A friend and I wanted to catch up over brunch so we decided on Autum Restaurant & Lounge located in the Manchester area of Richmond. When I walked in they were playing hiphop and the few people inside appeared to be enjoying the vibes. We started with a mimosa carafe and checked out the brunch menu. There was only one person working the bar who also took our orders. We ordered from their brunch menu and waited a really long time to get food. We were talking and catching se we didn't mind. The french toast was delicious! It has a sweet glaze and fresh blueberries on top. The veggie omelette was ridiculously good! I could drink the sauce that came on top of it because it's that good lol. My friend had the salmon cakes, breakfast potatoes and turkey bacon and enjoyed it. I tasted her potatoes and regretted not ordering any because they were so tasty! It might take a bit to get your food here but don't rush perfection m; have some patience because it's definitely worth the wait. Trust the process lol. Go check it out y'all! read more

I really wanted to love this place but it fell short. Upon entry, there's no hostess, so I approached the bar for my reservation. I was quickly seated and the staff member was very pleasant; all smiles. While the playlist was excellent, the music was blasting so loud, my friend and I had to shout at each other throughout our entire visit. We ordered the white sangria and the chicken tenders with French toast. Unfortunately, the sangria was extremely sweet and warm. After an hour & a half, we were told that our food was given to another table. Once we received our food, 1hr & 45 minutes after ordering, we were disappointed to find the chicken tenders were extremely salty and the French toast was so sweet, covered in melted sugar. We took a couple of bites and then asked for the check. The waitress stated she took 30% off for our inconvenience but, sadly, this was false. After paying $80 for 2 orders of French toast and 2 cocktails, we were left with a truly poor brunch experience. read more

This place is small. Luckily we were able to be seated without a reservation. The gentleman that sat us was very nice and cleaned off the table for us. They use plastic cutlery.They had a DJ who was playing a good mix or popular music. The drink tasted like straight syrup... not very well balanced. The French toast and chicken were decent as were the shrimp and grits. The service was very slow and not attentive. We never had an opportunity to order: a second drink to see if something else was good. It took such a long time to get the check from someone. They include gratuity in the check. Vibe is cool but they're a bit overpriced for what they deliver. read more

We had the Fried Chicken and French Toast, Lamb Chops and Cajun Grits, Breakfast Potatoes, Cheese Eggs, and Strawberry Hennessy and everything was amazing ! The food was seasoned to perfection. This is one of my new favorite brunch spots ! The drink was great as well! Be sure to make a reservation as they do get very busy on the weekends. The place is too small to be so substandard. It's maybe 5 tables or so...the drinks are so overpriced with no alcohol. We (a party of 4) waited for our food for over an hour. The music was great but extremely loud! We had to yell at one another to have a conversation. The kitchen messed my order up so I got it discounted. ++They were extremely accommodating for a birthday brunch with 10+ people. The entire staff continued to check on our party and make sure everyone was satisfied. The food was soo good. Our group had Lamb Chops + grits, steak bagel, French toast, chicken & waffles, and salmon cakes. There was only one recommendation for the drizzle they used on the lambs chops slightly throwing the dish off but they absolutely loved the grits. I would highly recommend the steak bagel which came with potatoes... they drizzle some type of honey or syrup on most of the items but everything taste fresh, and you can tell the chef is paying close attention to each meal. The drinks were not the best..even the mimosa could use a stronger champagne, but again the staff was super accommodating & made attempts to improve the drinks. The inside is pretty small so the music can get loud & they also had a DJ on the Sunday we visited, just be aware if that's not your vibe. Would highly recommend the food - dine in or to go!! We found this little gem in Richmond, which ended up being great. There was a limited menu when we went. We ordered most of everything on the limited menu. I must say everything we had was absolutely amazing. The chicken and waffles, the french toast and salmon cakes. All superb. We will definitely be coming back to try more food. read more

Went here for Mother's Day brunch with my mom, hubby and MIL. Each mom was presented with a red rose at the door. The atmosphere was lively and music was playing - though the volume was a little too high, even for a lounge. Service was prompt and our drinks arrived quickly. Two of us got the Hennessy Margarita which was syrupy sweet - almost undrinkable. The other two in our party got the rum punch, which was tasty but very light on the rum. We didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive and the food presentation was great. I had the lamb chops over gritz and it was top tier. Hubby got the hot honey salmon cakes over gritz and it was also tasty. My mom got the Autum seafood omelet and we were pleasantly surprised that it was stuffed with a generous amount of crab meat and shrimp. MIL got the chicken and waffles and she loved the chicken, but felt the waffle had too much syrup drizzled on top - she wished the syrup came on the side so she could drizzle it on herself. We were surpised and disappointed that they provided us with plasticware to eat with. Not sure how my MIL was supposed to eat fried chicken tenders and a waffle with plastic utensils. When we asked for silverware, our waitress was able to find a salad fork, but no knife for my MIL to cut her food. And I, of course, had to eat my lamb chops with my fingers. Overall the food was delicious, with the cajun gritz being the star out of everything we tried. However, the lack of silverware at this price point is just unacceptable. The drinks were just okay and not worth the price tag. Would I return? If they get actual silverware, yes. If not, I'd just order something to go. read more

Great food! Everything was delicious, and the service was amazing! We had a party of 5, a few special orders and everything was correct. The atmosphere was lovely. There was music playing, the selection was tasteful, and the volume was great to enjoy but still have conversations. I could rave all day about the french toast and the salmon cake- LOVE! The mimosas are definitely delightful. I recommend asking them to mix the strawberry and pineapple. Will be returning with friends. read more
