It's a Saturday morning and I was promptly greeted upon entering. "Great. Good morning. I need a socket wrench set." The young girl at the front walked me to an aisle and pretty much said her knowledge was limited so went to ask someone else to assist me. Mind you, I didn't even say I needed any help. I just wanted to know where the sets were. I was approached by an Asian gentleman who started asking me what size I needed. I told him, I'm not sure and that's where it started to go down hill. I get snickered at for not knowing what size I needed. I'm confused because I'm asking for a SET, for the very reason that I don't know what particular size I need. He ended up recommending a decent and affordable set but somehow I feel if I was a man, that whole encounter would've have been handled differently. I came in knowing what I needed to buy. My battery died. I got a jump and took it over to Autozone. Michael tested my battery and confirmed it was dead. Since I had gone there straight from work I didn't have any of my tools with me. Michael went ahead and pulled my old battery and installed the new battery. He was great. I highly recommend. read more

Very poorly staffed. Customer service isn't great. No help when asking for comparison between product. Just generic one is more money, one is less money. I'll continuing going to dealership or private owned mechanic shop. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Would have thought better from a corporate store but no surprise when you're paying the employees like garbage. Garbage employees for garbage pay. Makes sense why this was such a horrible experience. The few times I have been here with my wife, we've always gone in and out with no trouble. There is a little asian man who is stellar at his job. If you were to ask him a question, he knows the answer. Now if he doesn't know the answer he will find out for you. There is also another man that works there, who maybe wears a toupee (just so you guys know, i am being serious) he is so AMAZING! He is very helpful and is always so very pleasant when we walk in. Autozone is pretty pricy, lets be real, we can get the same products at Walmart. But the service they provide over walmart is way better and they know their products! Thanks guys! read more

I went in tonight to get some transmission oil for my car and asked the worker if she could please help me as I was not knowledgeable of what type of oil my car needed. The worker, Jocelyn, met me with immediate attitude as she began to ask me about my car specifics, then proceeded to show me the product on the computer. She then stated it was "in the back", rather then helping me find the product. I went to the back, but went to the wrong side and the worker told me to go to the other side with the same attitude. I normally take things with a grain of salt, but this was unnecessary to experience blunt negativity. Instead of ridiculing someone for not knowing much about cars, try to find this as an opportunity to teach the individual or if I upset this worker in anyway, please communicate it rather than mistreating me. Went to this place to drop of recycle oil and return from merchs. Uopon waking in, a man was on the phone in the front counter name Vince, apparently he's the part sale manager, didn't even acknowledge me. After 10ins of waiting, he turned to me, "what do u want?" His entire attitude seems like he doesn't want to be there at all. I had a nail in my rear tire across the street, I managed to drive to this store where RUDY saved my ass. He used to work for a tire shop so his knowledge on the matter helped out. There was no way I could have fixed it myself and he pretty much fixed it for me and I was on my way and the tire is still in great condition after a few weeks. Thanks again! read more

Went here after I jump start my car to get a new battery. One of the worker was helpful - didn't get his name unfortunately but it was a white guy working on Wednesday 4/13 at night. I came to return the snowchain I didn't use for my roadtrip, the chain is brand new and in original package I have the receipt as well but the old guy at the cashier name John kept yelling (he literally yelled) at me because I'm returning not at the same store I bought it since the other store was on my way to Yosemite and this one is close to my house but still as a customer I don't see any problem with it since it's not against their return policy. I'm probably fine if they didn't let me return it and asked me to go back to original store but yelling at me is not acceptable. Fortunately an his coworker came out and settled down, he was totally opposite the other guy, super nice and politely explained to me why they don't want to take it, he was the one who saved the this rating not to be the 1 star rating. read more

My transmission fluid was low, I didn't know where you had to fill it up at or how much fluid I needed, I asked if they would show me where to fill it up at and the young lady at the counter said that only if I purchased anything they would show me where. Well I want to purchase something; but I need to know where to put it. She gave me more excuses then called a person over and said he would tell me. The older gentleman came out and I gave him plenty of respect and I was polite. I told him I was on a budget and I followed him around the store and he grabbed the most expensive items, a funnel that was $4 more than the one beside it. I tried Interject and ask about the one beside it, he didn't listen to me and was walking around the store in a hurry while repeating, "no no, come on now hurry up" When I paid I tried to pay with a debit card the system was slow and he said I pressed credit, while I pressed debit and entered the pin, he told me to do it again but to do it right this time.. Then he told me I had to pay cash because the system has been down since last night.. Sorry I keep going on; but this store is filled with people who think every customer who comes in the door is a fool, couldn't possibly know more than them, and liars, GO TO ANOTHER STORE, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS ONE! When I replaced my headlight after I finished with this debacle, the guy was helpful and that everybody else in the store was rude and unhelpful he agreed and said, "yah I'm not from this store" HORRID SERVICE NOBODY EVER GO HERE. read more

When she went to look for the item, the employee followed her through the store, then told her that they did not have something that was clearly on the shelf. It was disgusting. I only wish I had the persons name so I could repay the public shaming. Karma will have to take care of it. read more

I'm giving 5 star because I was so entertained with John working here. His bluntness, sarcasm and being a little rude isn't in a mean way because in the end he truly wants to help you. I found him to be awesome. My guy's 2 front headlight went out at the same time. Didn't know if it was the fuse, light bulbs, wiring, etc. So we're trying to figure it out (well me holding my phone flashlight). We would go in and out of the shop to get things. John was helping a lady with finding a product to cover the grease stain on her driveway in front of her garage. He would ask 'Is it on your driveway?' She would say no, it's in front of the garage. He would reply 'that's your driveway, it's in front of the garage.' To me, the lady learn something new. That thingy in front of my garage is a driveway. Another older lady opens the front door yelling 'My car battery is low.' He would yell back 'How am I suppose to know but come over.' They both walk over to the battery section. Haha I was cracking up. He went out to look at her battery and stuff. With our situation, he said 'ok, i can change the light bulb. Just pull the car to the front.' When we told him that both head lights went out at the same time, he persona changed. He said 'WHY didn't you tell me this first?! Oh no, now it's an EMERGENCY.' Do you understand? It could be wiring, etc. You need to get this car off the street! Do you understand? You can't park here. Do you understand? You may need a tow truck. You will get a citation without headlights. You need a mechanic to come here...It's an EMERGENCY. Do you understand?!' The whole time I was thinking and looking around 'Are we on a hidden camera show or something?' I told my guy to just buy the lightbulbs and drive over to my friend's house nearby. But John told the younger guy behind the counter 'Give them points. They need it! Give them points.' When we were about to leave I thanked him for his help. I was so entertained. My guy and I loved his attitude. John totally makes the time fly by quick. He is so funny BUT helpful. Don't get offended by his strong personality. You know the type where they seem like they are nagging, lecturing, being smart but at the same time they are trying to help you too. He's that type. I can't tell you how much I regret going to this location and giving them any business. I first walked in and John greeted me at the door with a prompt "Do you need help?". It was a little gruff but I was pleased that I didn't have to look around or wait for help. I asked for a brake light bulb for my Jeep Grand and asked if anybody could help me put it in as I didn't have a screwdriver with me. This sent John into a rage as he informed me in a rant that both Chrysler and Volkswagens were near impossible to change bulbs and I would have to take it to the dealership. He acted like I had insulted his family. I think my jaw may have been hanging open at this point because I wasn't ready to hear that. I myself work in retail and I am always very polite to others who work in retail because the job is hard enough without jerks coming in and demanding things. I couldn't believe that one innocent question set him off. So after his rant, asked if I still wanted the bulb and since my situation hadn't changed I said yes. He threw the pack of bulbs on the counter and told me to wait outside so we could see what I was working with. I went outside and after 3 minutes he stormed out looked at my taillight and told me that I needed a screwdriver. I knew this and if he had stopped ranting long enough I would have told him sooner. He went in the building and came out with a screwdriver and said good luck and went back in the store. I used the screwdriver to open my taillight and see that I could easily access the bulb. There was no need to go to a dealership I went in to tell John but he told the kid working with him he had to go to the restroom and vanished before I could tell him that he was really overreacting and acting childish. I bought the bulb and changed the light and that was that. All I really needed was to borrow a screwdriver and somebody to step on the brake to see if it lit up. I won't be back. read more

Go to any other Auto Zone. The employees here are all space cadets while claiming to be "experts" in automotive repair and diagnosis. When the reality is that none of the people working here are certified mechanics of any type. They have general knowledge of cars, nothing more. I went in to purchase the part that I needed to fix my car.. (had the codes read and determined it was a mass airflow sensor.) The "specialist" asked what I was buying that part for and told me that wasn't going to fix my problem based on the issues I was having. I asked him if he had a better solution or wanted to fix my car for me and he had no response but said "just sell him the part" with an attitude... I purchased the part, installed it with ease... Started it up and it fixed the problem and check engine light went out. Just can't believe that without any knowledge of my car or situation the guy would tell me that the part I needed to buy to fix my car wasn't going to fix it... What is up with that??... Also, the guys working there took their jobs way too seriously to the point where all of the customers seemed to annoy them. Just go to another location if you want to save yourself and any added stress or problems that you may encounter with the staff here. read more

There are Autozones everywhere, but what makes this one a 5 star location? The service!!! I went in to buy one of their oil change specials for my truck but I didn't see it advertised in the aisles. So I asked the guy behind the counter, who I think was the manager. He showed the weekly paper as they had and he let me choose which type of oil I wanted. There was no push to buy the more expensive options and he was super helpful helping me find it in the store. You guys have earned a customer for life! Ps they accept used motor oil, but call first to see if their oil tanks have space for your used oil. read more
