Since moving to MN though, every time I leave my car with this location, when they are done serving the car, they park it and leave it unlocked. I grew up in very poor neighborhoods where crime was fairly frequent. You don't leave houses or cars unlocked unless you're inviting crime to happen. I know crime is likely less frequent here, but if it's not standard procedure, if a customerspecifically requests their car to be locked, Discount Tire should honor that request. Yesterday was the 3rd time that I specifically asked the employee not to leave it open, confirmed they knew where to place the key card and how to tell it was locked on my car (mirrors fold in). He assured me it would be locked. I let him know that it was especially important to me because my car would have my set of winter tires in it and I was going on a bike ride, so would not see a notification that my car had been left unlocked. When I came to pick it up, I noted to the same employee that the car had again been left unlocked. The employee insisted he had made sure that the mirrors folded in, but when I said it was still unlocked and I had purposely turned off my bluetooth to make sure it wasn't opening for my phone when I drove up, and I had received a message that it was unlocked, he said the car was too sensitive and too hard to figure out. I told him I'd had the car for 5 years and there hadn't been a problem previously. He then said that if I got a message it was unlocked, then I should lock it. I responded that I wouldn't know if they were still working on it, plus I think as a business that works on cars, they should know how to lock the cars that are in their possession. He put his hands up and said, "I guess your car is just too fancy for me to figure out. It's too fancy." At this point I was feeling embarrassed because other people in the lobby could hear him, so I just turned and left. Once I got to my car, I called their regional office and shared my experience. She said I should receive a call from one of this location's facility managers and that she would ask them to provide training for that employee about how to lock cars with card keys, but I never received a follow-up call, so it seems like their manager must agree with their employee's assessment that my 5-year old car, a car that my son just purchased a new one for $20,000 less than the average vehicle price in the US, is just too fancy for them. It's an average-priced car with a reputation for cool technology, but for some reason, too fancy for Discount Tire to lock when requested. Maybe our other 16-year-old car is too fancy, too. I'm not fancy. I just want my car to be locked when they're done with its service. I don't think that's an unreasonable request. I should not be made to feel bad for wanting Disount to figure out how to lock cars with key cards. UPDATE: the manager called me today and we had a very nice conversation. I do think that the employee tried to make sure my car was locked and I think part of the reason he reacted defensively was because he did try to ensure it was locked and wasn't sure how it ended up being unlocked. The manager mentioned that many cars now lock when the car fob moves out of range and that employees may need additional training to understand that card keys don't do that. The manager told me that the employee recognized that he had not responded in the best way. I also said that I understood that because I felt frustrated at not being able to ensure that my car was secured when it was in their care. Because I like Discount Tires and because I understand that even good employees can have a not great moment, I will be back to this store. I'll further update my rating then.

I started searching for repair/replacement folks and found Victory. They were one of the more reasonably priced places and they give back to the community so that kinda sealed the deal. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day and the technician (is that what we call them? I don't know car things...) was able to come to my residence to replace my windshield. It took about an hour and woohoo good as new. Better even. The employee was friendly and helpfully answered all the questions I had about the service. Definitely recommend for your flying rock woes!

Lol This time, from just pumping gas, has always been friendly. The ladies at the register have consistently been warm & personable. Upon entering the service center, still warm & personable. Plus, the service manager is a WOMAN! WHAAAAAT?! So ot felt "safer," with noone "mansplaining. " Even the man that worked at the service center wasn't doing that, just explaining everything & kind. He even offered a ride back to work, so I didn't need to Uber back. They may become my new "car guy," since I haven't found one yet. Parts were 160$ but somehow with labor it's over 500$ to replace spark plugs. Shouldn't take more than an hour labor to complete. Called a dealership and was quoted at less than half the cost of this scam shop. Do not come here. You will get overcharged and talked down to like you don't know anything.

I have had many problems resolved through the green garage including a brake pad replacement, oil changes, and fluid issues. The staff are all very friendly and knowledge. The waiting area is small but comfortable if you are going to wait for a few hours. Highly recommend the Green Garage!

They had an opportunity to sell me something I didn't end up needing, but I would've believed them if they said I did and already half agreed that I'd be open to new ones - e.g. could've scammed me but they were honest. Nice to find especially as a woman. It turned out it was a minor issue that they fixed for free. They do try and upsell a bit here and there but that's to be expected TBH, that's how they make money. It never feels too pushy and they accept a no without pushing further. I'll come back for my next set.

RECALL REVIEW: I've…read morebeen putting off doing anything about my Toyota's recalled parts for... long enough that Toyota sent me a letter saying that I literally could die. Oopsies! So I searched for participating dealerships and ended up at Luther Brookdale (mostly because I knew MT Noodles is nearby). I made the appointment and even modified it online with ease. When I pulled into the Service area, I was promptly greeted and handed over the keys to my deathtrap. Richie met me inside and quickly registered me and my car, and even discovered that I was overdue for another recall that they could add to my complimentary order. I was also lucky enough to score a free check engine light diagnostic promo, which I needed (and usually costs $100 there)! I was in and out of there easily, Richie kept me updated on the progress, and they offered a rental car but I opted for the free shuttle pickup the next morning. Donnie, the shuttle driver was so friendly and sweet and knew some great shortcuts too! I highly recommend this location for your recall needs, at least. Oh and the waiting room has free wifi, beverages, and even baked goods.

Likely a used battery installed. - each time I come in they fail to notify me when car is done and leave me waiting more time than needed. I have to hunt someone down to get my car back. - came in for scheduled appointment service, I wait 3 hours, ask about status of update, they haven't touched car. Another 1.5 hours until finished. All for an oil change and to swap a battery. Why bother making appointments???? - vehicle came in for crash, car in shop for 2 weeks, they return the car with unbalanced tires. Gets fixed. Car still has issues, they refuse to have a different tech look at it. Would not recommend to a friend or family member.
