The prepaid online appointment requirement comes off as a pretentious annoyance, but they're anything but pretentious. The facility is so small that they really couldn't accomodate more than two couples at a time. On the plus side, you're not likely to get a random bachelorette limo pulling up! The red wines here are certainly hit the "good" level and I'd recommend a visit here if you can fit it in your (and their) schedule.

Amazing apple brandy! Obviously I had a favorite but they do have a lovey contrast of brandy in i believe french oak vs Hungarian oak. I didn't taste the grappa but if it anything like his other liquors I am sure it is delicious. I loved to know that the still is handmade a and most definitely will be stopping by their tastingroom in the future for some spirits and to checkout Steves set-up.

We had a pleasant visit here, the owner was very nice. I really enjoyed his wine explanations. He really knows his wines! He's turned this science into an art! Come here for a tasting, not far from a yummy lunch spot!

Quaint and low-key in space but dimensional in taste in wine! It's not a place to wow a new date but definitely for the wine connoisseurs! The tasting room inside can feel stuffy so take the tastings outside and enjoy the view. Your vehicle may get dusty driving here but worth it if you want to taste the very best that Edna Valley has to offer!

Autry Cellars is a unique place that is perfect for wine lovers! My friends and I enjoyed our one-on-one experience with the friendly, intelligent, and passionate winemaker Steve Autry. The view of the valley was gorgeous, and the wines were unique and full of flavor. We learned so much about wine during our tasting and felt very well taken care of. I highly recommend this winery for anyone who loves learning about winemakers, loves pure wines, or who wants a relaxing wine tasting experience! The tasting fee was $15, and the wines ranged from $30-50 from what I remember! We took home a case ourselves!

I'm new to the wine tasting game! ... for the past few years, once in a blue moon I get a chance to do it. My taste buds have been "awakened," ... I'm a total novice, but I know what I like! First off, when I'm looking for places to try, I tend to like a more rustic atmosphere when choosing (that's jus me, personally), and Autry Cellars fit the bill perfectly! We had stopped at one other location after Autry, but Autry is my FAV! The tasting was delightful and description/explanation wonderful! Doug was a wonderful host ... I loved the knowledge, he really knew his stuff! I appreciated it. So many other places, you can tell the hosts are just memorizing descriptions, but they don't know the meaning of what they are describing. (I like going into a specialized store and the people selling the product can tell you all about it, and know it)! Well, you will find that here! We also met the owner Steve on our way out! Such a nice man, with just as much of that wonderful passion! This is a quaint small winery with fabulous tasting wines! I truly loved the experience and I definitely had my favorites! Highly recommend!

Great wine selection here, and every wine we tried was accompanied by a detailed explanation of how it was made, and what inspired him to make it. We tried his Savignon Blanc, Merlot, and a Petite Syrah, which was my favorite. Mr. Autry provided an intimate experience complete with a tour of the winery, and we will definitely be back in the future!

No reservations, walk-in. We chose the tasting for two and got started enjoying our wine with beautiful views of the rolling hills. The host was very attentive and gave us our next tasting with perfect timing spaced between. We enjoyed the variety of wines we tasted and the friendly staff. There's one restroom on site located near the main entrance. They also had a nice water fountain to keep you hydrated during the tasting. Lastly, we love how this was dog friendly! We brought our little fur baby for the tasting outdoor. Would recommend this spot next time to dog owners!

The winery itself kind of looks like a house and has a bunch of tables out front. There was no music when we went but the vibe was amazing. It's a bit windy and the sun hits hard here so be prepared with sun screen. The wine was very good, some were sweet and others were a bit more oaky. The grapes they used in some of the wines were from the vines right next to us. Oscar and Clint were very helpful and provided a lot of insight on the area. We went to a couple of their recommendations in town and they did not miss. This vineyard is a solid place if you want to sip on some good wine with a view. Bottom line/TLDR: friendly vineyard with amazing views.
