I had a great experience here. Bernard the store manager was very helpful addressing the issue I was having with my battery.

They lost me as a customer tonight. While I was out around Town Center Mall, my truck's battery died. I was able to get it jump started, and called this Advance Auto Parts store en route to ensure that they had the correct battery in stock. The man on the phone said that they had batteries, but would have to look at my truck before they could commit to installing it, since it could take over 30 minutes (per the message in his system). Upon our arrival, the employee I spoke with looked up the batteries they had in stock and proceeded to tell me they could not install it due to the system reset it would cause (and there was no sense looking at it). I explained that I would not have drove all the way to this store (on a jump) if there was no chance of them doing the install at all per the system response. I explained what I was told on the phone, and I was told that they don't know who I spoke to. I asked for a manager and I was told that there was none on duty (which is inexcusable). Basically, I was lied to on the phone and no accountability was taken by the store. I've had several batteries in both of my vehicles installed here before, so I'm not sure why they're being instructed not to do so now. I'm not sure if the breakdown is between the management, the employees, or corporate, but whatever it is, I will never be returning to any Advance Auto Parts store after this incompetence. read more

Tried to get help with my car. Don't talk to Paul. Horrible. Got my battery Installed there two days ago. Car stopped working wjen I was picking up my baby from school. We had to uber home with tje car seat. Called the store and one of the managers was nice to offer help to come next day to jump start the car. I called next morning to confirm je can still do that But another store manager Paul gave me attitude and said for me to come to store to buy a jump starter. How am I supposed to do that. I am a mom alone with my baby I would have to uber with my 10 month old to tje store And jump start the car alone. He offered no useful help and said have a nice day and hung up. I understand it's not the policy to help and come and do this. But tje car was two mins drive from tje store. I would rather not walk in tje cold alone with my baby to the store nor take an uber with my baby to the store and back and try to figure out how to jump start the car by myself in the cold alone with my baby. Can Paul just take a second and be a human being for once and understand? Paul does not care about humans. read more

So I loved this store and have used it for years .... I had to replace a part in my car that i purchased with a iimited life time replace .... The part fails ... I purchase order another so I could not delay the job .... I had to go to second store 15 miles away to pick up the item ... the damaged part was then taken to this store so i could get a refund ... the team on duty refused to refund my purchase... and sent me to a 3rd store to get my refund .... Poor service .... I'm so disappointed ... now the service at the 3rd store on cobb pkwy north was excellent read more

Quincy was clearly to engulfed in his phone that he didn't greet me when I walked in. Didn't ask if I needed any help. I got to the register and he still didn't greet me. He simply rang up my order and told me the total. I then had to ask him, don't you need my phone number (so my purchase history is saved) and that's when I gave it to him. He asked if I wanted a receipt and that was pretty much ALL that he said to me. He didn't even thank me for my business. The store was literally empty. I was the only one in there. But clearly he was more focused and distracted by his phone and had no interest in working. Terrible customer service. read more

Walked in earlier today with 6 studs that where the wrong size and tried to refund them or switch them to the correct size. very small purchase of less then 10 dollars. The gentlemen below who I didn't show his face took my receipt and started talking to me condescendingly and was really giving me a hard time in which I replied either take it back/exchange it or give me my receipt and I will be on my way. By the way he was doing a video conference with another person, while I was there, so I grabbed the receipt and took my items I brought in and the guy grabs my arm then proceeds to stop me from leaving the building and says you are forbidden from coming here again. I ignored him, walked around him thinking I'm almost 60 years old and this is how a customer service agent wants to act and be a bully to an older customer. Waited about 15 minutes and they said the tester is dead. Grabbed my battery and went home. Just called them now (2 weeks later) and their battery tester still isn't fixed. Gah. Had an employee recommend the completely wrong engine coolant. After stating that I had a 2014, and that Chrysler had changed their coolant from HOAT to OAT in 2013, they proceeded to offer the old Zerex that clearly stated it was fine for vehicles up to 2012. I asked why they recommended it when my vehicle was clearly newer, they quoted the exact problem that mixing those coolants can cause: crystallization and freezing of parts. When I pointed out that mine was newer and needed the different coolant, they warned me about mixing the old and new. Uh, what? Did you listen to anything I just said? I simply drove to AAA Car Care on Sandy Plains (where I get all of my service done on all three vehicles) and they confirmed that the stuff she wanted to sell me would have been the WRONG ONE. Advance Auto Parts won't see my money ever again. read more

Horrible management with horrible customer service. I Went in for a battery issue and ended up having to involve corporate which got me nowhere. I purchased a battery for my vehicle from this store and a week later the car was dead, leaving my wife and 5 week old stranded. I went to a master mechanic to have my car tested, thinking it was not a battery issue because it was new. Per the readings, this battery was defective showing different cold cranking amps per test. So, I go to the store to discuss my issue and thinking it would be a quick swap out. They Would not replace battery without having to go through a slew test that would take days. Ironically, the master mechanic was also in the store at the same time and backed me up with my explanations. I showed the shift manager the print out of the test that clearly showed this battery was defective showing different cold cranking amps per test. It didn't matter. I came back to the store the next morning to speak with the store manager who said the same thing and tested the battery which gave a different cold cranking amp reading. Corporate said that it would be up to the store manager to make the decision of swapping the battery. So I am stuck with the battery and asked them if it fails again who am I to send the wrecker bill to. The response I got from the store manager was that I could call them and that their car insurance tows for free. My other vehicle had another battery issue so I took it to this store again and was greeted by the same shift manager after waiting for a length of time. They saw me drive up and went to the back and stayed by there for while stocking shelves before coming to greet me after another person had walked in. They asked what I needed. I asked for a battery test. She asked rather abruptly where the battery was, I said in my truck. She immediately said they don't do batteries after 8:30. I walked in the store at 8:25. Another gentleman walked in with a battery to be tested and she tested his. I walked out then realized it wasn't past 8:30pm yet so I walked back into the store and said it's not 8:30 yet. She then fired back and said "I said 8" I said OK and walked out. I Went to auto zone they were very friendly, tested my battery and handled what I needed. Had great customer service. Also, they tested in the rain which this store had also told me previously on another trip that they don't test batteries in the rain. I am also a speed perks member and shopped this store frequently. I will be looking for alternatives. read more

Was shopping for 10 minutes, 1 employee outside working on someone's car. I called out "hello" 3 times w/o any response. At top of my lungs, yelled " if you want me to just take this stuff, I'm fine with that" and still nothing! Asked worker outside who told me to go back and yell! Tried one more time and finally got 2 "clerks" to come from the back. I could understand if there was only one using restroom but I think both were totally disinterested by their attentiveness. Asked for help finding something, clerk didn't know anything and asked person who had been outside. She said he knows and will show me. He had no idea and was just as lost as I was! Frustrated, I grabbed something that might work and took 4 items to check out. Clerk couldn't even figure out how to create invoice and after 10 minutes watching him struggle, I gave up left everything and walked out. Went down the road to NAPA and was greeted, assisted and in and out in 15 minutes w everything I needed. Even got a free hat! Will NEVER waste my time here again. ZERO STARS read more

I understand this place is under new management. After calling AAA for a dead battery, the serviceman told me he could put in a new battery but there was a $50 charge due to the odd location (Bless you Lincoln engineers). Took it to Advanced Auto and the two good folks there installed it in 10 minutes with a smile for $10 less for the battery than the AAA guy wanted to charge me. I would absolutely use this service again. read more

I had 2 rusted bolts to what should have been a simple fix on my car. I went into the Sandy Plains location and was greeted and helped by an awesome guy named Eddie. He went over and beyond to help me get what I needed to get those bolts off. I had to go back 2 more times because I could not guess the right size socket. He joked with me and that helped to keep my frustration down. Even offered me a job to make me laugh. I got the parts I needed and the car fixed. I am so appreciative of the service that I got. Maybe the person helping me was different than the person who helped the other people who have reviewed this place. The guy assisting me acted extremely busy when there was maybe one other person in the store and he was working on his car coming in and out. The man helping me was not friendly which I can't stand. For a store to say "service is our best part" on the front windows I find it pretty ironic. He also was very rough with my car. I drive a luxury car and he didn't care or treat it that way at all. Not pleased. Luckily I just ran in here on my way back to work. I have one of these closer to my house with much better customer service. read more
