make a U-turn at chastain to get into the parking lot. When you leave, you have to make another U-turn. read more

One of the autozone that seen to busy to help customer, and brought a brand new battery there doesn't even work, they try to jump it and tell me the jumper doesn't its not fully charge. Has to charge the new battery for another 45min , finally works. Total spend one hr and 30m in this place for replacement cost me $140. AutoZone has a policy of putting any refund on a store credit card if any part of payment for a transaction was in store credit. In this instance, I purchased a starter which cost around $80 using a store credit card for about $30 that I have had in my wallet for over a year, and the balance on a credit card. I had not previously removed the old starter so was charged a $22 core fee. No problem. When I brought the old starter in the next day I was told that they would only issue the core charge refund on another store credit, even though the amount I paid on the credit card was far greater than the core charge fee. I despise store credit cards. I forget that I have them and companies know that a significant percentage never get used, resulting in pure profit for them. I decided to let it go since I needed some brake pads soon. I had time to do the brake job a couple of days later so I stopped in to pick up the pads, which cost a few cents more than my store credit. I did not know that the kid who rang me up added a packet of caliper pin grease to my ticket. I had left the parking lot already but was curious why my bill was a few dollars more than I thought it should be so I found some reading glasses and checked the receipt and then looked in the box of brake pads and found the packet. I have tubes of this stuff at home and did not ask for or want to spend money for a couple of grams of grease. It really wasn't worth my time to go back but I was close so I did. I don't really fault the kid who rang me up. He probably thought that I was paying attention when he put the grease in the box but he didn't say a word, and I didn't notice. The kid who waited on me was not in sight so I told another guy what happened and he gave me a refund in store credit! I said that item was put on my bill by their mistake, not mine and I paid cash. I don't want to haul around a store credit card for a lousy $2. He smugly said it automatically went to store credit and would not fix it. I said that was bull_ _ _ _! The store manager told me he would have fixed it but since I yelled at his employee, tough crap. I had to get out of there before I dragged him over the counter. I gave the card to another customer and walked out. I have worked on vehicles for better than 40 years. I don't do it for a living but there isn't much I have not done, including restorations, custom motors and body and paint. I have 5 cars and a motor home and have been a customer of that store since it was built. I have spent a lot of money there over the past twenty years or so, but never a penny more. In all fairness I have moved most of my parts business across the street to O'Reilly's Auto Parts. The quality of parts is much better and the guys seem to know cars. I have access to some pretty good diagnostic software but the manager there has access to even better stuff and has helped me diagnose some problems and is a former dealership mechanic himself. The guys at this AutoZone are as knowledgeable about cars as the average Walmart employee (no disrespect to Walmart). The only time I will step foot in an AutoZone again is for free replacement of one of the many lifetime warrantied parts that I have on file there. Of course, you should not need a lifetime warranty if the parts are any good as most jobs you will only have to do once over the typical time you would own a car. I switched to O'Reilly after talking shop with a pro mechanic at a kid's ball game and complaining that I had just replaced the AutZone alternator in my van for the third time. The replacement parts were free but I still had to do the work. He told me that none of the shops he had worked in would use AutoZone. They source their stuff as cheaply as possible and sell a lot of chinese junk. His shop would only use O'Reilly, NAPA, or dealer parts. They could not afford to waste time with parts that would not fit or came back under warranty. So do yourself a favor, stay away from this place and go across the street to O'Reilly. read more

I needed some air shocks for a last minute Christmas present. Stopped in just before 2PM and was told they would have it in by 5. The shocks did NOT come in, James the counterman complained loudly that many things didn't come in and he was tired of customers yelling at him for it (like I needed to hear him complain). I was forced to go to Smyrna to pick them up. At the Smyrna location they discounted my REFUND, giving me back 90% of what I had paid in order to pay (for the second time) for the shocks. Staff at both stores are CLUELESS. Luckily there are 5 parts stores within a few minutes of here. The real pros use NAPA, you should too! read more

I took my car to Auto Zone to purchase a pair of windshield wipers. No one asked if I needed any assistance even though there were 4 employees and I was the only customer in the shop. I asked one of the guys to help me pick out the appropriate wipers for my car. In any event, after he picked them out, I asked if he could put them on my car and he lied and said that it was against there policy. I asked to see the policy, and of course they couldn't show that to me. So I called their corporate office and of course, it is not against their policy. In any event, I went to O'Reilly's and purchased another set of wipers. The guy was very friendly and assisted me immediately, and offered to put them on the car for me. Now that is great service. So I went back to Auto Zone and promptly returned their wipers. The guy actually had the nerve to ask me why I was returning them, and I simply stated, "You refused to put my wipers on, so I simply found another auto company that did". Of course he turned beet red and refunded me the full purchase price. read more
