This autozone is absolutely the worse. Today (aug 23rd) at 8pm my mother and I went to autozone to get a new battery since our car battery is running low. She went in as I sat in the car. As she stepped in, the two Latinos who worked that day were being absolutely rude and were judging my mom as she came into the store. She received many glares from employees. She also overheard the cashier and the guy who was speaking to the cashier said that "Asians are that tiny..." and had said some other racial things to say, thinking that she did not know English. Well she did. Obviously from the gecko, she knew this was terrible customer service but needed a battery. So, she continued to go to the front desk and ask for help to pick up a battery and also ask for there help to change it. The first guy said okay but eventually he asked his other co worker to help her out. They had a side conversation too while she was being helped out and that to joke with her and pulled a scam to charge my mother $45 dollars to change the battery when literally everyone has mentioned that there service is free. We have also tried this service before and was never charged. My mom immediately denied the request as she knew this was a scam and decided to pay for the battery and leave. I've gone to this autozone for many years and have never experienced something like this at this location. We will also be returning the battery as we dislike the service and have found better options elsewhere. Beware of this location as some of these employees are scammers and have extremely poor customer service if you are in need of something. read more

I asked him a question about cash Back. He replied in a very condescending tone. He argued with me about the cash back has been never been done here before. I went to Autozone this morning to inquire about car battery for my car since it sounded like it was about to die. I was there but I was also thinking of calling AAA because it was just convenient too and I wouldn't have to lift a finger. But I Decided to walk in and immediately One of the associates, Andrew greeted me. He took the time to look at what was in stock and he was kind enough to go outside to double check which one would fit in my car. There's only two people working here at a time, I've currently been waiting for 20 mins for an employee to get off the phone to help me. He already started ringing me up, all he has to do is scan the item and let me leave, but he keeps answering the phone when it rings RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. 3 times he's picked up the phone and helps the person on the phone instead of the customer that is standing right in front of him. While the associates are helpful, the manager is not. Antonio the manager doesn't seem to want to work at all. He saw I was next in line, said "I'll be right with you" and then proceeds to meander around behind the check out stands, asking every other customer how he can help them, even though they're already being helped or are in line BEHIND me. Then he calls me up to the counter, asks what I need and again has me wait, saying "he'll be right with you." Why? Does he not know how to process returns? Steven the associate is kind and helpful, even though his manager isn't helping him out at all. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience at this Auto Zone. Our car broke down this morning and autozone seemed to be the only place close by with the particular battery we needed. We gave autozone a call and Miguel answered and explained in great detail the specifics of our particular battery. When we arrived, since we had no idea how to actually switch out the battery, we asked for Miguel, who went out of his way to help us switch out our complicated battery. I would recommend Miguel and this Autozone location to anyone who needs a car battery replacement and this will definitely be my go to car battery place from now on! read more

Just thought I'd share an "interesting" experience. My father stopped in to purchase motor oil for his vehicle, and I was on the phone with him advising him on what to purchase. The initial staff member was very kind and helpful, and looked up the type of oil and assisted my father in selecting the correct one for his vehicle. I would like to point out that the clerk even went to grab the large bottle for my father, and after they realized he had grabbed 5W-20 instead of 5W-30, made a point to run back and exchange it. The racks also had labels indicating there was a promotional discount. My father inquired about the discount (the employee also did promote it, as my father did ask what was on sale), and since the ads seemed to suggest that a combo of an oil filter and large bottle of oil were priced at a lower price, decided to go with the combo. The initial staff member explained that the price of the oil would be reduced, but a misunderstanding arose among us (myself included), as we believed that the filter would be included at no charge with such a promotion (I have purchased similar combos before for other vehicles, as I'm sure many of you have too-rebate, coupon, etc.). Thus, when we were told that the full synthetic bottle would be discounted to $31.99, we were shocked to find out that the total with a filter was $41.xx. To that end, we requested an explanation, and I also chimed in on the phone asking about the additional charge. The initial clerk seemed to realize the confusion, and began to explain the charges. At that time, I advised my father to simply buy the oil without the filter, as the store did not even have the correct filter in stock, and we were simply adding a filter for a different vehicle to receive the combo. At that point, I heard one employee loudly chime in with several comments, including "Why don't they just get the cheaper filter? It will only be $4.99" and as my father pointed out calmly that the signs were somewhat misleading, the employee further said that "Well, when I go to oriental stores..." At that point I chimed in on the phone and expressed to the employee that such a comment was rude and offensive. Another employee also said "hang up the phone!" I requested the name of the employee, and they refused to divulge the information. I also asked to speak to a manager instead, and my request was refused. While I admittedly was not present at the scene, I was dismayed by the ill-timed comments made by the employee in question. I was further disappointed by their united refusal to my request to speak with a manager. I would like to point out that the employee in question did note that they "did not intend to offend" after I expressed my dismay towards their comments. As someone who has visited this particular location numerous times and has found the employees to be kind and courteous in general, I was shocked. My father also left the store in shock, and I would like to point out the fact that the issue was not one related to a language barrier, even though we are both of Asian descent; we both speak fluent English. I admittedly found the comments by employee were rather distasteful, especially in Temple City, where the Asian (or "oriental" if you wish to use such a term) population exceeds fifty percent. My car batter to my Fiat DIED out of nowhere in front of my house. Triple A did not help me at all. They sent me someone to install a new battery, but the guy didn't have the battery for my car. They need to work on their communication. Triple A chose to jump-start my car and told me to find a place to purchase a battery. I took my car to Interstate All Battery Center but they refused to work on my car. They said the last 2 Fiats battery they installed didn't turn out well because their electronic system was messed up, and they didn't want to be held liable for working on my car. Distraught, I drove to Autozone and left my car on as I ran inside to tell them I needed someone who could replace the battery without ruining the electric system. It was a possible problem. Everyone seemed nervous after I brought that up, but Miguel confidently came to me and said I got this! He took an assistant with him, a pretty blonde girl (go, girl!), and they did teamwork as they installed the battery. Not only did Miguel install it perfectly, but he was also confident and professional, assuring me everything would be fine. I CAN NOT thank him enough. I will be coming back here! I came in today on 2-22-23 to get new wiper blades. While the service on the phone is usually good, I am astonished and disgusted by the unprofessionalism and vulgar language happening at this branch. Chris, Alex, and Roberto were in the back came in for windshield wipers as it was hailing and heard the employees talking about their lunch, and saying behind the counter out loud I'd rather suck a D---. They were calling one another aholes as if they thought this locker room humor was acceptable for a workplace. They were saying to one another that there's no employers helpping the guest in front. While guest were being helpped I suggest going to another location as the employees here should never be talking like this in a professional setting. I wrote to coorporate office and filed a complaint. They are reviewing the tape reaching out to the employees there between 1:30-5:00pm today and they gave me a $50 gift card. read more

Each time I have been here I have found the salespeople to be pretty helpful -- often walking me to the aisle and specific product. A few weeks back I bought some windshield wipers. They offered to help me install them right in the parking lot. While it was a simple process, they made it fun and informative -- and I now know how to install wiper blades! No complaints from me. A gentleman named Nicholas S. helped me with a new battery for my 2016 Kia Soul+. First, let me say that Nicholas' customer service skills were on point. For the brief 10 minutes that I was helped, he found what I needed, explained the warranty policy, and was considerate for others safety by wearing a face mask properly. I'll mention that I had to be helped twice because the first battery didn't perfectly fit due to my car's positive wire length; however, I got another upgraded option and Nicholas was great again. He also tested my old battery to confirm that it was dead. My first option was an inch taller than the upgraded option. Lesson learned on my part. I have gone into my local AutoZone three times. 2 out of the three the customer service lacked. Yesterday I went in and I asked for help to install my windshield wipers. They guy never came out and I needed up doing it myself after struggling. I showed up at 6:30 and I waited till they closed. The worker said he would help me but yet didn't even bother to go out and check if I needed the help still. Before that I went in for some rear view mirror glue and both workers saw me and did not greet or assist properly. Customer service sucks here. I called here and spoke to someone named Giovanni or close to that name and I was in need of eight lugnuts and stud for my dad's truck. His truck broke down and we needed it so he can get to work the next morning. This worker tells me they have the parts at a different location where I rushed to get only to find out that they only had one. I rushed back to try and buy the two left at this location and was 20 seconds away, I called him back at 9:58pm, they close at 10pm. He said sorry we just closed. I said we were seconds away but he didn't care... he said they were leaving already... We pull up and they were still inside and just had the doors locked with a customer still inside. The manager Hugo is a jerk. I bought 2 oil filter tools, and I didn't get to use them, so I returned them. He told me I was lieing, and I used one. He damage returned both oil filter tools even though he clearly said I used one. I have a 5 gallon jug of oil I wanted to dump, instead of asking me to dump the oil nicely, I heard him across store tell his red shirted worker,"tell him to dump that shit himself". I've always shopped at autozone and got most of my maintenance supplies there, but I think my confidence with their battery replacement went downhill after I was having problems starting my car. I'm still within the 3 year replacmeent program, but Autozone won't honor their warranty. According to their battery and alternator tests, my battery is good, yet only has about 60% juice left. So that means to them that it's not a bad battery?? I think if I'm still having problems towards the end of the 3 year replacement warranty, I'm going to go with a better battery like an Interstate or an agm deep cycle since I have a soiund system. I thought that Autozone's warranty had pretty good coverage but now it just seems like they're just looking to sell batteries regardless. Stay away from yellow top optimas by the way. They're no longer new as they're pretty much all refurbs. There seems to be a voltage issue with them and a lot of them have come back as refurbs but repackaged as new read more

Never touch the headlight bulb with your fingers! This is where I learned that. Why? Because the oil prints from your hands will get hot and cause the bulb to explode! I find what I need when I go. I get oils and socket wrench sets. I'll ask if I can't find it, and they'll usually point me to the place. I get some stares as a female walking into Autozone, but I'm used to it. One time I got a headlight for my car, and the guy even put it in for me for free. I gave him an energy drink sample for the help. read more
