I needed to change one of my bulbs for the light in my car and I was helped from the beginning to end. Unfortunately they didn't carry the exact bulb I needed but a replacement was found. Reason for my visit - Dead Car Battery. Weather condition - on and off rain I drove to this location on 2/3/2019 due to my car battery finally dying on me. Since it was raining, I did not want to conduct the changing of the battery, and for safety reason, due to my recent string of bad luck, I do not want to risk it and requested the assistance of a professional. (Unlike Tim "the Toolman" Taylor from that TV Show 'Home Improvement') The professional that assisted me today was Omar A. Barrangan. He was empathic and always had a smile, with his little device, he provided clarification on the status of my battery. He said, there was enough voltage that indicates the battery is alive and kicking at 12 volt, but not enough to start the vehicle. The device had the same answer - Dead Battery. The best way is to describe Omar as like "Al Borland", very knowledgeable and experience. He spent the time taking out the dead battery and replacing it with a new one, suggested for me to purchase grease to protect the little nuts from corroding. (Truthfully, I am not a car guy, I sometimes believe I am, but I am not.) I had some dumb questions, Omar answered it while going through the maintenance without a beat. Overall, I liked the experience, the location was close to home, the service was excellent, and the employees there are jolly, even on a rainy day. read more

On Saturday evening, I brought my car to autozone since it needed a few tune ups. My car needed a new carbon air filter as well as a refill on the refrigerant. Joe helped me so much!! I was so clueless as I'm not one to look after cars. He explained everything in detailed and gave me tips on all products. He demonstrated the pros and cons and went above and beyond to help me change my old filter to the new one, as well as pouring the solution in. Joe deserves a raise for all the great customer service he provides. He ensures every customer leaves happy and gets exactly what they're looking for. I couldn't be more happy with this autozone location. It's hard to find employees like Joe now a days that really look after their customers. That's how businesses earn referrals and for customers to return! I couldn't thank Joe enough. I truly appreciate everything that he did for my car, and now it's back and running with clean cold air! This auto zone is very clean and the workers are usually very pleasant to be around. An older gentleman replaced my windshield wipers to me. The amount of cross selling they were trying to achieve was pretty ridiculous though. Maybe it's because I'm a female that looks twelve. I'm not sure. The latch on my trunk broke and I couldn't close the trunk. I was 40 miles from home, stopped at Home depot and bought some zip ties and my handy work took me 4 blocks. I stopped at Auto Zone Valley& Temple City Blvd to see if they had something that would work for me. Store employee Rosendo Valdez was standing outside the store on his break. He offered to take a look. When he couldn't repair it he used the zip ties I had purchased earlier. I offered him some money he refused and said he was glad he could help. Great customer service by this Autozone employee Joe Rodriguez, I was going to pick up oil to top off my Dodge Dart when I stupidly dropped my oil cap in between my fender and thought I was screwed but Joe noticed I needed help and with no hesistation got my cap back and cleaned it off and did not ask for anything in return. With the way things are at the moment it's a breath of fresh air to see employees like Joe go above and beyond to assist customers. read more

I brought a special oil change package from the AutoZone store on Garvey Ave & Delta Ave in Rosemead in the morning. My friend told me that Pennzoil motor oil is not good and it will built wax on the engine. Therefore, I went to THIS AutoZone to return it. The manager refused to give me a full refund back to my credit card and said "I can only give you STORE CREDIT". I just left with HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE and went straight to the original where I purchased all the items. A different manager was on her shift and she wasn't so HAPPY that I returned everything. Brought in used motor oil and they wouldn't accept it. I cleaned the container and a little water dropped in the oil and the employee (not Jorge) wearing like a manager shirt didn't accept it. He told me the water would seal his tank?? Went to The Oilmen down the street and they took it no questions or hassle. I didn't know why autozone didn't want to take my used oil, I thought they were a licensed collection facility by the state... I think the employee was lazy to dispose of it or something. GREAT EXPERIENCE! My car was at the dealership and they told me my battery failed. I called this location because it is where I bought the battery. Alfonso told me, "No Problem, we will test it and replace if it fails." Later, I picked up my car and went straight to Autozone, Oscar assisted me by testing my battery and replacing it when it failed. He and the other gentleman behind the counter got really busy after he tested my battery. Oscar kept giving me the "I'm sorry" look. After he finished with the customers he came out and installed the battery and apologized profusely. I thanked him and explained that I felt bad because I have a boyfriend who would have done all of this for me, but he was working late and didn't want me commuting to work in the morning with a failing battery. He understood. Oscar did a great job and was so nice. I would recommend this location to anyone! I just want to add, people need to understand that the employees are not required to install parts on your vehicle, they do it when time allows and to be helpful. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I'm also currently filing a formal complaint against this branch of Autozone. My dad and I came on 1/10/18 for a new battery. We asked the employee if he could remove the old battery and place the new battery in and he said yes. We didn't have the appropriate wrench at home to do it ourselves. The car ended up not starting again with the new battery and we found out that the guy helping us didn't even work for Autozone! He was a mechanic who worked near by and was trying to scam us. He told us that the car had this problem and that problem which were all LIES! Luckily my dad was there and he started yelling and making a scene, causing some people to draw near. The employees came out of the store but apparently were friends with the scamming mechanic. They were talking to each other and making jokes. The crook mechanic preceded to adjust some things and then the car worked again. Had we known the mechanic didn't work there, we would have NEVER allowed him to touch my car. The employees were useless and were not sorry at all for ruining our trust in AUTOZONE. We will never go there again! I just read a comment posted before with a complaint about that same scamming mechanic! So it sounds like this asshole loiters around the premise trying to scam anyone he could. read more

Came by to have my car battery checked. They tested it on the spot and explained why the battery is no good. It's was still under Pro-rate and they applied it to the cost of the new battery, so I saved some money there. By the time I was done paying at the counter, the gentleman that tested my battery was already installing the new battery, he also made sure that my radio was still working and offered to find the radio code, since the battery was removed. He changed the battery quickly, so we didn't need the code after all! I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Great service! read more

As a car enthusiast I tend to go to this autozone often. For the the last couple of weeks there seems to always be this man in an Acura dealer uniform offering to repair people's cars on site. Everytime you get to this facility this man is always pushing you for him to work on your car. Example: brake jobs, oil changes, tune ups etc. he goes in And out of the store like he works there but all the workers say otherwise. I was waiting in line for 10 minutes before anyone greeted me. There was an employee servicing the guy in front of me. The transaction was taking forever, but no one ever said anything to me. Finally a different employee walks in from outside and is very friendly, greets me, offers to help me while he's juggling new phone calls, callers on hold, servicing customers outside, and others waiting inside. My check engine light came on while on my way to work. It was flashing to I took it to the nearest auto zone. They ran a quick and easy diagnostic and were able to tell me what was wrong. They did not have all the parts in stock but they sent someone to pick them up from another location. They worked quickly to get my car fixed and allow me to drive home safely. David helped with the payment, there were some issues there that he was able to solve. And Andrew replaced the spark plugs.
