This is by far my favorite auto zone because you have people like Rene and Felix who care for your car as if it was theres. In the past Rene has taken the time to check out my car and confirm what parts I required and I have been satisfied as well as today when Felix took the liberty of helping me pick out the appropriate parts for a tune up and then adding his input for overall better performance. Worker: *ignores me* Worker: *finishes checking battery* Okay, your alternator is fine. Me: ((but you just checked my battery???)) Oh, but I got my battery checked at another Autozone, but their alternator checking machine wasn't working so he said I should go to another Autozone. He said it was probably my alternator. Worker: If you want to get your alternator checked, you need to take it out and bring it in yourself. Me: Umm... okay. ((How am I supposed to know how to take my alternator out????)) With no hesitation he managed to take it out and once I located the bulbs needed both Steve and Alejandro made the purchase feel at home as if we all knew each other for a long time. This AutoZone is really divided into two areas, the general automotive and the parts counter. For those looking for fuel system cleaner, air filter, wipers, etc are able to just go and pick them up. If you need help finding something or need a specific mechanical parts the parts counter is the place to go. The general automotive area has all the standard things you can think of such as headlights, fuel additives, filters, battery, accessories, etc. Nothing to write home about but all good stuff. The parts counter is really where the staff work. You will not see them in the general area unless helping someone. The huge plus is that they will make sure you get the right part for your make and model car. They have a pretty good stock for the majority of cars. I am sure hard to find items with be hard to find here. They had some random sensors I needed for my truck. Yeah its a Ford. Not a good outing, bad luck I suppose. Stopped in to pickup 2 quarts of Valvoline VR1 20w50 on my lunch hour, grabbed the first bottles on my shelf and got it line. 3-4 people working, waiting patiently, look down at my shirt and their is oil all over it. Bummer. I head back to get a couple of "Dry" quarts, and every single one has oil on it. I even reached back 7-8 deep with no luck. Mentioned something to the checker, she didn't seem to car that they were covered in oil and my shirt is likely ruined. Had to go home at lunch and change my shirt before going back to work. I realize this review likely won't reflect everyone's experience with this store, but I guess on this particular day, I had some bad luck. In the future I will likely will never assume that a bottle of oil is NOT leaking or somehow coated with fresh oil. Should have been more careful I suppose. read more

I am literally not good with cars or car repairs and I don't expect to in the future.... so don't ask lol First and foremost my experience with FELIX (the cat) I walked in to AutoZone Santa Ana, CA because 2 times in a row today I had to get the car jumped by AAA roadside service (the most annoying part of my day) I thought after my 2nd jump I would head over to AutoZone and thinking maybe I should replace the battery or get the battery charged. Well, all of my concerns went out the window because dealing with Felix reassured me nothing to worry. Long story short, He checked my fluids, detached and attached the battery, told me nothing was wrong with the battery it was fully charged with 12.8 voltage of life. I know I learned a lot from this sweet young man. Thank you so much Felix your service is greatly appreciated!! Avoid this place at all cost!! They know absolutely NOTHING about cars much less the parts they sell I came in here to lug nuts and I called for a specific kind m14x1.50 to be exact for my Dodge Challenger 2013 I was told by the STORE MANAGER that they have all 20 that I need as I arrive to the store he hands me wheel locks which I don't need so he brings out the lug nuts and they don't say the size length or anything and this pack only has 16 so I bought them bc I guess it has 4 wheel locks that I need so I got them and he gave me a 10% off that's great I guess turns out they were the wrong ones this manager claims that he knows all about muscle cars but he really doesn't know squat oreily up the street is a better place to go read more

Went in today around 4, hoping to get my car battery replaced & installed but they refused to install it for me :(they said they were too busy, even though there were no other customers inside. They also said it would take like 30 minutes. So I went to another autozone down the street, and they installed it for me in less than 5 minutes. This place has such horrible customer service!! I don't care how busy you are or if you're having a bad day, a smile over the phone doesn't hurt! I called to ask a questions about my battery and the person who answered sounded as if he was in a rush and said, "I'm very busy and the phone keeps ringing so hold on." Didn't give me a chance to say okay and came back on a second later to say, "UGH! someone else answered it. Is that all you need because I'm busy." Who says that???? So rude I couldn't believe it. People who work here know nothing about cars. One of the big ladies finally asked if I needed help so I ask her for a transmission drain plug. She looks up an oil drain plug.... Next she leads me to the bolts I already checked out when she was giving false info to another customer. The last straw was I asked for a transmission drain pan. She continues to look up oil drain pans and keeps saying to go to the dealership... So your ok with losing business? I stopped in with a dead battery, the store was very busy and short staffed. But, that didn't stop Roy from going above and beyond to help me out. Fist he checked my battery and definitely let me know it couldn't be charged. Then, I let him know I was on a budget and he found me the most modestly priced battery (it wasn't even on their website) and loaned me some tools to replace it. He saved my Memorial Day from being a complete disaster. I am very thankful for Roy taking the time to make sure I received everything I needed. Went here on a Thursday evening about 5:30pm to drop off an old battery and the checkout line was about seven people deep. The staff was friendly, but very slow. There is another AutoZone a few mile north on Bristol that seem to be run a bit more efficiently. If you're in the area, spend the extra couple of minutes to drive to the other location. read more

Awful service. The employees are young and don't know how to use the computer system well enough to look up parts. Waited 20 minutes in line to be told they can't look up the part I needed. There was no above and beyond here. Went down the street to o'Reillys an they located part, helped with a quick install and provided specific maintenance instructions for future prevention. The sales girl even changed my blinker light for me because she could tell how unexperienced I was. Unfortunately for her, the cap was really hard to get off. So ive gone to this location many times and service is great but i think something is going on with management... So i have a couple of cars and i need brake pads so i go personally to get them and they didnt have the cheapeast in stock.. But they had the more expensive so i opted to buy them online 3 days later i come again for brakes for my other car and i get the same answer out of stock for the cheapeast but they had the more expensive?? About 1 year ago they also did the same thing but i did buy them! It just seems like an startegy they are using its just wierd read more
