A couple of months ago I ordered two each of 7/16 X 20 cap screw chrome bolts and two each of a 7/16 X 20 acorn nuts also in chrome, got the acorn nuts in a timely manner however, the bolts were not received until around 2 months later! The problem is that the acorn nuts was marked as what I ordered (7/16 X 20) but the bolts were marked as a 7/16 X 20 but were incorrectly labeled these showed up with a course thread......................totally dismayed to say the least read more

I needed hardware for various turbo related parts and brought a baggie of bolts that I needed. Based on the invoice I was helped by an individual named Kyra. She was very knowledgeable and was able to quickly find the hardware that I needed. She took her time and made sure that I found everything from my checklist. Unless you already know the size of the hardware you're looking for, make sure you bring them with you so that they can match it up and find you the correct one. Most hardware are sold by the bags but there are a few that they sell individually. Even buying a bag full of hardware, it wasn't as expensive as buying these same bolts directly from my turbo distributor. I ended up saving money buying in bulk and also saved myself from having to wait for shipping. You need to come here for all of your automotive hardware needs! read more

They have such a huge inventory and if they don't have it most of the time the staff will go out of their way to help you find it or get it. Standard and metric, not a problem there. As any good child knows, whenever you visit home, you may occasionally get roped into home improvement projects. In this particular scenario, a bed had been moved into another room and never actually put back together. As I tried to help my mother, we realized we were missing (refer to assembly manual) M8 allen bolts. We went directly to Home Depot, because, that's where you go for that kind of stuff, man. While we spent about 10 minutes trying to find what we needed, when we finally did meet someone who could help us he shook his head and said, "that's metric system allen bolts, man. We don't have that, but Hillco will have them." And they sure did. Hillco won't have tools for you, but if it's a fastener, washer, bolt, or anything like it, they will. Reasonable price and talk about a niche market! Home Depot sends people there :-) read more

Bought 8 screws and 8 nuts that were one size too big for my application. When I went back to exchange for the correct size, the lady at the counter refused to refund or even exchange and made me buy another set! I would think a small mom and pop shop would provide better customer service but apparently not. No wonder the big box stores are gonna shut them down. Avoid my frustrations and just buy from the orange or blue box stores. SMH. read more

Lovely people, but I personally felt that it was pricey. I got 4 tiny rubber bumpers about the size of a pencil eraser. Over $5. But it's good they are there. What if I had needed something larger or more complicated? The small clips and rubber guards and knobs are always falling off and you can't even find them online! always out of everything i need. Literally out of simple things like regular metric bolts & nuts. not to mention so much stuff is in the wrong bin boxes. it really is a joke. especially when i can drive 2 blocks down the street to red ball hardware and get eveything i need and be in and out in a minute. everytime i go, they tell me were ordering them, and will be here in a couple days. well they have been out of 8x60 bolts for over a year now and still the same story. also out of every size even close to that size that i could make work in a bind. this store used to be good 10 years ago, but now its a joke. read more

For over 25 years I traveled from Los Angeles to Hillco to get all of the hard to find bolts when I restored my 48 Woodie and my 40 Ford. I use to buy my Hardware from Mr. Hill at the Pomona Swap Meet. I recently acquired a 69 Convertible Camaro and decided it was time to freshen up my engine. When I arrived at the store I was surprised not to see Andy at the counter. When I asked the representative at the counter if he had a set of bolts to hold the pressure plate to the flywheel for a Muncie, I received a blank look. It seems many of the grade 8 bolts are no longer sold individually and must be purchases by the bag. I was surprised when I was quoted $40 for (10) 3/8 inch grade 8 bolts. I guess I will have to find a new source for my hardware. read more

I like this place. Its a mom and pop type of shop that is fairly organized. when i'm putting my motorcycle or car back together and lost a bolt or a nut I usually come running to this place first to find a replacement. Even though it doesn't have an exact match, I can usually find another means to get it to work by the parts they carry here. You don't have to buy a whole bag of nuts or bolts either, they will gladly open the package of most things and sell you just a single piece. How awesome is that! read more

My name is Stephen Sauer and today I was able to finally ride a motorcycle again. I went through hell and high water to bring this motorcycle from Arizona and when I got here to California there was some fine-tuning that needed to be done and today I needed to change my shifter due to my disability. After the accident I was told I may never be able to ride again but I would not listen to that and spent a large sum of money to make sure that I would be able to enjoy passion so off I went to Huntington Beach Harley-Davidson. When they're parts and pieces would not fit my vehicle I was told that hilco could help me and when I arrived there I was assisted by more than one helpful person and was finally handed it over to a very knowledgeable kind and gracious person named Ryan. He not only took the time to assist me with the correct Hardware but went over to my motorcycle with tools and assisted with the chore that I had in front of me which was lengthen my shifter so that my bad foot would fit underneath it and I could actually shift. Earlier that day as I drove down Beach Boulevard I couldn't even get out of second gear... I was distraught to say the least and with Ryan's assistance knowledge and time I was able to get my beautiful custom bike up and running again. This is something that I haven't seen in Southern California for a long time, the midwest attitude of helping out someone in need. I was disabled and distraught and hilco came to my rescue. Considering how many different sizes and shapes hardware comes in, the shop is pretty well organized, although I noticed there are a number of empty boxes, which may be items that are less frequently used. This is the place to go for all your fastener needs. The staff is helpful and the selection is great. They have individual ARP fasteners, rather than having to buy a kit. They have moulding clips, plastic fasteners and clips, and a wide selection of materials, grades, and finishes. The only down side is they are pricey, but there is no place better locally. read more
