I died and went to heaven!!!! First off, who doesn't want to get in sneak mode and go to this place? I've been waiting for Wine Sneak to open up since I first heard it was coming to SLO back in November. Tonight was the night! Booooooyaaaa! I felt like I was bellied up at this bar with Santa serving wine! You literally can ask for anything and they will open it with a huge smile, pour you a little taste and not even get uptight if you don't like it! I happened to love everything i tried...I know, SHOCKER! (Giggle) Anyhow, I discovered an awesome Pinot Noir Blanc. Only because the awesome lady Mary behind the bar knew I loved Albariño and suggested I try the PNB! Wow!!! I'm seriously making this my new Friday night weekday wine-down! New term for wind-down! If you're waiting for practice to finish, a flight at the SLO airport or just looking for a cool place to hang, look no further, come to the Wine Sneak! You'll be stoked you did!

El Lugar Pinot just for fun!

So nice to have a glass on my one day off! Such great choices!!! They're open for glasses, hopefully soon for their wonderful tastes!

What a perfect place to taste and buy wine! We stubbled upon WineSneak after driving back from the wineries and were surprised to find such a vast selection of great wines. Their wine bar has amazing flight options for only $15. They have an amazing deal that lets visitors try a glass of wine from any bottle they want. You can ask for a glass from the nicest of wines and the open bottle goes into the wine fridge for tasting. They also have a great selection of cheese and meats for a little snack while tasting. We had the opportunity to helped by Mary, a great local wine maker that makes some amazing reds. We also got to meet the owner, Ash, who was so friendly and helpful. We'll be stopping by every time we're in town.

Rhônedonnée is exactly what I was hoping for when I asked my friend in the wine industry to…read morerecommend a great place to go wine tasting. The location is super cool. Duncan Alley is an industrial style neighborhood with multiple wineries, a cider place, a cafe and more. We went on a Saturday and there were also food trucks throughout the alley. It almost had a block party vibe. Rhônedonnée is positioned at the corner of the neighborhood along a creek with a back patio that sits privately off of the building. The tasting room is modern, stylish, and comfortable and has a large glass window that looks into the adjacent winery where we could see the winemaking equipment and barrels of wine. During harvest you'd be able to watch the winemaker working with the grapes. More important than any of that are the wines! What I really loved is that you can tell the winemaker is passionate about wine just by the varietals he uses. We didn't have the typical Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that you come to expect in this region (although we love them as well). Winemaker and owner Aaron makes what he loves to drink. I really love to find a beautiful white wine and was so pleased to try both of the Trailside wines- a Roussanne and a Rosé of Grenache. My husband likes red wines, especially Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah, and loved Trail Secret. As a bonus, the labels are beautiful and each have a great story behind them which make them great conversation pieces and gifts. Our host Kiki owns the winery with her husband Aaron and she is very knowledgeable about wines and led us through a beautiful tasting flight. The atmosphere in the tasting room is relaxed and polished. We are looking forward to returning with friends to purchase bottles to enjoy on their patio and we highly recommend that you check them out too!
